Ed, Edd, and Eddy- Mirror, Mirror, on the Ed (but I have seen Ed in a Nut Shell a few times) and any new eps
PPG-Get Back, Jojo; Power Lunch

No classics, but I finally did tape Small World on CN to see that it is no big deal.

I would be steamed when I'd miss "His Bitter Half" or the three ABC Tweetys, "A Bird in a Bonnet", "Trick or Tweet", and "Tweet Dreams". But I managed to get them through trade.

Actually, several. There are but a few cartoons CN airs that I haven't taped, and for some reason I'm never around or taping when they're on:

"A Bird in a Bonnet"
"Wholly Smoke"
"Injun Trouble"
"Little Beau Porky"
"Gold Diggers of '49"
"Pigs Is Pigs"

I haven't been able to catch these Famous Studios Popeye cartoons:

"Safari So Good"
"Spinach Packin' Popeye"

I know they aired on a Popeye show back in September... which I missed. :(

Who was it that hasnt seen the PPG episode "Get Back Jojo"? Well, it aired again today. PPG eps should be easy to find. The episode titles are given on the CN shedules.

The two T&J cartoons I keep missing are Slicked Up Pup and Safety Second. I've got em on tape, but I need cleaner copies.

I don't watch PPG very much, but I saw that episode for the first time recently and noticed the Gerald McBoing Boing cameo (sort of, he and his parent's were redesigned a little so Columbia wouldn't sue them, I guess.)

The B&W Porky's Romance and the uncut CZ version of Pilgrim Porky, which aired on late night B&D over the last year + the CZ versions of Westward Whoa! and Porky's Midnight Matinee on the Acme Hour. (Those are just the ones I remember right now!) The fact that I did get Injun Trouble (I had never seen the original B&W version before; only a redrawn) on LNB&W last week, all the Bob Clampett shows, an uncut B&W version of Pilgrim Porky and many more WB shorts over time eases the sting somewhat. Not to mention that I have computer colorized versions of all 7 LT shorts that are currently shown on Cartoon Network as redrawns. :D

TOYTOWN HALL
PILGRIM PORKY

A few months ago, I was in need of two CZ Porky cartoons, "Porky the Wrestler" and "Chicken Jitters" that air on CN.
However, I managed to get "Porky the Wrestler" when it aired on CN in October last year on "The Looney Tunes Show." And I got a B&W copy of "Chicken Jitters" from Thad in a tape trade.

*"Corn on the Cop" (LT, Porky Pig)

*" Leprechan Droopy" (MGM)

*unless I'm g.d. lucky, a good Tom and Jerry with Mammy (dubbed or undubbed).

I am happy, though, to cross "Big Chief Ugh-Amugh-Ugh" (Popeye, Fleischer) off the list.

I always seem to miss "A Bird In A Bonnet" & "Tweet Dreams". They seem to elude me...

Hmmm...must be a conspiracy... :p

Start watchin' Tom and Jerry at 1:30am on Saturday nights, because The Framed Cat, Saturday Evening Puss, The Lonesome Mouse, Sleepy-Time Tom, Polka-Dot Puss, Push Button Kitty and Nit-Witty Kitty have all aired over the past three weeks.

Additionally it's a good idea to record the weeknight 3:30am T&J showings whenever both the early afternoon (1pm) and late night (11:30pm) showings dont air. For example, Adult Swim takes T&J's place on Thursdays and the show also never airs on Fridays either. The Looney Tunes movies aired all day last Friday, nixing the 1pm Tom and Jerry slot. So CN decided to show Dog Trouble, Triplet Trouble and The Midnight Snack in the 3:30am time slot.

So in all thats 10 Mammy cartoons that have aired over the past month or so. Puss Gets the Boot airs every so often, so thats another one. Keep watching that Saturday night slot, since Part Time Pal, Old Rockin' Chair Tom, A Mouse in the House and Mouse Cleaning will probably air any week now (the later two edited of course.)

Come to think of it, "Mansion Cat" is on my list as well. Oh, yes, and the short with Bugs Bunny and a genie voiced by Jim Backus ("A Lad in a Lamp", I believe). I haven't seen that one in a while, and I missed it during June Bugs (I think it aired in the wee hours).

Ya know, I havent seen A Lad in a Lamp in a long time either, one of the few Bugs cartoons I havent seen in the past year.

The Mansion Cat has also aired on the 1:30am Saturday T&J time slot. Believe me, your not missing much. This slot is so far the only place to see Life With Tom, The Tom and Jerry Cartoon Kit (Deitch), Matinee Mouse and The Shutterbugged Cat (both Jones). I'm happy Two Little Indians is popping up more and more, although last Thursday's showing was probably just Thanksgiving related. I hope it isnt banished to the late hours again. Another one I havent seen lately is The Milky Waif. Luckily I have this cartoon on tape somewhere, complete with the blackface scene.

I'm about work on a thread that gives the status of every Tom and Jerry cartoon on CN, edits noted.

look for it...

"The Milky Waif" was absent from the CN rotation for a long time, but it seems to also be airing more often (the same with "The Little Orphan" and "Two Little Indians"). The same was true for Tex Avery's "Lucky Ducky".

"A-Lad-In His Lamp" just aired over the weekend on the Looney Tunes Show.

They also aired some Mammy cartoons on Nov. 1 (3:30am) when T&J was pre-empted by the Scooby-Doo Halloween marathon. They aired "The Midnight Snack", "Triplet Trouble", and ended the show with "Blue Cat Blues".

We're getting back so many Tom and Jerry cartoons this past year arent we. I think CN should do a special Adult Swim Toonheads show and air His Mouse Friday (WITH the right dialoge-which is really the only thing Tom and Jerry related I've NEVER seen, I mean heard. I wish someone would help me out)
