I was wondering if anyone with information on Johnny Bravo knows the status of the show. Is the series discontinued permanently, or is it taking a long hiatus? I don't think it's airing in the United States right now. The only thing I've heard was that a live-actioned movie based on the series is supposed to be out soon.

Well put it this way...the movie is "supposed" to come out. Check out the Internet Movie Database's website for the Johnny Bravo movie... http://imdb.com/title/tt0406890/
My assumption is that since the film is posted as in-production, that Van Partible is working on that right now. Usually a network tries to get new episodes of a show to push the movie, but its unknown if there is another season coming out. My best guess would be that the show is on hiatus until the film is done. If the film does well, expect more episodes. If the film bombs, expect less.

Since that page hasn't been updated since last April, I'm under the impression that this particular movie will fall to the same fate as the live action Samurai Jack movie. Prepped to be made, but likely won't ever be.

I think you're right. I just noticed the date on there. Oh well, consider Johnny done with. Unless they can somehow make another special. Honestly, I think the "Johnny Goes to Hollwood" cartoon was supposed to be released the same time as the movie was, but it got ditched.

It looks like we're gonna have to wait for any additional updates. I had to ask about Johnny because I've heard nothing new about the series as of late, and the fact that CN removed the show off its lineup for now.

On hiatus = cancelled
If they would rather buy AB, then get new episodes of this great show, then yeah its cancelled.
Its been cancelled twice, renewed twice. With this show, never count it out.
