It was a kids WB series I loved on the other hand while many others did not appreciate it. Does any one here like it? My favorite character was Emit, crazy little guy who loved looking for aliens, spies etc. Go a head and chat about that show if you'd like.

I didn't really give Detention a look, although I remember viewing ads for it several years ago.

Funny story about Detention- the first time I watched it, there was a programming glitch on WB where there was audio but no video. So I watched 5 minutes of nothing but a green screen and the character's voices. :p

POST 4,000! They said it couldn't be done, but here it is!

I remember it - premiered about the same time that "Pokémon" did. It was an okay show, but not sensational.

I remember that series. It didn't last long. I did love the opening theme. It was really catchy. :D

The show was sometimes derided as a rip-off of "Recess". In some ways, I considered it a better show. Nothing too groundbreaking, but funny and entertaining, which, in the end, is all I ask of a show like this.

I remember this show. It lasted two seasons, but only 13 episodes. By the time it was about to be cancelled, WB put it on Friday Afternoons on their wannabe Toonami block with Generation O! and some other non-action shows.

I like Detention. It was an ok show, but I was ashamed when WB cancelled it. They never gave the show a chance along with Generation O. I guess WB had other interests and other shows they wanted to get out. That's what happens when you don't have enough time slots for every show.

Hated it.

Never liked the do-gooder girl scout character either. Those kinds make me a sad panda.

I remeber that show. I also remember that kid who was a Superhero fan. He even had a dream of being Batman. I remember one comercial with that kid dressed up as Batman trying to escape Detention, but get's caught by the real Batman who is acting like a Hall Monitor asking "Shouldn't you be in Detention? Do you have a hall pass?" That was a funny commercial.

I remember Detention... not particularly stellar (though probably not as annoying as its "Recess" predecessor), but OK. A last gasp of the pre-"all Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh/action shows/etc., all the time" era KWB is currently mired in (just tuning into KWB this week for the first time in ages [usually working] finds Pokemon, two Yu-Gi-Oh episodes and (the one watchable show, excessive numbers of gas jokes aside) Mucha Lucha, making up the weekday afternoon timeslot. *Sigh*...).

Yes I remenber. I don't think there was ever an spanish dub for it.
It wasn't bad.

I still remenber:

Teacher: "You'll all be in DETENTION!"
Kid#1: "You can't put us in detention if we haven't done nothing.
girl#1: Yeah!
Teacher: Sorry force of habit.

I think it was like that

It was nice. It did seem like a "Recess" rip-off, but it was still decent.
And I almost forgot about Generation O!. Forgot what the O stood for, though.

Oh yes Generation O, I remember it. It was a bit Zany for my taste but still pretty cool and it was an original idea. I agree it gave us a break from the anime shows now and days that all of the stations are airing. Any who back on topic which episode was that? The Batman one don't remember it too much haven't seen an episode of this show in ages though I still miss it much.

The frontgirl for the band of the title was named Molly O. You can still check out the show's official site: http://www.generationo.com/

Detention wasn't the greatest show around, but I enjoyed it. My favourite characers were Emmitt Roswell, the conspiracy nut, and Jim Kim, who loved reading comics and acting like he was a superhero.

What I didn't like about Detention was that all the characters were programmed. Every thing they said had to fit the personalities carved out for them--every time Emmitt spoke it had to be about some kind of conspiracy; every time Jim spoke it had to be about an event relating to a comic book. They had no lives outside of their stereotypes, and the show wasn't very deep.

It sounds familiar, I'd have to see pictures.
