A Thought on Galactic Tribunals...

I've only seen part one of In Blackest Night, but I have to wonder: why go after John Stewart for destroying one world and not go after folks like Darkseid and Brainiac for destroying many worlds?

I don't know much about GL lore and the cannon of that character, but I am assuming from what I saw in the episode, perhaps their jurisdiction doesn't allow them to try those villians for their crimes? That is what I get from watching In Blackest Night. Perhaps somebody with more knowlege of GL could enlighten me.

I don't recall Darkseid destroying whole worlds in STAS. Maybe he did but...

I'll buy that.

If (or when) Brainiac does appear I'd like to hear if anyone else in the League has had an encounter with it (probably Green Lantern, J'onn J'onnz, or Hawkgirl).

This question is just like the question the U.S., NATO and the UN are asking about Osama Bin Laden today.

Why can't they put him on trial? Because they can't seem to ever get him in a coutroom?

I'm sure that, if they could, that same Galactic Tribunal would LOVE to put Darkseid on the stand and in the gas chamber. The trouble is, who's going to get him TO the stand? I'm sure Darkseid would smoke the Manhunters without breaking a sweat if they came to "arrest" him. :o

At least Darkseid wouldn't tell his people to kill him if the Manhunters came for him, unlike the other cowardly leader that was mentioned in that post!

Actually, I think that Darkseid and the New Gods are from a different dimension. That may make him out of our Galactic Tribunal's jurisdiction.
