So . . . who's read this?

Okay, I know it's not a comic book. There are no pictures! (and how can anyone read a book that hasn't got any pictures in it?) But it is about superheroes. And it most likely ushered in the era of the deconstructed superhero.

Anyway, my original purpose --> who knows it exists? Cuz it's coming back in print.

Reviews? Thoughts? Cronkite?

Howdy,

Yes to all of the above (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=104946&highlight=superfolks). OK, maybe I don't really have the Cronkite :).

It really is eye-opening to see how many people stole from Superfolks after finally reading it. It's even more surprising to see how well it holds up as a work by itself even AFTER having read a bunch of the stuff that stole from it.

I know About Comics reprinted this (http://www.aboutcomics.com/sfolks.html) recently in a limited print run, but I don't think they even sold the 2000 or so copies they printed. You can probably still get your Friendly Neighborhood Comic Shop to order it.

Get 'em quick before EVERYBODY knows about it...

It was a parody book, correct? I remember reading the first few chapters when I was a teenager. It was a little too blue for my tastes (I was a prude back then).
