Maybe...but the only pair I can actually see is Superman and Wonder Woman. Batman's always been a loner type, and if they had him "hook up" with another hero, I think it'd just change his character. After his previous encounters w/ romance (Mask of the Phantasm and the "Chemistry" episode) I don't think he'll be all to eager to "hook up" with anyone. Maybe the Flash and Hawkgirl, though.....

J'onn'll never hook up with anyone. He had a wife on Mars that he loved with all his life, and it's been gone over and over again in the comics that he could never find a replacement, even if he wanted one.

Batman...I doubt it, at least not in the League. I've always wanted to see more between him and Talia, though.

Superman and Wonder Woman are the most likely.

I think Flash and Hawkgirl would be awesome together. Flash needs SOMEONE.

GL would think romance just gets in the way of the job.

Supes got lois lane
Bats not the hooking up type.
J J probably not going to be searching for a hook up since he is devoted to his lost martian wife.
Flash and hawkgirl.... hmm maybe
WW, well so far she is just learning about man's world and probably not into hooking up with anyone at the moment especially if her mom will never approve ;)

To avoid Lois questions, I don't think WW and Supes will be flirting, though I think they should have some attraction between them. My vote goes for Hawkgirl and Flash! That, I'd like to see :)

I feel like I've written this on another post somewhere. Does this question seem redundant to any of the rest of you???

Nah, I don't think Batman has any feelings for WW.
I think Bats just likes looking at that nice amazon booty ;)

Superman and WW should so some attraction towards each other but not necessarily hook up. Flash and Hawkgirl make an interesting couple. Batman and J'onn are both loners. And I just found out that John Stewart had an alien wife in the comics. She either died or was killed not sure. It would be interesting to show her in a future episode.

Hawkgirl and Flash would be cool, but wouldn't it be awesome if Hawkman showed up at her door on a night that the Flash stayed over?

Batman's not hooking up with anybody. Batgirl would be jealous.

Superman and Wonder Woman would definately feel something there, but it will be unrequited. Besides, could you imagine Hippolyta's reaction to Diana bringing a man home?

Superman and Wonder Woman should feel something for each other. It wouldn't be Justice League without some sort of tension between the two of them. And I'm not talking about professional tension :D .

As for Hawkgirl and Flash....I just don't see it.

Personally, I kinda thought that The Flash and Wonder Woman would make a cute couple! :D But I'll wait until I've seen more episodes until I make a final decision.

Oh my God, I like think batman and wonder woman would make such a cute couple. They like should hook up and share some romance.
It would be so cute and totally awesome

Being in love is like majorly terrific and they looks so cute together.
that's so sweet if they hook up.

But like I hope wonder woman don't hook up with the flash, he seems like such a dog and a major moron.

I know that I shouldn't make any character judgements right away (considering that I have not but watched "Secret Origins" and "In Blackest Night - Part One"), but I thought I saw what could have been some chemistry going on between Batman and Diana in the pilot film. I know that everyone and their momma has been saying, "Batman is the loner type, he'll never hook up with WW!", but I beg to differ. The way I see it, good ol' Bruce just wants some way for all his pain to go away, and every now and then he'll meet a girl who may seem to be that "special someone". Unfortunately, none of them ever are. Oh sure, he could have definitely gotten (and remained) married with any (of a certain few) of his many loves, but he can't break that desire for vengence and righting the wrongs of evil. It is quite possible, then, for Bats' and the Amazon Princess to have some form of a romantic relationship in the series; however, chances are, the romance won't last long, and the Bat will probably end up breaking poor Diana's heart. Don't believe me? Well, that's fine and all, but let me remind you that history does indeed repeats itself, and, by the look of it, Batman has constantly fallen in love with many women and sadly broke up with them just as easily.

As far as the Flash and Hawkgirl are concerned, I won't be surprised if I see plenty of flirting going on between the two of them, but I couldn't imagine any real romance in their future working together.

Those are my opinions and I'm sticking with them! :D

I think all we might see is some flirting between Flash and Hawkgirl, and Flash TRYING to flirt with Wonder Woman. Batman...don't even joke about that. Superman...he may not have Lois...but it's not his style. J'onn is a Martian. John Stewart is the sleeper. Maybe...just maybe he's not a big jer-nahhh...

From "In Blackest Night Part I" we wonder if Hawkgirl had any romances where she came from. I think that Hawkgirl and Flash are the most likely to hook up.

Wonder Woman and Flash, that would rock!

I've heard that there will be a story involving a romance between Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor so I think a WW/Supes romance is out. However, a Hawkgirl/Flash romance would be fun I think. They were both flirting with each other so the interest is there. It would be interesting to see how Hawkgirl's no-nonsense personality mixes with Flash's layed-back outlook romantically don't you think? I can see the sparks now.

I really think that if Superman and WW or anyone "hook up" then it will be the end of me watching the series. If you want this sort of romance, go watch Smallville. Justice League is about the heroes, not their love lives.

Why? Black Canary hooked up with Green Arrow and both are still popular characters. There was also a small romance between Wonder Woman and Aquaman that was very touching in my opinion. I think it would be interesting to see Hawkgirl and Flash hook up on JL. Obviously it shouldn't turn into a soap opera but the intimate relationship would add a new layer to their characters that would be interestiung to see play out. :D

I totally agree. While I don't want this show to become all

"Diana, Clark knows about us!"
"I don't love Clark, I love you!!!"

...cause that's FROMAGE . Say it with me people...

NO FROMAGE ON JL!

But I do think we need to see Wonder Woman start developping interest in big ol' Supes. I heard about the whole "Steve Trevor" thing coming up, but maybe it'll be in the past (WWI) and he'll be older in present time. I do think it'd be good to see her attracted to Clark, and maybe a little attraction developping between her and Bats. Ultimately, though, Batman should be kept eight feet away from any new love interests besides Catwoman and Talia.

As for Flash and HG, I think it would be good to see an actual relationship develop (depending on their private marital status of course!) because she's only being know on the show as the fighting lady in wings and he's only being know on the show as the jokester of the group. We need to see him more serious, and her less harsh. Frankly, I'm not sure I like either of them very much. But a relationship storyline in Season Two (or later) might do for their characters what the Monica/Chandler relationship did for theirs on "Friends".

Please don't compare a Flash/Hawkgirl relationship to Friends. It was fine at first, but that marriage is killing Chandler's character.

I think that Steven Trevor will be a one-time thing, as I believe that he'll be in the past.

Oh, and who are the League members in your "Melrose Place" example? Wonder Woman and who?

Flash and Hawkgirl could easily become one-dimensional characters in no time. A romance would spice them up.

No need to be snappish

And, since both Hawkgirl and Flash weren't on 'Enemy Below' maybe, just maybe, a date? That would be cool.

After reading through this thread, I thought I’d share a little bit of comic book history that almost happened.

Way, way back in 1979 (when I had to travel to and from work by foot, through the snow, uphill, both ways), the editor and writer of the Wonder Woman comic were planning to add a new twist to Diana Prince’s character by having her become romantically involved with a member of the Justice League. This was pre-Crisis, after Steve Trevor/Howard died for the second time, I believe. What’s more, the editor of the Wonder Woman comic was also editing the title of the chosen Justice League suitor, which would have made the romantic sub-plot cross over between the books rather seamlessly.

The plan was nixed, however, when a comic book fan sent in a letter to DC’s Wonder Woman lettercol suggesting the same idea shortly after the decision was made (and you know how sticky a lawsuit could result). This was probably a good thing, as the editorship of the JL suitor was also passed to another person shortly thereafter, which would make the romantic subplot more difficult to coordinate. (This was a different time, when Superman and Batman had only two books a month, plus the shared World’s Finest, which operated rather independently of each other.) Further, one of the first things the new editor did was hook the hero back up with an old flame, which completely destroyed the chances of this “satellite-office romance” from ever happening.

I’ve kept you in suspense long enough. The Justice Leaguer Diana was to have a fling with was none other than Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern. This was really no surprise, since Hal’s character as a confident (not cocky) test pilot would make him the closest match to Steve Trevor’s personality, which would explain Diana’s attraction. Hal was also “available” at this time, and on the rebound after breaking up with his fiancée Kari Limbo on the day of their wedding (now that is a soap opera story in itself -- see Green Lantern (Vol 2) #116-122 for that one).

For those of you who suspect I may be making this up, this information was revealed in the lettercol of Wonder Woman (Vol 1) #259. And a look at Justice League of America (Vol 1) #176 would suggest that the GL-WW romance (which was to start in the Wonder Woman title) was being recognized in that story. Hal had his arm around Diana a couple of times, and he even addressed the Amazon as “Princess” in what can be construed as an affectionate manner (it was the first and only time he addressed her this way). These actions were probably considered subtle enough that there was no need to rewrite or redraw these pages when the romantic subplot was later deep-sixed, and such romantic behaviors from Hal or Diana immediately ceased after that issue.

Just thought you’d all like to know.

Wow, that's really interesting DarkLantern. But here's my take on who should have an interest in who...

J'onn and Hawkgirl are both strong, stern professionals at what they do. Plus, as stated in the original post, J'onn deserves some companionship.

As for the other JL vixen, Wonderwoman will be absolutely infatuated and intrigued by Batman, so she'll have a strong interest in him, but of course, it's more than likely Bruce won't act on it.

Now this is gathered from what I know about all these wonderful wonderful characters. But if you REALLY wanna know what's gonna happen, Wonderwoman is gonna have a relentless attraction to me. End of story. lol :P
