If you look at the background of this page youll the batman from the Batman show. I wonder why WB change the look. I believe it looks much better in the Teaser than the final verison.

I prefer the more serious look also. I wish they didn't change it.

Yes, that's quite a dramatic change. Most of the characters look like they have some sort of cranial deformity.

It's not just more serious, it's a LOT older looking. They were going for a young Batman, and the one in the preview looked to be in his 30's, at least.

Seeing the preview was a relief for me because it was rather dark, gritty and, again, Batman wasn't as young as I had been lead to believe. And then..."Hi Pilot!"...

The preview looked a lot better than the final design but changes is one of those things that happens. Unfortunatly in this case it was for the worse.

I still can appreciate the look of the show. That original unused look is like a cross between the various DCAU versions, too.

When you put them side-by-side like that, the version they ended up using looks almost...extra-terrestrial. No nose..look! He has minus a nose! No nostrils. His puny little mouth is incredibly high on his face, his chin is VERY pointy, and his eyes are rather big. He's not only young-looking, he's alien-looking. The look of him always bothered me, but now it pisses me off even more, because they originally had such a great design of Batman.

Just what I was thinking, "The Batman" looks like the bastard offspring of bt's batman and Ignignort (sp?) from Aquateens.
