Finally after a long, long grueling month Naruto finally returns. Now I don't know if these pics are Offcial yet but they sure look like it.

Though naruto has'nt changed that much I'm just glad he finally ditched that Orange jump suit.

I know. I was hoping Tsunade would teach her a woman could be beautiful and strong but, I guess she likes it short or it just makes her easier to draw.

I freaked out seeing those images, Naruto looks freakin' ownage now. Sakura looks great, too.

I mean, not a huge difference, but at the same time, completely different.

Can't wait to see everyone else, especially Hinata.

@Ionspark: well your still a ways off from the manga. Your halfway through the arc the anime is on now then after that is a shorter one.

Depends on where you're at in this case. I'd say you should catch up, but if you're close you could skip and maybe just read the last few chapters of Part 1.

Naruto will own for sure. Nice changes. Now that Naruto doesn't have similarities with Goku anymore, it's a good step. Now, if I remember Naruto will be a 15 years old boy.

I hope when the Anime will be on the same time line with the manga, the show doesn't change the name like Dragonball / Dragonball Z. And if the creator makes Adult Naruto, Naruto should be done by a new voice actor.

Breif recap:

Naruto and Sasuke fight, Sasuke taps into his his lvl2 seal powers and gets all fugly. Naruto taps into Kyuubi powers and goes all feral. They fight, Naruto loses and returns home where he swears to Sakura that next time he won't fail. She agrees and decids to do something about it next time, so she trains with Tsunade on becomig a med-nin. Sasuke goes off to join the dark side while Orochimaru grows impatient and enters a new body, now he cna't do it agian for 3 years. Jiraiya knows that, so he takes naruto away to train for the 3 years.

That decision would rest on Studio Pierrot's shoulders because Naruto the animation is their product. With Dragonball, it was Toei's idea to change the title from Dragonball to Dragonball Z at the start of the Saiyan Saga, Akira Toriyama kept the title as Dragonball through out its publication.

Yeah, but I constantly hear adults classify teens within the kid category..of sorts. And besides, it's not such a large jump like Dragonball where Goku goes from kid to adult and is married and has a kid.

Oh how we forget the time jump of Dragonball. Goku was tween I believe when he beat King Piccolo then the next saga he showed up as a teenager. He beats Piccolo Jr. and then goes off to get married with Chi Chi. The time gap between DB isn't that large really. Probably between 5 and 10 years. Larger than Naruto's though obviously.

Which would come back to what was said before it seems, unless people important died and things REALLY changed then a name change and revamp is unecessary.

On another note it seems all these new manga chapters are awesome. Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Death Note, Hunter x Hunter, D. Gray-man, etc. They all seemed to have boosted this week.

I like the new looks. I prefer this costume of Naruto's over his old one. But then the coloring of it could easily ruin the look, so here's hopin'. Sakura looks similar to Rin, lets hope she has learned some good stuff in the last 2-3 years.

Its still orange but looks much better than his last outfit. Anyway it was a great chapter. Naruto is becoming more like Jir (in some ways bad) and Sakura becoming more like Tsunade. I was hoping naruto had matured some but it looks like he still has some of the old naruto in him much to sakura's dislike. :p One thing that surprised is that he is no longer wearing Iruka's head band which he cheerished so much.

I would have liked a longer chapter, but it was pretty enjoyable so I didn't mind. As long as Kishimoto doesn't take any off weeks, it'll all turn out okay. I'm just glad to have Naruto back, seeing as how we've been waiting almost three months between the month long gap and Kakashi Gaiden.

I was a tad dissapointed in it's length, especially since last night rumors were flying about 50 pages.

I joking with a budd of mine that Hinata would come back all gungho and barely recogniseable, like a younger Anko. it would be too wierd tho, and remove some of her charm. I have never had the urge to jsut..HUG someone before, and Hinata's it. that and nuggie her, I dunno why...O_o (no, I'm not using ephemisms)

I'm convinced the "tournament" style of selecting chuunins is a thing of the past after the last Test's fiasco (2 Kage's were killed!) I'm sure Kakashi knows that Naruto and Sakura are Chunin level, he just wants to make it slightly more official.

Naruto's suit looks better. The black parts make it look more appropriate for a ninja, and the orange helps it keep it's Naturo feel(the orange also seems a bit darker, but I'm not sure).

Saw these on another forum, someone went thru and colorized the new manga pics of Naruto and Sakura and then put them next to somewhat comparable pre-existing old pictures of them to compare the differences. Not really official, but interesting.

It seems to me as if its not yet the full transition between "Naruto" and "Naruto Z" .... if you remember in Dragonball, the crew parted for 4 years or whatever, and then came back, and Goku was older and taller than Bulma at that point, but they were still teenagers. DBZ was when they became adults, and Naruto will likely take the same direction.

I have a feeling Shikamaru will probably look almost exactly the same, maybe just a little bit taller. He already looked similar to his father with the flak jacket on, I can't see him changing his look much.

Sakura did a great job. I'm guessing Kakashi cover his ears and eyes because Naruto was going to ruin the end of the book for him, so that's how they got the bells. So its nice to have Kakashi still very much on a level above those 2.

Actually that panel was from the original chapter. You can usually tell because of the big jump in Kishimoto's drawing ability and the look of the characters.

The new Akatsuki team looks cool as well. The female appears to be a Hidden Sand missing-nin. Probably why they were sent to invade Sand. I assume they're going after Gaara and Shukaku. Would be nice if Gaara could win this battle. Though Hidden Sand Kazekage's don't have a good rep so far in the series as far as fighting abilities go... heh.

Exactly, Kakshi has a pretty good feel for naruto's abilities now, and especially Jiraiya, a close , perosnal friend of the Hokage and legendar Sannin. I'm sure Naruto is more than qualified already. there is no need for formalities.I'm so anxious to see Rock Lee as a Chuunin I'm bursting! I was able to catch up from being about 90 chapters behind in under two days, but that was a period of pure obsession.

I'd kind of like Naruto to have to go thorugh the Chuunin Exam simply because it would be more official, and it would show what the downside to him leaving for 2 and a half years was.

Yeah, but Kankuro and Neji have a good rapport with the rest of their team and have no problems assessing the situation and making the best desicions for the team. We've never seen Shino behave as such....bt then again, we've never seen Shino do much...

Gaara is freaking awesome. No one should be questioning his being Kazekage at this point, he whips out a fresh can of PWNAGE on the Akatsuki chick.

Of, course, attacking a Kage level ninja that can control sand in the middle of the desert is about as smart as entrusting the most powerful scrolls in the world to Udon. Seriously, what was Akatsuki thinking on this one?

I think this was just a scouting mission that went horribley wrong. The girl was probley just supposed to take pictures of the villiage and not get caught. But Gaara found her out and she was forced to fight.

Gaara seemed to have the upper-hand for much of the match, I have a feeling he's going to get his ass handed to him soon though. Come on Gaara! Give the Kazekage title some meaning! Yeah it looks liek he crushed her right arm. If I'm not mistaken, that's the same arm with the mouth in it. More than likely, the mouth (if it is indeed the Vampire Hunter D ref that it looks like it is) will be able to heal this girl (are we sure it's a girl now? Haku and Yasshamaru pushed that limit for me)But Gaara owned so hard, I loved seeing him on his floating cloud of Sand. you KNOW this guy is a total master of his environment. there is no reasoning against him being Kazekage.

I haven't read this chapter yet, but I was thinking the reason the Akatsuki went to Sand Village was to get Gaara. They would go after Gaara for the same reason they are after Naruto. Gaara has that spirit bagger "what his name" trapped inside him.

Yep. Gaara not only looked awesome but he owned so hard. What was the Akatsuki thinking, attack Gaara on his own turf. Perhaps the other Akatsuki guy has a skill that will even things out because I really don't think the Akatsuki would make a mistake like this on purpose.

Chapter 249 has been released. Looks like Gaara lived up to his title as Kazekage and went down protecting his village. Here's to hoping if it is a "Save Gaara" arc, that it will be interesting and not quite as plodding as the return Sasuke arc.

It bothers me that we still don't have a name for the......person who is attacking Gaara. let alone actual gender (after Haku and Yasshamaru, I don't take gender at face value in Naruto :shrug: )

but DAMN Gaara was kickass in this one. I'm a tad disappointed Kankuro hasn't changed much:sad:

Gaara did a great job fighting, and took on the Akatsuki member quite well, even crushing one of their arms. I'm sure Gaara will fight back against them, but for now it seems like he is out.

But so far, every chapter of Part 2 has been awesome, that month long break really improved the series quaility, it would seem.

And according to a translator, Gaara's oppent used a male pronoun, so they are, actually, a guy.

if I remember previous discussions properly, the male pronoun that was used is one that could be used by a "tough" girl. We'll never know till we get a specific responce (or until Shikamaru fights "her" cuz he always ends up with the wimminz)

I think Bird Girl's awesome with the artistic attacks she has. (Rock on, artists! Evil ones too... yeah) But I like Gaara too so it was tough to know who to root for. :D I'm thinking it's a she, judging by the ponytail and face...

Well shut my mouth. Sakura became useful in more ways than one. (If she was just a healer then she'd be a lot like Dende) Maybe I won't feel like punching her everytime she appears on screen.

I hope Hinata became much stronger, she being my favorite character and all. I was not pleased the last time we saw her just serving tea while the others trained.. :shrug:

Remember, prior to Akatsuki's bit at the end of Part 1, the last we see of the main cast is Hinata vowing to become stronger. That's definitely a very good sign. Plus, she's a Chuunin now, so she has to be pretty good at this point.

Well, 251 raw is out, and its rather interesting. There's definitely quite a bit of dialogue that we need to wait and see on, like the conversation as they left Leaf.

But the fight itself was cool. Sasori is definitely a level above Kankurou, but that's expected from an Akatsuki member. Temari joins Kakashi's team, but Shikamaru is no where to be found, I guess hanging around Temari was too troublesome.

Looks like Sasori is a Metallica fan, "master of puppets" indeed. Preliminary reading seems to say he was a puppet master who left Sand 20 years previously. He was known as "Sasori of the Red Sand" and he is the one who built Kankurou's puppets. Kankurou gets hit with a new poison that was developed but for which there isn't a cure yet. This is certainly going to piss Temari off, a brother captured and the other about to die. Also looks like Sasori is going off on his own to capture another demon vessel.

The last thing I want is another chase arc that devolves into a tournament. It kinda worked for the Sasuke thing, but I could do without weeks upon weeks of hunding Deidara and Sasori thru the forrest with a couple of weeks-long fights while Gaara (frickin Kazekage) remains unconscious waiting to be rescured.

we KNOW Naruto's gonna use that special Justsu Jiraiya doesn't want him to use. and I Hope Sakura gets to flex her healing muscles on Kankuro, that would be cool (you know,in that "she's now an active and participating member of the cast" kind of way)

I'm also pleasently surprised to see that Sasori's tail is puppetry and not some weird cybernetic thing. It is a shame Kankuro's fancy new puppets got broken :crying:

Yeah, it was just a thought. He's got some sort of ability that he's holding in check(eyes during 2nd exam), which could be either a Youma or a kekkei genkai.

I think its interesting that Kankurou went up against the maker of his puppets. I'd say odds are good that in the final battle against the Akatsuki, Kankurou will battle against Sasori.

Interesting even though the Mangekyou is the highest evolution of the sharingan its use comes at a heavy price of losing ones eyesight. It seems like a fitting curse since to obtain the power they must kill the one closest too them. I wonder if this is the real reason Itachi joined the Akatsuki. Perhaps he wants to obtain Kyubi or anouther demon for himself so he can make use of their healing powers. Or Maybe the leader is very experienced in medical skills and can fix the defect.

Back to Kisame vs. Team Gai I found it funny to see Kisame use the same teq that Zabunza used to capture kakashi. If anyone can probley breakloose from the prison its neji.

Nah. Kakashi couldn't simply break out of it when it was done by Zabuza; I don't see Neji being able to get out of the same jetsu done by the more powerful Kisame even though he is a Jounin. The sole solution is to force him to break it like Naruto and Saske did for Kakashi. So its all up to Gai now. The good news is Kisame has to sustain the clones to keep the prisons in place, so that probably divides up his chakra a bit. And with the lives of his students on the line, I think Gai will rise to the occasion.

Nah. Kakashi couldn't simply break out of it when it was done by Zabuza; I don't see Neji being able to get out of the same jetsu done by the more powerful Kisame even though he is a Jounin. The sole solution is to force him to break it like Naruto and Saske did for Kakashi. So its all up to Gai now. The good news is Kisame has to sustain the clones to keep the prisons in place, so that probably divides up his chakra a bit. And with the lives of his students on the line, I think Gai will rise to the occasion.
Yes but you know the secret behind the move has to be chakara flowing through the water and Neji can see it and use his chakara to break free much like he did during his fight with spider-man.

Amazing. Looks as though Kisame is down for the count. The fight didn't last long at all, but it'd be wrong to say it came easily since Gai had to unleash the gates. At that level though Kisame was clearly outclassed, and Gai's attack was superb--flaming fists of fury all over the place. I notice that Gai seems to be in pretty fine condition after doing that. No doubt he has limits, but it would seem he has the physical capacity to do it multiple times. a striking contrast from Lee pushing it so far and winding up seriously injured way back when. I'm glad about this fight because up until now we didn't have that much insight into just how strong Gai is. Answer: extremely.

Also, he used nanchucks. Nanchucks are cool. Nice to see a niinja weapon besides shuriken or kunais being used.

Yeah, Gai was kicking ass and taking names their. But for him to take out someone who even the leader of Akatsuki regarded as having a huge amount of chakra, puts him on a level equal to the Akatsuki(granted, Kisame was missing 30% of his chakra, but Gai also didn't open the last two gates).

Kisame is at least unconcious or has lost enough chakra to have to disband the lake of water jutsu.

Naruto did a one handed Rasengan! :anime: Too bad it looks like he got caught in some sort of Genjutsu that makes everyone look like Itachi.

Not really, the central pupil was a lot bigger, hiding that inner ring. Plus, look carefully at the lower left tomoe, you can see how it starts to draw back in rather than merge into the center pupil.

I'm a proponent of the Kakashi getting Mangekyou idea, I just haven't seen enough clear evidence to say he has it now.

It's wierd I didn't catch the blindness side effect thing until it was pointed out to me. In 257 when Itachi says something like, "Kakashi, you couldn't have." I thought he was surprised because Kakashi had a Magenkyou Sharingan, but when I read it the blindness thing seems sorta pushing it if you ask me, all there is to back that up is Kakashi commenting on Itachi's eyesight, I took that to mean Kakashi was speaking metaphorically, as if to say, "Itachi, how narrow-sighted have you become" or some other sorta generic insult/comment. Ah well guess we'll see in time.

Holy Crap, Gai is Bruce Lee mixed with Fei Long. As for Kakashi having the Magenkyou I doubt it. He could have found out about the Magenkyou causing the user to go blind by perhaps reseaching it. Itachi was so obsessed with gaining more power he may not have researched it throughley before he obtained it.
From all two people in the history of the Uchiha Clan, including Itachi, who can use it? I doubt there would be very much information, especially since Fugaku didn't know very much about it when Sasuke asked him.

After Sasuke saw Itachi's partial mangekyou sharingan, he asks Fugaku about it, and Fugaku says that there is another form of the Sharingan called "Mangekyou Sharingan", and that there is a special condition to awaken it, but not much is known about it.

I'm sure Sasuke would have found whatever was in that room during those 5 or so years, anyways.

I'm unsure what happened with Jiraiya that Naruto is remembering, but it seems like Itachi's genjutsu caused quite a bit of trouble for him. Itachi is pretty powerful to be able to perform powerful genjutsu with a single finger. Now Kakashi vs. Itachi Part 2 can commence.

Yeah. I mean, we the readers knew he couldn't since his Chakra is needed elsewhere but to let the enemy know you can't use your trump card was a stupid move.

Can't wait to see Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, and the old lady own him. Though I suspect he'll be taken away from the battle scene when Zetsu comes to fetch him to save Kisame.

Ending in a typical "We will meet again, Naruto." :p

Then it's off to save Gaara! Though we haven't had a frame of his torture in awhile. Hope he's still alive. :(

He's fine...relatively speaking. The entire Spirit removal takes 3 full days, and they've been hot on the Akatsuki's tracks for a bit now, I don't even think it's been more than a day.

I don't know about the whole Gaara being fine thing... 260 came out and the preview for the next chapter is "Gaara's Death." Anyway 260 was good, explains some of the weird oddities of the last few chapters, i.e. why Itachi couldn't use Mangekyou, and potentially even why Gai couldn't recognize Kisame. Maybe he was able to pierce the illusion without realizing it.

So Yuura and some other random underling of Sasori are dead now. Sasori doesn't seem pleased, either.

Naruto's Oodama Rasengan was pretty cool, but he still needs a Kage Bushin to use it.

Next time, "Death of Gaara":eek: Kishimoto has used ruses in the previews before, but it isn't looking good for our favorite Sunagakure Sato Kazekage-same.

imo, she wasn't crying for Gaara. Being told what will/might happen to Gaara made her realize what they will do to Naruto and she's concerned for him (awww...:p ).

All signs point to Gaara being dead, but Naruto can't break another promise nor fail another mission. Chiyo said that the extration will kill the host, but she never said (in the translations I've read so far) that it's instaneous. Perhaps Sakura can heal him in time, he'll live.

Hope Lee and Neji kick Atasuki butt in 262. :D

Its possible, but the Akatsuki already have Shukaku in their hands. She also did say that the jinchuuriki die when their bijou get removed, and I doubt the ichibi/Shukaku could revivie Gaara.

Ehh, we've never hid the spoilers very much. Anywho, Jinchuuriki means the power of human sacrifice, and though Chiyo did the Shukaku sealing, Gaara's mom Karura lost her life after he was born, either through the process or through killing herself. Which may mean another sacrifice will be needed for Shukaku to be resealed. I have a strong feeling she's going to lose her life. The two actual present Akatsuki will take on the Konoha ninja, while maybe she and Naruto extract Shukaku from the statute and get it resealed. I bet she's going to end up losing her life when she gets done.

If Gaara gets Shukaku back, I can imagine him going ape-***** on Deidara, possibly even killing him/her. Seeing Chiyo die may either swerve Sasori to their side (which would be a nice twist) or cause him to get really pissed, lose focus and get defeated. I wonder if Akatsuki will begin high-tailing it back to the cave if the Konoha ninja break in?

Well, I was expecting Kakashi to be helping Chiyo against Sasori, because of the whole his father killed Sasori's father bit, but it looks like he and Naruto are up against Deidara.

Sasori has killed 298 people for the sake of his art, really creepy guy here. Its also obvious how far away Naruto and Sakura are from being able to fight an Akatsuki member.

I'm hoping we at least get to see Team Gai fight their clones soon.
