I don't go to scary movies anymore. All my life I've seen scary movies that made you think they were scary like Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th, but they were always worse if you closed your eyes and let your imagination ravage you.

Then I learned just to keep watching and found that it was more entertaining that scary.

But now... now with movies like Blair Witch Project, it's like they have your eyes closed to have your imagination ravage you whether you close your eyes or not. The Ring gave me nightmares and so did The Grudge. With technology, they're now actually able to match and exceed my imagination.

While it's a good thing.. I've sworn off scary movies now.

What's eveyone else think? Do you like scary movies and actually being scared?

I'm not a big fan of scary movies because I know the creatures are not real unless it was based on a true story but even then they tend to stretch the truth. Overall, I don't like being scared but when I am it's not from a movie.

I want a movie that will scare my pants off. I'll regret it for the next month cause I'll have trouble sleeping, like the Grudge. I never want to look under my covers again...

I can't wait to see the Ring 2. The first one wasn't really that scary. 2 looks really freaky.

Now that the bad videogame movie genre has crossbred with the horror movie genre the results are just horrifying.

I love scary movies. It's my favorite genre really. There are only a few movies that are ever really frightening. At least one a year. I always wait for those one's that really make a name for themselves even years after. Sixth Sense wasn't scary but good. The Ring was one of the best and unforgettable. As was The Grudge. I think Ring 2 will do very good so I can't wait.
