I don't really care for Midnight Club Racing but we'll see how this GTA will turn out.

Honestly, this "brand new iteration"? Probably take Liberty City from GTAIII, give it San Andreas RPG elements, and whitewash it with changed missions and textures.

Now these games are just making the PSP a more tempting purchase. Man, I'd settle for the old GTA to be on a handheld, let alone latest graphics. That's gonna be insane. Each version has been pretty enjoyable so I doubt that would change with this next one.

Haven't played Midnight Club, so while it's a good franchise, it's contribution to the PSP ranks doesn't interest me cept for the overall outlook of the product.

Oh damn...there's another title to get. Midnight Club I never really cared for, but GTA will be necessary. Playtime probally won't be the longest but if done right it'll be a nice experience.

Let's leave moderating to the moderators. Getting irritable with people just puts people off posting.

I would be interested to see how they do GTA on the PSP and how they utilize the handheld. GTA being a game which utilizes so much freedom and variation will be a hard one to translate well without taking back a step in the games evolvement.

Midnight Club is basically the street races from Grand Theft Auto without all the funner stuff. But, Grand Theft Auto is always awesome...still doesn't convince me to buy a handheld though...

Well the recent review of PSM shows that the PSP can last 4-5 hours on Maximum Settings. Sofar many of the games were worthy of a purchase or atleast a quick look. It's certainly better than DS's launch line-up though. However they were discussing memory sticks which is what you will use to save your game. There really isn't any special memory stick that you have to use for the PSP, there are already cheaper alternitives out therem they gave a few names of companies that offer a 1 GB memorystick for around 150 bucks. Now 1 GB is really for things besides the games(i.e music) so you would probably be better with the cheaper default memorystick. So probably GTA and MNC would probably play similarly to their console precursors and wouldn't take up alot of room on the memory stick.

I'm saying since the PSP has all the buttons of the playstation controler that they would probably play similar to the console countyerparts

New game? I think you mean different from it home system versions. But still theres lack of original games for the handhelds systems.

RAINMAN are you *gasp* having a jab at the GBA's excessive porting (sans some very minor updates in some cases) from the SNES? An anti Nintendo comment? ;)

Nevertheless, no matter how you wriggle, the fact is they are not ports as you originally suggested. ;)

I think there is a BIG difference with porting titles over and developing new ones for the your new platforms based on current titles.

People on the whole aren't bothered when it happens with Mario (providing it's could naturally), same applies here. Providing this offers something new it would be finanically idiotic not to actually use some of your leading titles in the promotion of your new hand held.

In the end, as long as they are good... that can only be the final bench mark.

It`s true for a system to do well it needs big names series to survile. But it don,t heat to make original once in a while. You never know when a pipe size game may tune out to be a megahit like pokemon. And yes I was talking about the GBA too. There some good games yet to many ports and not just from nintendo. All the game square made are tiresome ports from N or sony systems.
