I see Superman: Menace of Metallo (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00003ETNC/qid=1006836510/sr=1-11/ref=sr_1_79_11/102-2820131-8032117) is up for pre order at amazon.com. I haven't hear of this one before (well, I think I have, but only vaguely recall hearing about it). Is this one of the new DTV animated titles coming from WB?

You got me. I couldn't find anything about it. If it was an original animated movie we would have heard about it by now, so I'm assuming it's a collection of the four Metallo episodes (it could be a European collection being released here--they got three or four released collections that never were sold in America).

I don't really see myself buying it--I mean, I loved the first two Metallo episodes (The Way of All Flesh, Action Figures), but I hated--hated--the last two (Heavy Metal, Superman's Pal).

I guess we'll see.

Superman's Pal had some truly awful animation in it. I remember parts of it with Lois looking more anime style than Timm's style.

The DVD is a collection of some of the webisodes, but it has been stallened since September of last year and I think it's indefinatly postponed.

Bummer. Good thing I didn't pre order my copy yet. I felt something was not quite right with this title when I couldn't find info on it anywhere else.

The DVD was supposed to colect about 8 - 13 webisodes from the entertaindom.com website, but has been indefinatly postponed. The disc has been listed as "coming soon" since November 1999. As far as I've been told - it's not coming.

No idea. Go to www.entertaindom.com and see for yourself. The credits are likely there somewhere.
