Who likes Adult Swim better and why?
I used to like South Park until this year. I think it finally got too old and they pushed the envelope and went over the edge.
I do have to admit that their recent Taliban episode was classic.
Can Adult Swim compete with Mr. Hankey? Stay tuned!

I don't think you can compare one show to an entire line-up of shows. However, I'd prefer AS's line up over South Park anyday. Nothing said it best...smart humor will prevail.

I don't know. South Park has more shock value for me, but sometimes doesn't keep me there mentally. Adult Swim is a variety of things...Home Movie's audio track is some riotious phone conversation, Space Ghost, Brak, and Aqua Teens are like this insane humor, and Cowboy Bebop is a little bit of action/drama.
I still like South Park, but its unfair to compare one show to a whole handful of shows. Besides, I hear next season SP will have even less episodes...as one adult animation titan falls, a new one arises, funny huh?

How can you say that South Park isn't smart humor? It's one of the smartest shows written today.
And when did it "go over the edge," exactly?

Admittedly, I didn't care for a couple of them--namely the Marklar ep and the Iceman ep--but things like "Sex Ed" and the Afganistan ep more than make up for the ocassional clunker. (Osama's shuffling Egghead/Joe Penner-esque walk got me.)

Well, I can't exactly speak for how Nothing meant the term, but the way I see South Park isn't that the writing isn't intelligent, it's style is just different. I guess when I was thinking of "smart" humor, I was thinking of Home Movies and Space Ghost Coast to Coast and shows like that the humor seems to require a more refined taste of humor. I am not putting down South Park fans, nor fans of crude humor (cuz I like crude humor too!), but the style of comedy in South Park is decidedly different than what we see on Adult Swim.

Well they did say the "S" word 162 times (or so) on their first episode this year. Did you see one of the latest episodes with Mr. Garrison inventing the "It" gyroscope and how it works? LMAO!
Don't get me wrong, I still love them and can't wait to see if they put out a new Christmas special this year. I miss the little nuggets and "The Cycle Of Poo".
Rock on Trey and Matt!
How about Baseketball 2 now? Or Orgazmo 2? Or Bigger, Longer, & Uncut 2? LOL

But both of those episodes used those scenerios to prove a point about 1) censorship and 2) how bad the airlines are. I've always loved that every South Park episode has a moral lesson--it's always against the grain (meaning anti-PC)--and a different way of looking at a situation. There's been a deeper meaning behind the fart jokes since episode #1.
And I'm not bashing Adult Swim, but what's so "highbrow" about it? I like Space Ghost: Coast to Coast (especially the early ones written by Evan Dorkin and Sarah Dyer, :D ), but is a "refined sense of humor" necessary to get the jokes?

I guess it's how you define refined. I don't see it as necessarily highbrow, it's just not everybody's cup of tea. It's something that you either get or you don't. You have to have a certian kind of sense of humor to enjoy most of the shows on Adult Swim. Who's to say somebody can't appreciate both shows? I like all kinds of different humor, myself. (lest anybody think I am trying to paint one in a better light than another!)

For a while comedycentral.com was offering an MP3 of "The Cycle Of Poo". Luckily I downloaded one when I got the chance.
Matt and Trey have decided not to make a SPBLU. I forgot why. Try Mr. Hats Hell HoleMr. Hat's Hell Hole (http://www.thehellhole.com)

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I figured I could only stretch the "in" joke thing only too thin before it lost it's punch. I wanted something along the lines of animation this time around, and what better than one of my most fav Adult Swim characters!
