Hi Guys,
With all of the vast characters that Marvel has at its disposal, I'm amazed that they haven't maximized their potential of having them fully animated like they do in Japan. I had a cool idea for an exclusive X-Men series that would be geared towards the Japanese Market in the same genre as Gundam Seed and Cowboy Bebop.
The main characters for the new X-Men Japan series are as follows:
1. Sunfire
2. Silver Samuri
3. Lady Deathstrike
4. Psylocke
6. Karma
Would anyone support this show if the story was at the same level of excellence as the Justice League and the animation was at the caliber as Cowboy Bebop?
Cool show, no?

I see that working out very well.

But... why?
Of those 6 characters, 2 are villains, and 1 was only ever an X-Man for the briefest of time.
Gundam SEED is a giant robot future war story. Cowboy Bebop is future sci-fi/noir. Two different "genres", as you put it.
There's a number of other things that make no sense about your "proposal", but I have a feeling pointing them out would have no effect...

With regards to Gundam Seed and Cowboy Bebop, I was refering to the Japanese animation style that could be incorporated into the series. And yes, Silver Samuri and Lady Deathstrike were villians in the comic book. Heck, if Magneto can be made into a good guy every now and then, then why not these characters? And besides, we're taking about an exclusive market where the japanese could relate to these characters. I don't put too much emphasis on the comic book version, for which the characters are rarely used. This is entirely different situation in a another time, another place. But that is my outlook on this version. And I stand by this decision.

the characters used, would be a good idea, you could even incorporate Jubilee in there as shes asian, for japanese fans a good idea, but personally i am not a big fan of anime, so i woudnt be too keen on the idea, but for japan, yeh it would

I think it would a good idea, but why just use asian characters? The Japanese could still like and relate any of the X-men. Look at Trigun, Slayers, Outlaw Star and One Piece, these have ever western influences and/or western people and are very well liked.

I remember when xmen went into syndication, they used to show a little mini action scene during the end credits. It was all in anime and it was great. Because of that, I actually thought there was an xmen anime out there.

I believe for an X-Men anime to cater to the Japanese market, they should just stick to the usual roster.

The X-Men Anime could be extended to as many as 400-500 episodes over a 6-7 year period. This could be done as a 50-episode per season(1 new episode a week, and no re-runs) that could showcase a different X-Men team in an alternate universe like the Gundam Series. This way, everybody gets a chance to see their favorite characters in a different light than they are portrayed in the comic book version.
For example, imagine seeing the X-Men of 1975 characters in a 50-episode adventures with the following team members for Season 2:
1. Thunderbird
2. Storm
3. Wolverine
4. Cyclops
5. Nightcrawer
6. Colossus
7. Banshee
8. Phoenix
It would be quite interesting to see the 1975-1981 X-Men Team come to life that would be completely different from the comic book of which Thunderbird dies in the second mission.

Was there a xmen anime that came out in the 90`s by capcom?

Given that Capcom is a video game publisher, not an animation studio or distributor, no.

There was also a second anime intro made for X-Men TAS, which was evn cooler then the first one. I should lso mention that the music for both of the anime intros was completely different (and much better) then the original American intro music. OMT, I know all of this because I have a copy of both uncut anime intros of X-Men TAS on tape.

Well, I don't see the Thunderbird character as a one having much potential, but maybe just because he was there for such a short time... His alternative version from Exiles WAS interesting. Pity they removed him from the scene so soon.

Where and how did you get them? And what the other intro like?I got both of the inyro's over 5 years ago at a comic convention.
The 2nd intro showed the X-Men fighting Apocalypse,Magneto,,the Nasty Boys,Sabretooth, Spiral, the Phalanx, and the Sentinels. Iceman also appeared in the trailor (he froze a Sentinel).

I really dislike when people try to turn American/Canadian/Whatever shows and comics into anime, and vice-verca whenever it comes up. The style will not transfer at all between cultures and most people will groan when Wolverine is standing around explaining his attack instead of slashing it up.

I remember when X-Men was syndicated they used new closing credits animated in the style of anime. I can never find good screengrabs of those ending credits. I'd like to see what they look like. I remember there was quite a stir among the X-fan community when those new end credits hit.

They should put those intro on the x-men DVD`s.
Those new closing scenes on x-men looked really good. I'd like to see them without the credits in the way.
Turning a perfectly good series into an anime would be terrible. They recently did that for Ninja Turtles (the one thats only aired in Japan) and you should see how terrible it is. They messed up with the story so much...
