With the Fox Box becoming 4Kids TV it apears it will replace Kids' WB.
This isn't a mere name change, it's a sign of things to come. The Fox Box contract runs out after next season. So 4Kids looks like they'll stay on Saturdays, but not on Fox. Another interesting thought is Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! have been predicted to air on Fox Box (Now 4Kids TV). Which means KWB is running even lower on legs to stand on. Ah, Kids' WB. The network that 4Kids made famous and hasn't done anything to become more sucessful. Signalling change on The WB Saturday mornings. Disney was the answer to Fox Kids, looks like Turner and 4Kids are eachothers answer. Yes 4Kids TV will be replacing Kids' WB. I didn't see it coming, but I've pondered and pondered. This is the answer. Plus CN would be backing the move, it is a new chance we all have to consider. The next 2002 is coming sooner than anticipated. So Kids WB is coming to a close, 4Kids TV is heating up, Disney will most likely put another bump in the road, and Fox is open ground. Saturday mornings are gonna be hectic.
Thoughts?

At this point, it's too early to tell whats going to come out of this announcement from 4Kids and the changing the face of Saturday morning animated programming.
Suggestion: Someone should move the 4Kids/FOX Box Debate over to general animated forum.

As fascinating as that paragraph was, "no."
The Fox Box hasn't aired on a Fox affiliate ever in some markets. It's been on the local UPN affiliate here in Chicago since it started airing. That's most of the reason that 4Kids is changing the name of the block. That, and to make sure their name is on the block.
As for Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, it won't be the core series airing on 4Kids TV. Pokémon Chronicles is the dub of the special episodes that have been airing in Japan for some time, and from what I understand, the Yu-Gi-Oh branded series that will start on the block is some manner of sequel series. Kids' WB!, which, I assure you, is NOT going anywhere, will still milk the core series, both new episodes and reruns, for all they're worth.
Good effort, though.

Thanks, I'm just trying to make sense of this mess! And j32885, it really is too early to tell. Good points, both of you.

There's no real "sense" to make; it's pretty much been spelled out.
FOX BOX, a block grown out of the lack of a FOX Kids on many affiliates (whether it be FOX, or The WB, or UPN) once Disney acquired Saban, is changing it's name to 4KidsTV to associate it with the company AND the realization that FOX is not the necessary home of the block.
Think beyond your local airing. I had Kids' WB on Saturdays, with Fox Kids on Sundays, all on my local WB36, for a few years. Figure that out.

I was mistaken on Poke and Yugi going to 4Kids, and I'm reconsidering my position on this. But 4Kids TV may not be Fox's Official Block (but it may air on some Fox's however) and KWB hasn't done much to get a new hit. I think a merging is in the air.

But 4Kids's block IS Fox's official block. The deal between 4Kids and Fox runs through August 2006. The name change might have a lot to do with the block being seen on non-Fox stations in many cities.

It going to be interesting [and maybe sad] to see what will happen if Fox and 4Kids don't agree to a new contract at the end of August 2006. With top shows Sonic X and Shaman King ending, TMNT underachieving big time, and One Piece's dub hype getting blown in their faces, maybe 4kids will want to start their own TV network. And since most Fox networks don't give a damn abhout cartoons anymore like NBC,CBS, AND usa nEWTORK/sCI-fI cHANNEL to get cable on you, August 2006 may be the last time you see cartoons on a Fox network ever with the exception of primetime shows.

this is sad, although for 2 years now i have yet to watch any saturday morning cartoons due to work and college, its sad how Saturday Morning cartoons are beginning to die. Back in the mid 80s to late 90s was the golden years of Saturday Morning Cartoon Animation, now it sounds like its dieing. All we have to remind us the good times is now Cartoon Network, however, most of their good programming is dieing with cheap animation. Sad enough i believe Animation will not be like it use to be.
