How would the two physics compare to each other? Which one's more powerful than the other? And how would one physic cancel another and vice versa?
I did that here (http://forums.toonzone.net/showpost.php?p=1454084&postcount=21)
But still I want to see what others have to say.

Okay, sort of on topic, last week's episode of Inuyasha (Jakken's plan to steal Tetsiga) took a page right out of American physics. At one point in the show Jakken (impish comic-relief sidekick) was running haphazzardly through a forest and then ran off a cliff. At that point, he did a classic While E Coyote; running in air, looking down, trying to run again, and then falling.
I laughed my ass off at that.

Genius.
Both anime and American cartoons seem to follow the rule that anyone can survive a fall from God knows how high off the ground, as long as the fall is for comedic purposes.

depends on what toon dynamic you go by...there is a lot from funny toons to serious ones that don't use a lot of wacky stuff. I'll list some
notiable one Toons don't die they fade away :anime:
American toons
--Characters move in a realistic human fashion.
--The characters face will fully express how they feel and it reaches their eyes which just adds to it.
--The mouth actually synchs up with the diolauge. I even seen dubbed over American toons and the actors still manage to sync up dio in their own language.
--The characters head moves when they talk, they also move their arms and body for more expression.
--The hair is always bouncy, a slight turn of the head just causes any hair style to bounce for a sec...especially pigtails.
--Sqaush and Stretch...no matter how much you do that too them...they spring right back.
.Dropping heavy objects doesn't crack the skull only makes them dizzy...and apparently you discover their bones are squishy.
.And their bones seem to be so taffy like, they can be pulled for yards.
.The character can have a cast one minute and be fine the next...save loads of doctor bills.
--A bucket of paint can do wonderous things:
.Make a brick wall just with the swish of a paintbrush.
.Make a tunnel...complete with train track
.Ceate a blackhole that goes to 'who knows where'.
.Can completely cover a characters body...including the whites of the eyes.
.One bucket throw can completely cover a wall or house...thus finishing a project and saving a lot of time and money.
.Spilled paint always seems to splotch or splat.
.Throwing paint out of a bucket goes in a perfect arch and makes it mark, and there is no paint left in the bucket...at all.
just a few stuff ^^

It also happened in Shinzo (one of the air town episodes)

There's not really any difference. Shows like Static Shock or Batman have realistic physics while shows like Looney Toons and Ed, Edd, and Eddy have wacky physics.
Same with anime, but some times even in realistic physics anime you have the psycho girls punch the main character and sends him flying into the sky. :p

Its kind of hard to make physics for american cartoons since there so much more versitile in variety of styles in american cartoons then anime. There are lots of serious anime and such but even they sometimes have goody little things in them. Anime is like cheese, theres lots of different kinds, but its still cheese in the end.

This isn't physics-related, but I always wondered where the japanese "sleep bubble" comes from. I used to think it represented a bubble of snot. Wait...does it?

I think it's similar to the "nervous rude guy" with the snotty nose because of the whole custom of the Japanese blowing their noses in private.

Makes sense, but I don't think Lufie's [?] physics are that much different from any other anime. Want REAL squash & strech? Check out TMS's work on Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries and Tiny Toon Adventures.
Most anime I've seen still values rigid character models in even the most expensive productions. Americans still largely practice the Disney model of "pliable" realism.

Anime Physics
- No gravity around a female's hair or breasts.
- A character with energy-shooting ability usually has enough energy to physically push back their own body before shooting.
- Comedic pause allows anime characters to freeze in place before falling over.
- Backdrops tend to change based on situations.
- Characters doing a flying kick have a moving background that makes them seem they are traveling at mock speeds.
- Anime characters only can get bloody but never cut.
Cartoon Physics
- Falling, being crushed, or any other accident can be walked away from.
- Falling on your head makes you seem like there are birds or stars flying around the head.
- Running off a cliff won't make you fall until you look down.
- Very large objects, such as a mallet behind your back or an elephant in a suitcase, are found in tiny spaces.
- Chacters can lose teeth when they are punched out, and have them back within 30 seconds, no questions asked.

The creator of One Piece said that he was inspired by the squash and stretch in Tom and Jerry.i'll believe that^^
pretty much. Loony Toons are what Japanese know the most. Then there is Disney of course.
Toons:
--You know a character is going to run full speed if his/her legs are turning in a blurring circle.
.This can also keep him/her in the air for however long s/he wants
.Strange noises like reving seem to be heard...didn't know legs could make such a noise
--Bouncing when landing on a hard surface area
.A bounce back seems more common if the target is concrete
.A wall, and the chara will stay in motion by being bounced to the next wall...regardless of that saying "A body in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted on by an outside force"
--Slammed onto a surface
.Hmm desert settings don't seem to have the same effect as concrete. It will collapse under the chara as they make their landing
.And end up with the characters silhouette...freaky
.If there is a cliff legde, a certain amount of force (like a butterfly for comedic effect) will cause it to brake off and thus sending the chara to a grounded silhouette fate
--Suicides
.Never seem to be truely successful
.The chara seems to have some attachment to the audience and will wave before they off themselves
.They have a mopy face that seems to REALLY indicate they are down in the dumps, tears seem to just...drip out in large quanities, and disappear hitting the ground
.Drawn out and dramatic, sappy music plays. most common is a violin piece
.Exaggerating the method of death makes it more comical then sad
.Objects are enlarged...like (for example) a gun with a HUGE barrel and a small revolver...now thats silly, your thinking "them some big bullets"
Anime:
--You know a chara is going to run full speed if they spread their arms out and their legs movements look more like knife stabbing motions
.Regardless of how far forward they lean while running...they never fall...because their legs seem to just grow longer at that point, and cause them to have a greater stride
.Running at such a speed they can stop on a dime, or complete a far jump...with a "Fwip" noise
.While running at such a speed...little "pu-t pu-t pu-t" or "tat tat" noises are heard when they run...must be pretty light on their feet.
--Bouncing against a hard surface
.Oh boy do they bounce...not just that, they skip across the ground like someone who threw stones on pond water, the "body in motion" factor seems to play into this, but lessened enough so that the chara is slammed right through the object that should stop them
.Also there are close ups and the chara will bounce up like about...a foot off the ground, depending on the height they fell or were thrown from. And they make little "Gahnn" noises...When I doubt that would be the sound that would come out someones mouth hitting the ground with such force. Because they get right back up.
--Slammed
.A crater is left behind in a perfect circle...and they always look alike, like a spiderweb effect
.The harder the slam the more the crater increases in space...and deepens. Looks more like a pot hole if any
--Suicides
.Always successful
.Always seem overly drawn out and dramatic
.Music is usually light and airy...pretty and stuff
.It seems girls are pron to jumping off buildings, while guys shoot themselves
.The chara falls in SLLOOOOWWW motion, and the background goes white and its all shiny and bright and the chara seems to be flying
.They always die with their eyes open

You also forgot, when anime character REALLY get moving, their legs become such a blur of speed, they seem to have about six to eight legs, and then appear to be able to blink in and out of view as they race out of sight. Their arms can reach a similar state.
And least we forget anime characters can be punched through mountains. This seems to slighty annoy them.

Mallets come out of nowhere in anime too, when there's a guy who says something lewd and a girl who wants to make him pay for it.
And then of course there's facial expressions. Anime has the forehead vein bulge, the sweatdrop, and the nosebleed. American cartoons have the eye bulge, the jaw drop to the floor, and the wolf howl.

Toons and Anime:
everytime the character has a flashback or thinking about something...theres always an echo effect at the end of the flashback...hmmm strange.
Flashback Toon
theres the wave effect, followed by a string of harp playing
Flashback Anime
theres and echo first, a close up of the charas eye.
