The New Batmobile..

It looks like the Batman Forever one (Which is OK I guess..)..but for a Year One movie..it seems to be a bit beefy looking..I realize this is just "concept"..but it still looks funny. My main dislike is the back of it..the engine is too big...it just looks like it's.. "unfinished"....ah well....

It does look cool in spots, but it also looks like something Marty McFly would take Back to the Future (2nd pic).
The top pic is cool except for the face on the front. Seems like it would be blocking the line of sight for driving.
I wonder if the eyes light up?

I think it can work if they do it right. I think they're on the right track with this design. Nothing as gawdy or ghastly as the bat mobile in BATMAN FOREVER and BATMAN & ROBIN.

Can someone please tell me why Terry's face is on the front?

It's just a different version of the Bat faceplate that the original Batmobile had. It's probably just a coincidence that it slightly resembles the Batman Beyond face.

For now, I don't care what the new Batmobile looks like, for me this is awesome, because it's the first "life sign" of the Year One project. I never thought it would happen, but now it seems like I was wrong.

Yeah, i'm not digging that giant bat-head on the hood. But i liked how in the comic Year One, Batman didn't have a batmobile. It was more like he was just starting out. But i understand how the studio would want a cool batmobile toy...

I like some parts, dislike others...

I like the back. The important thing to remember is that this is Bruce's first Batmobile, so it's supposed to look incomplete, and half-done. As for the front...I understand they want to make it look somewhat like the classic Batmobile...but........no. :rolleyes:

I'm sure the final result will look excelent. Perhaps this will be a batman movie where Hasbro is going to have to put some detail into the toys. If all of his gadgets are going to look "just made" like the batmobile..we're gona get some nifty rusty stuff...right on!

Well...mixed feelings. I hate the giant Batplate...too Golden Age...but the rest of the car looks kinda like the one destroyed in Cataclysm.

What they need is a simple sports car type thing like he had in the late 1970's. You know...that blue car with the bat on the actual hood and no fins? Only black, and with fins.

Its not that bad. That head is seriously oversized though.

I like it, though I'd shrink the head a bit and slick back the ears to make it a bit more aerodynamic-looking.

Hey, whats wrong with Golden Age? Not a damn thing wrong with a bat-head on the front!

Still, this particualr design doesnt exactly make that idea work well.

We Basically have Terrys head on the front and the hubcaps from the original TAS Batmobile.

I like the first one enough, but the ears are WAY too big! The second one just looks ridiculous. Reminds me of the car in Men in Black with that big jet popping up. But, as another member said, it's just nice to see some actual designing going on in general.

That said...the bathead is o.k if it looks a little scary, like the current Batmobile...

As to the big bat head...I believe...in my lmited knowledge, that one of the 1st Batmobiles had a battering ram w/a Bat's head on it..I think that's what that is supposed to be.
