View Full Version : Popular cartoons you can't stand?

What are the cartoons that top the ratings and you don't like? Here a few for me.
Scooby Doo- I don't HATE this show. (As long as Scrappy Doo isn't involved) Infact, I actually kinda like it, but I don't understand why it's such a huge hit. I mean, it's cute but is it really THAT great?
Mucha Lucha- I can't stand this show. I tried. I just don't like it.
Rugrats- I REALLY don't like this show and yet it's an icon of children's shows. Why? I think the animation is lame, it works too much on the gross factor, and it's just bad to me.
How about you?

Pokemon: I dont understand this show's popularity
KND: Yeah kill off all the adults, then who will feed, cloth, and provide a home for you when they are gone?
Any Tween show, then again i am not a tween.

I'll probably get my butt flamed off for this, but I never understood the popularity of SAMURAI JACK. I tried to watch it on several occasions, but was just bored out of my mind and thought to myself, "This is the great SAMURAI JACK everbody keeps going on about?"

Oh Lord, my own list...you got several yards of paper to spare? Seriously, I can't stand ANYTHING on Cartoon Network now, with the exception of Tom And Jerry or What's New, Scooby Doo. But to pick the utmost shows I overall, completely, totally, absolutely CAN'T STAND...how does one pick...well...I agree with everything said about Pokemon (the beginning of the end as far as good cartoons go) and Kids Next Door (THANK YOU for someone FINALLY agreeing with me!)
YU-Gi-OH: Nothing but Pokemon with cards, thank you. Help me someone, WHY is this popular?! I don't get it!
ED, EDD, AND EDDY: Dumb show, dumb stories, even more horible animation..need I say more?
MUCHA LUCHA: Broght to you by the WWE. THIS is supposed to be good animation, just cause it has spanish words? What. The. Hell.
TOTALLY SPIES: Liked this better the first time, when it was called CHARLIE'S ANGELS! And WHY is the BLONDE one the fashion conscious, boy-crazy, stupid one?!
BABY LOONEY TUNES: 'Muppet Babies' anyone?
STATIC SHOCK: ANOTHER superhero show? Been there, seen that..a million times..
CRAMP TWINS: Filthy, disgusting, gross, etc.
You get the idea, anything that's new and now on Cartoon network. Once they changed their format, they ruined a network I used to love so much! I mean, why couldn't they be fair and just divide the schedule in half or something and put the good stuff in the morning or something and if they MUST do this new, original crap, do it in the afternoon!!
But, sorry, don't mean to ramble, save it for another post.
But that;s my list, many, many moe, but I'll end it here..

The first two adjectives cannot be applied to describe a TV show and the last one is not correct.

Baby Looney Tunes: Lame this should have been created in the 80's
YU-GI-OH: This is worse than Pokemon, and Pokemon desecnt.
Tamon & Pumba: Once there was kid who made fun of Anime and thought this was better. Banned.
New Doug: You've ruined the Honkerburger.
HI-HI-Pumpy-Umi: I don't understand this.
Jimmy Nuetron: A rip-off from Speedy and Dexter's Lab
Super Duper Sumos: Save the world with big butts? I think not.
Trix commericals: Give the rabbit the Trix before he calls the terrorists.
I loathe Mucha Lucha. I have no clue why it's even on TV.

Rugrats:Annoying
Simpson:eek: :They were good at the beginning, but the new ones just ain't got enough of "laugh juice".
Hi Fi Puffi Ami Yumi:Too long of a title, done in the very common "flash animation" I think.
South Park:Lack of animation
Yu-Gi-Oh!:Come on,they're just playing with paper!
Baby Looney Tunes:They should've stuck with "Tiny Toons".
Trix Commercials:The rabbits dumb,in one he had a gold trophy and a gold medal and he wasn't happy?! They should give their mascot at least some Trix.
I really don't watch TV that much anymore due to the fact there really isn't anything on other than Foster's home for imaganary freinds, which I sort of like.I bet if I moved to Europe I'd find more to watch, but I don't really wan't to due to the fact I don't like moving and Europe has different laws than America.

I've always had a hard time enjoying Scooby Doo, it just never did anything for me. Oddly enough, I actually enjoyed the first few Scooby Doo DTVs, but when it comes to the television series, I just can't enjoy it. Maybe it's production value, but ol' Scooby never was a favorite of mine.
I've had a really hard time trying to get into th new TMNT toon. It's not bad, and I don't harbor any ill will toward it given my nostalgic love for the CBS series, but I feel really luke warm watching it. I really like most of the art direction, and the animation is consistantly very slick, but I just can't get myself to continue to tune into it.
Jimmy Neutron does nothing for me. Maybe it's the echoes of Dexter Lab that keep haunting me while I watch it, but I can't get myself to like anything in it, be it the writing or the animation.
Maybe I was spoiled by Beast Wars, but neither of the current Transformers series interest me. There's something missing when I hear Gary Chalk as Optimus and David Kaye as Megatron, particularly the latter of the two. Kaye's Megatron was just oozing with personality and endearing qualities, but there's something so lifeless about this Megatron.

Samurai Jack- Has great action, but has almost no story and character devolpment. It keeps going in a circle and never goes somewhere. It's like watching a dog chasing his tail.
Inu-Yasha- I don't hate the show, but I do think it's overrated and goes way too slow. The show itself has potional, but needs a quicker and more consent storyline and charcter devolpment.
Static Stock- Almost everything about the show is bad.

YU-Gi-OH: Nothing but Pokemon with cards, thank you. Help me someone, WHY is this popular?! I don't get it!
Slick, shrewd marketing, geared to fans of role-playing games (which, when you get down to it, is what Yu-Gi-Oh is as a card game).
ED, EDD, AND EDDY: Dumb show, dumb stories, even more horible animation..need I say more?
Well, at least it's better than Danny Antonacci's first series, Brothers Grunt. I'm not a fan of it, either.
MUCHA LUCHA: Broght to you by the WWE. THIS is supposed to be good animation, just cause it has spanish words? What. The. Hell.
WWE has nothing to do with it. If it did, they'd be doing their share of promoting it. Flash animation drives this show, and it probably does very well in the Latin demographic. It's OK.
TOTALLY SPIES: Liked this better the first time, when it was called CHARLIE'S ANGELS! And WHY is the BLONDE one the fashion conscious, boy-crazy, stupid one?!
I'm not that big on this, either. Didn't like it when it aired on Fam (when it was Fox Family), but it has its audience. As for the blonde (Clover?)? Uh, stereotyping, anyone?
BABY LOONEY TUNES: 'Muppet Babies' anyone?
The well ran dry on ripping off Muppet Babies long ago. WB was banking on fans of Bugs, Daffy, et al being curious about their "formative years", but it didn't work.
STATIC SHOCK: ANOTHER superhero show? Been there, seen that..a million times..
Ah, but again you're dealing with a series that is tailored to more than one demographic group (African-Americans, comics geeks). They've done the crossover with Justice League, but they also had Shaquille O'Neal appear on the show.
CRAMP TWINS: Filthy, disgusting, gross, etc.
And it's a British import, produced in part by CN's European arm. Go figure.
You get the idea, anything that's new and now on Cartoon network. Once they changed their format, they ruined a network I used to love so much! I have a problem with:
Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Animated colorforms do nothing for me.
Sealab 2021. They took the designs from the original Sealab 2020 (1972), then threw the rulebook out the window, playing the original series for laughs. I wasn't amused.

Yu-Gi-Oh- This show annoys the crap out of me. How can this guy not lose like ever? Reminds me of Ash in Pokemon when he doesn't really lose ever but when he does he always wins the rematch.
Static Shock-Do I really need a reason?
Mucha Lucha- Don't like this show at all.
Johnny Cakes
01-23-2005, 10:50 PM
Spongebob-Although it has made me laugh a few times, most of the time this show is annoying at best.
Hi Hi Puffi Ami Umi- A boring show about a bad pop band. Pop music is disgusting.
Rugrats- Also very annoying.
Atomic Betty-This show is just boring.
Totally Spies-Pretty much what everyone else said.
Code Lyoko- I can't stand that dorky computer world premise, and the CG portions annoy me.
That's all I can think of for now.

Catdog
I don't think "CatDog" is that popular anymore (except in the mind of Waggytoon of course:p ).
Here's my list:
Rugrats
Ren and Stimpy
Beavis and Butthead
Timon and Pumbaa
Scooby Doo
Recess
HiHi Puffy AmiYumi: This reminds me of the 60's Beatles cartoon. And that is not a good thing.
Gundam SEED: ... There, I said it.
Powerpuff Girls: It *used* to be good, then it got really crappy. XP
Drawn Together: Sorry, but gross-out humor does NOT a funny show make.
Family Guy: It has it's moments, but it's horribly overrated.
Looney Tunes: Particuarlly the really early ones before Bugs Bunny.
The Simpsons: =/
Invader Zim: I KNOW I'll get bricked, but not only is it overrated; it has one of the most insipid fanbases known to man.
Sealab 2021: It USED to be funny. Then it relied on gross-out humor way too much (maybe moreso than Drawn Together... if that's even possible), and after Harry Goz died it ceased to be funny. Yeah... after s1 and Goz's death, the show just DIED. I normally don't wish for shows to be cancelled, but this one is in dire need of a mercy killing.

Rugrats and the Wild Thornberries. Rugrats go Wild made me sad. DX
Sealab 2021 is just painfully stupid, and I don't get the attraction of Spaceghost Coast to Coast.
Ren and Stimpy....I'm not much for gross-out humor....(except for South Park)..
Powerpuff Girls....The characters are all annoying...
Spongebob Squarepants....The title character's voice annoys me...
Drawn Together....I just don't think it's funny...
Aqua Teen Hunger Force...ditto...

Family Guy. The only redeeming things about this obnoxious "Simpsons"/"South Park" knockoff are Stewie and Brian. Otherwise, get the "Dip".
Recent Simpsons episodes: REcent as in "made in this decade".
Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Cardcaptors, etc. etc.: All mediocre 30-minute TV commercials.
Most of Adult Swim: not an Anime fan, so seeing hours on end of "Ultra Cyber Neo-Hoosier Techno-Ball-Force Z 2015 A.D." or whatever doesn't do squat for me.

01-23-2005, 11:55 PM
Yu-Gi-Oh!- Let's hear it for the show that has every episode end in one of two "cliffhangers":
A) Someone says "Now that I have defeated your (insert card monster here), and sent you life points down to (insert number lower that 1000 here), I will destroy you!"
B) Someone says "Let's finish this duel now!"
Mucha Lucha- Any show with Mexican stereotypes immediatley makes me fumble for the remote.
Super Duper Sumos- I want to cry.

SpongeBob's voice is annoying!
The jokes aren't funny!
Mucha Lucha
Every single character is a wrestler?! That's so stupid!
Pet Alien
The humans' stupidity is waaay over the top! At least Invader Zim wore a disguise!
The Wild Thornberrys
The stories are rubbish!
Eliza talks to animals the wrong way! Animals talk to eachother using telepathy!
Ed, Edd n Eddy
It's not the slightest bit funny!
Disney's The Legend of Tarzan

Ed, Edd, and Eddy. It MAY have great animation. It MAY be very funny. I'll never know because the voices are like nails screeching down a chalkboard and make the show unwatchable.
Pokemon. Annoying voices? Check. Crappy animation? Check. And am I the only one who has NO clue what is going on when I watch this? The show's plots make no sense.
Rugrats is the most boring cartoon on the face of the planet.
And I like Family Guy sometimes but it is the most overrated show in cartoon history.
And since when are Kids Next Door and Mucha Lucha popular? They really don't qualify for this thread.

Okay, here is a few I can sort of stand for like 10.mins
Scooby-Doo:Re-used cels.
Pokemon:On the new episodes the plot is pretty much the same,Team Rocket tries something bad and then they get shocked by Pikacu for it,sometime he has help though but that dosen't make it any less boring.
Newer Spongbobs:I can not stand the faces he makes sometimes!
Ashleigh

Fairly Oddparents- I've never understood its appeal. It has some of the crappiest animation I've ever seen, a whiny, unlikeable lead character, and a bunch of jackasses who basically torture the kid. Where's the comedy?
Kids Next Door:I'd like to see these kids get their bratty butts whipped by their obviously oblivious parents.
Most anime shows- I find the majority of them to be incredibly boring.

To all who dislike Rugrats: The early eps. (1991-1995) were gold, at least IMHO.
Anyway, popular shows I dislike:
The newer Simpsons: Why people at NoHomers.net and PEEL.com still praise this show is beyond me. The stories aren't as complex as they used to be.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Some eps. are good (All the eps. with MC Pee Pants and "Total Re-Carl" were pretty funny), but this show just gets darker every season.
King of the Hill: Never found this show more than a little interesting.
I initially didn't like Teacher's pet and C:KND, but they grew on me.

Let's see...
Just about any cartoon on Nickelodeon.
Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh
Sealab 2021... just hasn't been the same since Captain Murphy's VA died... they should have ended the series then.
Teen Titans - An entire series composed of sidekicks... one of the most out of date and annoying concepts in comic books. Trying really hard to be an anime and falling on its face. And the most annoying theme song ever.
Recess and all the other Nickelodeon knock-off shows created by Disney/Buena Vista during Dean Valentine's reign of terror there.
Any post Beast Wars Transformers series - Loved G1, BW was a TF cartoon that treated it's audience like adults... every thing after was garbage.
Dragonball Z - Please, don't make me go there.
Almost anything by Hanna Barbera.
chris3116
01-24-2005, 02:06 PM
Spongebob Squarepants
Beyblade (I never understand why some spirits are trapped in the beyblades and increase their performances but watch the series finale, it's so weird)
Pokemon (I liked the Indigo Arc but now it's pure garbage)
Scooby Doo
Rugrats (YTV and Nickelodeon should cancel it, if it's not done)
Any Canadian Cartoons on Teletoon like Potatoes and Dragons. I only support What's with Andy. STUPID CRTC.
Any Disney Cartoons since Tarzan before it was great.
I'll probably get my butt flamed off for this, but I never understood the popularity of SAMURAI JACK. I tried to watch it on several occasions, but was just bored out of my mind and thought to myself, "This is the great SAMURAI JACK everbody keeps going on about?" I don't really understand why it's popular either. That kind of animation is fine for comedy oriented shows but not for one that has so much action. I just can't take it seriously.
Also Dragonball Z, eventually. I used to really like it, but after Goku reaches the first Super Saiyan and beats Freiza, all the plots after that just seemed the same. Yea, I would have to agree. It really should have ended with Goku beating Freiza and never coming back. DBZ is actually one of my favorite shows.....but I don't like anything after the Freiza saga. It just gets crazy after that.
As for other shows:
Scooby Doo (Probably one of the most overrated cartoon characters of all time. He has no personality...and yet he's so popular)
The Simpsons (It used to be great, but now it's just awful.)
Rugrats (I actually used to kind of like this show when I was younger, but then again I also used to like Power Rangers. This show probably has the worst music I've ever heard in my life.)
The Batman (Horrible character designs...lame stories....bad dialogue...I've only seen about two episodes, and I don't think I'll go out of my way to see anymore.)
There are probably a LOT more, but I generally don't watch things that I don't like so nothing else is really coming to mind.
ED, EDD, AND EDDY: Dumb show, dumb stories, even more horible animation..need I say more?
Really? I was under the impression Ed, Edd n Eddy has fantastic animation.
Teen Titans - An entire series composed of sidekicks... one of the most out of date and annoying concepts in comic books. Trying really hard to be an anime and falling on its face. And the most annoying theme song ever.
I can understand if you don't like the show (I myself love it) but Teen Titans does not "try to be anime."

It's kinda funny how the same shows keep popping up.
Ren & Stimpy - Though I can appreciate the impact it had, I never found the show good (even as a kid; now even moreso)
Hanna Barbera (60s/70s) - Though there's a nostalgia factor and the occasional decent show, for the most part all of their stuff was bad. Scooby Doo is pretty much the symbol for this
FMA - I think I'm the only one 'round here who hasn't gotten into this show.
I agree on Scooby Doo.
This show seems to be extremely popular because how the people at the Disney board defend it, but here goes: Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers.
About Pokemon: I can understand why people don't like this show, I mean it's repetitive, even fans agree on that. But the animation is not crappy. Just because it's limited doesn't mean it's bad. Most scenes look fine to me.
About Ed, Edd & Eddy: Honestly, I don't know why this show is hated so much, the animation is outstanding, the humor is funny, the writing is good (just because the plots are simplistic and formulaic doesn't mean the writing is bad.)
About Super Duper Sumos: I hate this one too, but you gotta admit it was never popular to begin with.

Most of Adult Swim: not an Anime fan, so seeing hours on end of "Ultra Cyber Neo-Hoosier Techno-Ball-Force Z 2015 A.D." or whatever doesn't do squat for me. Therefore proving you haven't been watching much AS as of late.
As far as shows go, I try not to watch anything that I might not care about (making life easier in the process). However, several episodes of post-Harry Goz Sealab 2021 I find almost unbearable.
And for Ed, Edd and Eddy, I think some people are confusing animation with visual style. E,E & E may move well (and probably osn't too shabby in the humor department either), but it's the look of the show that probably turns off a lot of folks (so many complaints about how "ugly" it is).
FMA - I think I'm the only one 'round here who hasn't gotten into this show.Fullmetal is ONE word and you shall recognize it as such. ;)

FMA - I think I'm the only one 'round here who hasn't gotten into this show. You're not the only one. Maybe it's because I only saw the first episode and skipped about seven afterwards, but then again, I did the same with GITS and picked back up with episode 4 and I never miss it. I can see why FMA is great, but it hasn't clicked. Ever.
By the way, I never liked Angry Beavers. It was funny just for a little while, then it began to insult my intelligence.

Cra(m)p Twins: Why the hell did Cartoon Network UK see any scene in this load of [man's genitalia]? It's Crap, it's boring, it always seems to be shown infrount of a realy good show for some reasion making it more boring.

Ed Edd and Eddy: More like, [S-bomb], [S-bomb]iy, [S-bomb]ier. So inane it hurts the head worse than an Evangelion Marathon, at least Evangelion doesn't look like cat puke.
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: Anyone who thinks Sonic-X is bad at protraying the Blue bomber should take a load of this. Nothing on SatAM, nothing, Dito Sonic Undergroundtoo and speaking of Blue Bombers
Megaman NT Warrior: You know when they mess around with a title (Probably cause "Megaman Battle network" couldn't be sung in a crappy title as the only lyric. That the'res going to be hell to pay and Hell we did pay.
B.W.H.
01-24-2005, 06:09 PM
I'm going to pay dearly for this but ... Gargoyles. This show was just so unintertesting, so convulted, and now looking back at the show's animation bleh.
Spider-Man [the 90's series]- Absoultley one of the most poorly produced American cartoons of not only the 90's but perhaps in the entire history of television animation, seriously this show's got it all, glitchy animation, an impossible to follow continuity, and terrible reused CGI backgrounds.
Digimon Dubs 1,2,3,4- Unfunny, childish baby humor that makes you to rip your ears off.

Goof Troop- I can see why people are fond of it, and I ain't dissin fans, but I find this show dull...
Anything Scooby that isn't Zombie Island, Witch's Ghost, or 13 Ghosts: Just can't find it entertaining. The series described above however, rocked.
I liked "A Goofy Movie", but not Goof Troop because it was so annoying!
For Scooby I liked:
Zombie Island-it was a good movie with cool music.
Witch's Ghost- Besides being a good movie with good music. It defended Wicca and stated it as it really is, a nature based religion (not evil, devil worshipping crap that the rest of the media likes to portray it as *cough cough-BUFFY-cough cough*). Because of that, Scooby Doo won a lot of respect from me!:)
I think SpongeBob is okay (can't say I hate it because I used to like it, and have to agree that it's funny at times).
Disney's Doug- RUINED Doug when they got thier claws on it! It's not the same show Nick gave us.
Hey Arnold-got boring fast!
Lots of Nick toons bug me to be honest...

For me it's Drawn Together. I was lookinf forward to it, but when I finally saw it, I thought it was the most annoying predictable piece of crap I've ever seen.
If I wanted to watch an animated porno with crude sex jokes and unfunny characters, then I would've watched....something else.

Have you SEEN Buffy? I think Buffy is pretty respectful of Wicca seeing as one of the main protagonists practices it. Sure they added a magical element to it but what fictional portrayel doesn't? I'd hardly call magic evil and devil-worshipping.

Yugioh: It's so repetitive. Yugi battles. Yugi's at the point of losing. Yugi wins. And there is much rejoice. Can't they settle down to a nice game of solitare, or somethin'?
Pokemon (recent): It's the same old Pokemon eps repeating themselves, only these suck.
Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi: The series is so cliche, and it's so obvious they're desperate to get this show popular. And the colors are too funky for me.

Therefore proving you haven't been watching much AS as of late.
Actually, I don't have cable, so no AS/Cartoon Network viewing since last summer (when it felt like half of what was on it was anime shows... or maybe that I only watched/got into ATHF, (shrug)).
Anyway, other disliked-by-me popular shows:
Recess: The argument in favor of home schooling. ;-)
Tom and Jerry: Never cared much for Jerry, and particularly Spike (though he was OK in his solo cartoons with Tyke).
Kids Next Door: Felt like just another "kids rule, adults drool" type show (see "Recess") to me.
-B.
You know what? I never liked Reboot. I don't see what anyone ever saw in that show.
Here's a couple more from me:
Full Metal Alchemist: I only watch the show for Al. The rest I could care less about.
Zoids: *yawn zzz snore* ... Huh, wha?
South Park: Mostly in regards to the newer episodes. At least it's ending soon.

Pokemon: I dont understand this show's popularity
KND: Yeah kill off all the adults, then who will feed, cloth, and provide a home for you when they are gone?
Any Tween show, then again i am not a tween. No, you missed the point. It's not KILLING adults. It's making sure kids get proper justice. Have you even WATCHED the show? The adults arn't all that noble either. There was one where a boss of Number four's father tried to send all kids to the moon so their parents would have no reason to stop working. And there are quite a few adults in that show that are pure evil. I do agree with you to a point though. The show should introduce adults that ARN'T trying to make life miserable for kids.
Another thing I can't stand is Beyblade. I mean, say what you will about Yu-Gi-Oh, at least the game THAT show promotes has kids thinking and using strategy. All Beyblade is is a show about kids with tops that smack into each other and THIS is popular? WTF?
I don't think KND is a bad show, but I do have a serious problem with it. I don't understand what is the show trying to accomplish. I don't see its point, nor its purpose. That makes the show sometimes hard to sit through.
The show's OK in terms of writing. I like the layouts and backgrounds, but the animation needs to be worked on.
The characters... well... it depends, Numbuh 2 and Numbuh 4 are funny characters, the others range from good to mediocre. But the only character that gets in my nerves is Numbuh 5.
I will give KND credit for having (or at least trying to have) actual continuity, something that most Cartoon Cartoons don't do.
Or maybe I'm just saying this because the spanish dub makes the show 10 times funnier...

I don't mean to be rude, but when did a cartoon need to have a purpose or need to accomplush something? I mean, does Bugs Bunny have a purpose other than to be funny and entertaining? What about Tom and Jerry? Yeah, it's cool when some cartoons have a special meaning in tem sometimes, but the primal purose to accomplish in a cartoon is to entertain.

I agree. The kids fight EVIL ADULTS, not the good ones like their parents. I have had bad adults in my life like those villains, I felt the same way about teens and adults as the Kids Next Door when I was a child, but did I NEVER hurt my parents. It's JUST a cartoon.
Anyway...
Power Puff Girls- I never truly got into it. It just never impressed me.
Ed, Edd, and Eddy- I have nothing against the show, but they've been showing this cartoon WAY too much on CN lately.
Atomic Betty- Extremely cliched, and the mom's a jerk.
Ren and Stimpy- Too gross.
Cow and Chicken- Once again, too gross.

Witch Hunter Robin - Pretentious goth anime that's too dark and slow moving for it's own good.
Wolf's Rain - Pretentious bishounen anime that just so happens to have various members of the Cowboy Bebop staff working on it.
Scooby-Doo - Got repititive and stale, Scrappy made it worse.
Courage the Cowardly Dog - Loved the "Chicken from Outer Space", but I was not too fond of the content of the show. That and Eustace was wholly unlikeable.
Digimon 02 - Unwarranted dialogue rewrites (especially insults to Daisuke), and the lack of any character development between the kids and their Digimon. Lame ending, as well as it was more fuel for the Digimon yaoi/yuri world.
Bonkers - I never really got into this. Just never have.
Megas XLR - Every right that is executed in every wrong way. Notable exceptions include the first few episodes and the Rearview Mirror parts.
Pokemon - I started losing interest in it after Brock left. Now standard fare. That and I don't like that Team Rocket always got the shaft.
Kids Next Door - Drowns in adult defiance too much (although adults were treated in a positive light in later seasons) and just not very interesting.
Teamo Supremo - The Powerpuff Girls minus the violence... or the wit... or the brains...
Samurai Jack - It didn't end... and had Genndy been able to get away from standards we could have seen some blood in some episodes or another.
Beast Machines - Lame sequel to Beast Wars. 180 character changes and fugly designs.
.hack//SIGN - Vibrant world, well-designed characters, interesting soundtrack and story. The only problem is that everybody is so damn melancholy and it's really hard for me to swallow a drama taking place in an MMORPG where there should be times where there can be action. At least .hack//LEGEND is much more vibrant in characters than this one.
Dragonball GT - Toei ruined the franchise on this one.
I'll think of more.

Ya'know, I agree with ya' on everyone of those... except for 'Megas XLR'.
Well, in 'Megas' case, they do go overboard everynow and then... almost to the point where you could make a drinking game out of it. (Several people did, actually) I just find it hillarious because well, I have a bizzare sense of humor. Could they have done certain things differently ('Space Booty') or have left well enough alone (S-Force SOS)? I suppose so, but oh well.
Digimon 02... hooboy, would my sister ever agree with you on THAT one. (Though she's one of the rare few who actually liked the ending) She's more of a 'Tamers' fan than anything... not to mention this series brough on some of the ugliest paring wars this side of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Gundam Wing.
I didn't mind 'Courage' for the most part, but that's another case of 'they should have left it alone' after the initial cartoon.
Speaking of which, one last one for me to add:
Battle of the Planets: Not G-Force, not Gatchaman and not even Eagle Riders; I'm talking about the 'one everyone loves'. Maybe it's because I grew up on G-Force, which was more violent than BotP, but when I had the chance to watch this series when it was on Boomerang... I HATED it. I was like: "Is this the show that everyone loves?" X_x; Sorry, but give me Ace, Dirk, Aggie, Hootie and Pee Wee over Mark, Joe, Princess, Tiny and Keyop any day.
Yu-Gi-Oh- This show annoys the crap out of me. How can this guy not lose like ever? Reminds me of Ash in Pokemon when he doesn't really lose ever but when he does he always wins the rematch. Yugi has his fair share of losses, and Ash gets his ass kicked about half the time.
Take pretty much every CURRENT cartoon on Nick (excluding: Teenage Robot, Fairly OddParents, Spongebob).
Take pretty much every current cartoon on Disney (excluding: Doug).
Take pretty much every current cartoon on Kids' WB (excluding: Pokemon. I do like Yu-Gi-Oh, but the dub does no justice).
Totally Spies (Too much valley girl speak, overuse of anime emoticons, bleh).
Sealab 2021.
Ren & Stimpy (I used to like it, but now I don't see what I saw in it).
On the anime side, InuYasha and Naruto. I like them both, but they're treated like the second comings of Jesus.
I forgot a couple shows
Cow and Chicken....really gross in both animation and humor, and not at all funny..
Sealab 2021....It's just not that funny...

Yes, I have seen Buffy and loved it. Have the entire series on DVD in fact:anime:! But how they handled Wicca bugged me, being a Wiccan myself. Willow was a witch, magical powers and such, yet she called herself a Wiccan. She's Jewish and doesn't state that Wicca is a religion. The show didn't treat is as a religion (until Tara showed up), they treated it as another word for witch (which it is, but you know what I mean).
Yes, they did make reference to Wicca as a religion in season 4 with the campus group...but that group wasn't a good visual of it either, that part was more like a joke (Willow acted like they were idiots because they weren't doing magic like her.).
The show got better with Wicca when Tara arrived, she treated Wicca as a religion and was very Wiccany herself. I was okay with it again.
Until Willow decided to become addicted to it, as if it were a drug... And then she went all evil and not-so-nice Wicca comments were made after that.
It just...bugged me. Don't get me wrong! I loved the show, but that's my pet peeve from it.

Some currently-aired toons I just can't stand:
1. Beavis and Butthead on MTV. Why'd they ever pick this awful thing up? Poorly drawn show about really hateful, stupid characters who keep doing disgusting things.
2. Sealab 2021 on AS. Lame, unfunny, and in its later episodes quite mean-spirited.
3. Static Shock on CN. A formulaic superhero show, utterly lacking in imagination.
4. Dragonball GT on Toonami. They took the concept over the top and ruined it with overkill. (^_*)

Rugrats- The show kinda went down for me between the first movie, and the second movie. The eariler seasons were pretty good in my opinion, but newer seasons kinda ruin the show for me.
The Cramp Twins- I seen a couple of episodes of the show. It was okay but I won't have habit of watching it.
Kikkader: Same as above.
Sealab 2021-I'm fan of the show of Seasons 1-3. But Season 4 almost killed the show for me. I'll give Season 5 chance, if it doesn't go back to the humor I like in Season 1-3. I probely give up on the show.

If you're gonna rip 'em, do it with style!
My 2 cents:
Yu-Gi-Oh: Somewhere, years ago, a bunch of Japanese animators pondered the question, "Is it possible to do an exciting, suspenseful, engaging anime that consists mostly of people throwing cards down on a table?" Judging from the result, the answer is obviously, "No." So weakly animated, at times it seems like your'e watching a slide show.
Family Guy: So calculatedly design to resemble The Simpsons, it makes me wonder why it didn't trigger a copyright-infringement lawsuit.
The Ren And Stimpy Adult Cartoon Show (the Spike-TV version): This is what happens when John Kricfalusi is let off his leash? Saliva jokes, vomit jokes, booger jokes, urine jokes, why do they call this an "Adult" cartoon when the humor is so juvenile?
Beyblade: It's Yu-Gi-Oh with tops. In the words of Stan Lee, "Nuff said".
Shark Tale: The mental image of Will Smith's character hooked, gutted, deboned, and broiled in lemon butter is the only thing that kept me from tearing out my eyeballs while sitting through this.
Rugrats, Wild Thornberries, Hey Arnold, Teacher's Pet, Cramp Twins: What, are you guys having a contest for the title of "Most God-Awful Ugliest Character Design Ever Drawn On A Cel"? If you are, then you're all winners.
Lucky Charms Commercials: "Oh no, those little juvenile delinquents are after me Lucky Charms...again! I know! I'll use magic to make an Uzi! Say hello to me little friend, ye thievin' wee @#$%&+!" Now that would get me to eat the cereal.

Heyyyyyy. I like Kids Next Door. I've only seen a couple episodes, but I think Numbuh One is hot. (This girl can't resist a British accent.)
And SuperSonicvs, you're kind of stupid, ain't ya? If humanity were to "self-destruct" you wouldn't HAVE any of your precious cartoons or video games. Also, what makes you think you'd avoid the cataclysm? You're a part of humanity. A childish, pathetic part of it, but a part of it all the same. It's losers like you that make me ashamed of admitting my love for cartoons to others, because GOD FORBID they mistake me for someone like YOU.
And, sorry guys. I'm partially responsible for adding hostility to the forums. :( It's just that....some people are really BEGGING to be told off, you know? Like this SuperSonicvs feeb. But I'm really a nice person, I swear.;)
This board is getting very unfriendly.:(That depends on what your definition of "is" is.
Sorry, had to. :anime:

Fixed.
Eh, I can't think of any shows that I hate. Just ones that haven't been up to usual game lately:
Simpsons (Insanely average)
Sealab 2021 (Crap most of the time but...)
Megas XLR (Only about three great episodes the entire season)
KND (Never really was, but I don't really bother anymore)

Hey, how about Captain Planet and The Planeteers? Indoctrination films for the Greenpeace Youth Corps. Preachier than a Promise Keepers rally, and more politically correct than a Howard Dean flash mob. This show's only redeeming feature is that it will surely be used as an exhibit for the prosecution in what is destined to known as "The People vs. Ted Turner".
Beavis and Butt-Head Do America: The only people who would go to see this film are ones that don't have the attention span to sit through it.
Hey Arnold: The Movie: Socialist agitprop disguised as children's entertainment. Kids band together to stop the evil venture capitalist whose shopping mall would bring jobs to the slum neighborhood in which they live. I guess trickle-down economics is too complex, too Ronald Reagan for the social engineers at Nickelodeon Studios. I've seen many cartoons where wealthy people were depicted as corrupt and dishonest, but this is the first cartoon I ever saw that tried to convince its viewers that there was something morally uplifting about living in abject poverty.
