New episodes are in production. Williams Street, the producers of the shows, are busy working with the bulk of the Adult Swim shows, as well as working on the Toonami programming block. I do hope "Harvey Birdman" comes back soon, because from what I've seen, it's one of the best shows on Adult Swim. I wish it were on earlier though...
yeah I know what you mean about the earlier thing, I missed all the shows when they aired but read everything i could about them to their air dates lol. I really wanted to see the Shaggy getting busted one too.

Williams Street only produced the HB:AAL pilot along with J.J. Sedelmaier productions. The show is now owned entirely by Allied Arts and Science, and is animated by Rough Draft Studios, Inc. (in Seoul, Korea)

When I sat through the first Adult Swim, I suffered through Home Movies (folks, when a show's too bad for UPN...), but when I saw HB:AAL, I felt as refreshed as if I had been in a country waterfall!
Well, not quite that refreshed, but I was thinking to myself, "Self," I thought (old joke ON), "This is the breakout show of the bunch. Sure, Brak is really good too, but Harvey Birdman has the potential to appeal to Fans and Nonfans alike!" Thereby guaranteeing that we would not see another episode for three months.
Sorry, folks. The delay is all my fault. Darn my giddy enthusiasm!

Not to mention on an episode guide I checked out, there are only three episodes listed, and one never aired. I have been unable to uncover any information about this show.

Birdman is coming back to Adult Swim. When you watch the first 2 shorts, you'll notice they both have different production companies. They are currently flipping things around to settle it down. The first season will only have 5 episodes. The unaired episode involved Droopy dog and a bombing which wasn't shown in light of Sept. 11th. No word as to what will happen with that. Oh well.

And who can tell me, is this a different Birdman from the Sad Sack who fills in on the Space Ghost show when Tad has had one of his embarrassing tongue-shaving accidents? Are there two Birdmen in the Hanna Barbera universe or is this Birdman a kind of "Earth B" Birdman?

He's kind of an alternate universe Birdman.
And "Unmasked" airs in December on Cartoon Network.

I'm interested to see it myself--it sounds odd, as Droopy never used bombs in Avery's shorts. His trademark was popping up everywhere inexplicably (cf. "Northwest Hounded Police", "Dumb Hounded"). It was McWolf or Spike who were always trying to blow him up (unsuccessfully) with TNT or somesuch....

Maybe now that CN is airing the episodes of Cowboy Bebop that wern't shown because of the attacks, a explosion-happy Droopy will be airing sometime soon on Adult Swim.
Hopefully.

Is it just me? I seem to remember him handing the other dogs lots of bombs and dynamite, and for example they'd have to run with it up in the hills and let it blow up in their faces to keep from waking someone up.

Well, Abductor, you've got me on a technicality. But those weren't unprovoked attacks, and most of those were later efforts (some co-directed or entirely directed by Michael Lah), probably after Avery's stress-related breakdown at MGM. I was thinking more of early vintage Droopy (and trying bloody hard to forget the crappo Filmation ones-- ;) )

Well again I'm thinking back to those original Droopy cartoons...
I mean to me that's one of the classic bits... someone is sleeping or everyone has to be quiet for some other reason, and Droopy hands a stick of lit dynamite to the wolf or the bulldog, who then runs off into the hills so as not to make a loud noise, and blammo!, black-face and tasteless racial sterotype joke.

filmation droopy eps.? Are those the one's where droopy has to beat spike at a disco? or the ones where he has a son named drippy?
I guess either way really. they all sucked.
