I don't know about you guys, but I think it's high time Marvel came out with a new series. I'm really getting tired of X-men, Spiderman, and the Hulk though. If they are gonna do them, they need more epic storylines and crossovers.

agreed-- but-- with all the hyper-marketing concerns, would that even be an 'option' nowadays to bring out a non-"franchise" character to a new series..
i would support it, but would network execs buy it if it isn't based on a movie that's coming out?
sigh...
I hope the ULTIMATES dvd does very well, so that will help greenlight other alternative marvel characters more quickly...

A Fantastic 4 serise would be awsome but it probably wont happen. Yeah Hulk, Spiderman and X-Men are getting kind of old.

Actually, thanks to the FF movie coming out this summer, there is an animated FF cartoon in the works that's coming out later this yr or sometime in 06. I read it somewhere, but can't recall where at the moment. If anyone else can back me on this info, I'd appreciate it.

it would be cool if they did come out with something new
im not really getting tired of the old series but a new group or solo character would be good, when was the last time they released something completely new, even a new team of storyline in the xmen world or something

And what about Daredevil? Or Punisher? Or even Blade? Sure-shot franchises...
Apparently the direct to video Ultimates isn't due out until '06 sometime.
Doesn't Marvel animated have anything coming before then? DC has so much animated property on TV right now, Marvel just can't seem to get their act together.

It's kind of weird when you compare the two:
Marvel's got hit film franchises that are still are still going strong, while DC's movies (Well... Catwoman) are just big piles of s...urely bad cinema.
Meanwhile, DC's animated t.v. properties are going strong, while Marvel's (Mtv's Spider-Man, X-Men EVO) all went out with a whimper.

Apparently the MTV Spider-Man cartoon is going to have a second season but there doesn't seem to be anymore info than that. I was also disappointed to see X-Men: Evolution end so quietly. Sure the series ended great but there was so little press about it mainly becuase WB kept the official word of cancellation quiet as long as they could.

yeh that annoys me how X-Evo was keeping fans waiting by saying yeh there might be another season but your just gonna have to wait, by the time people had forgot about it, they decided to tell people it has been cancelled, there wasnt even an official announcment
id love to come up with a new series for marvel, im a pretty good artist using my style, all i would need are some writers and inkers lol
Ever since I started reading it,I've thought Runaways(Marvel comics' series about a group of teenagers who find out their parents are supervillains) would make a good animated series...I don't know if there's enough material for a series yet, though(I've only seen two grapic novels out so far,and I haven't seen the individual issues for awhile)...

Runaways would even make a good WB-type live-action show if they really wanted to give it a try. It would make for a good cartoon. The characters are relatable and the idea is excellent. And they got a dinosaur as well. I'm sure they'd fit the "needs cute sidekick" demand networks always seem to want.
