Has anyone noticed that on the bumprer that airs right after FMA they use a techno version of the Siamese Cat Song from Lady and the Tramp?

I just saw a card saying that they have changed the rules for the "Have it your way" promotion. They said that now they can show ANY show that airs on AS. They must have gotten a lot of flack from the anime fans for not including them in the original promotion. I am for one glad that they changed the stipulations.

is it me or does SMC get way more promos then FMA/GitS/WR/WHR/etc?

is it me or does SMC get way more promos then FMA/GitS/WR/WHR/etc?SMC has probably gotten the most promotion out of every AS show, cause its doing so badly.
And there's the ratings. Family Guy got over 800,000? Ironic that it was the week before Venture Bros. took its place.

ratings are not overrated
Sunday, January 9th
Family Guy - 809,000
ATHF - 532,000
Birdman - 436,000
FG's second 800,000+!
Well, looks like things are back to normal ratings-wise.

Sweet sweet nectar!!! Man I can't wait for the Birdman DVD. I hope that VB is able to get atleast some of the numbers that FG has been raking in.

Futurama - 572,000

Well looks like an odd week of ratings.. Nice to see Birdman in the top 3 for Sunday and at least VB stayed above 400k+. Hopefully it'll be well recieved by the Sunday audience.

I think it's been a while since the top 3 HASN'T been an ATHF-Birdman-FG trio win.

What's up with FMA's ratings? They were in the 550-450k range for like the first 5 episodes but they've been down every since coming back from the break. I guess Action will always have mediocre numbers.

Yeah that does stink those numbers down, but I'm going to keep my hopes high. Especially if we want FMA to have more episodes broadcasted on TV. That goes same for Ghost in the Shell. I want to see another show besides InuYasha have more episodes, because Lupin and currently Case Closed, won't be. :(

The first two weekends of 2005, there was a football game on television Saturday night (a college bowl game on New Year's Day, an NFL Wildcard game on Jan. 8) which could have affected the ratings of the Saturday night programing (especially the Jan. 8 football game, which was on until way past midnight).
The best way to see if there's really a drop in FMA's ratings is to check the ratings report next week, as I highly doubt the NFC playoff game that was played this past Saturday will affect AS's ratings (due to it ending around 11PM).
1. I feel like putting together a list of Tom Goes to the Mayor hate-quotes from AS.com to balance the fanquotes out.
2. FMA's equivalent exchange= dried up ads= drying up ratings.

Was the SMC Comedy minute promo a new thing? You have to admit, cutting SMC down to one minute bits featuring the President is a great idea. :D

Was the SMC Comedy minute promo a new thing? You have to admit, cutting SMC down to one minute bits featuring the President is a great idea. :D Its also false advertisment...since they're essentially cutting out the ONLY funny parts of the show and showing them in the promos. Creating the illusion that it could be a good show.
On second thought...they're doing me a favor. I can just watch the promos and don't even have to bother with the series now. Hmm...

those started last week and they are worse then the already bad visual vocab ones but lets not think about lame things when one of the best season 1 Big O episodes is on :)

All that Photoshop/Illustrator/After Effects prep work. I'm digging the new logos

So far no one has translated the Japanese that appears throughout them.
And this little guy is cute.

On the subject of bumps, when I saw that card for the GitS special disclaimer it felt weird. Most of AS's cards are humorous or unusual in some way and I'm used to that, but that card was just dead serious.

I find a random lumberjack trying to chop the head off a giant teddy bear hilarious, but that's just me.

In other words if left unchecked he could go Waggytoon on all of us...

It's interesting that GitS hasn't made the Top 3 once yet, but AS went ahead and bought the 2nd GIG episodes anyway. Which means the performance of GitS, and probably also FMA, has met or exceeded expectations. Contrast this with Case Closed, which had to have been a disappointment since AS won't be running any more new episodes.
And as always, Saturday ratings are erratic as all hell and probably always will be. (^_*)

They work on a crazy japanese media stereotype kind of level. I atleast think they're a lot better then running a bunch of filters over video from japan and tacking the name on of the show on the bump (::cough::witchhunterrobin).
Then again...I think some of the visual vocab bumps look rather nice as well...

This is the reason why I could less about ratings geez guys no need to get all mopey cause the ratings are down. Action ratings cant beat Comedy ratings all the time. And even if it did what would possibly happen?
