I've recently been listening to a lot of NES songs redone by rock bands, courtesy of Minibosses (http://minibosses.com/) and The Advantage (http://www.theadvantageband.com/). OCRemix.org is a great source for remixed video game music, but the majority of the tunes there are dance remixes, which I don't really care for in a lot of cases (there are some truly awesome exceptions, though! :)).
Do you guys know of any other rock bands like the ones mentioned above?

The Black Mages (Noburo Uematsu's band) come to mind.

Go here. (http://www.rock-out.net/backup/)
It's a list of TONS of videogame cover bands. Notable ones include: The Neskimos (my favorite), Game Over, and Stemage. Also check out Eric and Quarter Circle Jab. Oh, and 14 Year Old Girls. (http://www.14yearoldgirls.net/) They're weird.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'm finding some cool stuff, including the Tetris themes played on acoustic guitar, and the entire Mega Man 2 soundtrack done by a band called Project X. They use a few different styles and it all fits nicely.

Project X is fantastic as is the Black Mages. the Minibosses are also good
I've met the Select/Starts and they're pretty cool! they're more instrumental than most of the VG cover bands out there.
