Japanese Title: Protect Kaya! Usopp Pirate Gang Takes Action!
Dub Title: The Long Arm of the Claw
Manga Chapters: 38-39
I want to remind everyone that One Piece starts back up again for the holiday hiatus. Now then.I hope everyone is ready for the poorest dubbing since the Ashlee Simpson SNL incident (burn) and the worst tv accident since the Ashlee Simpson Orange Bowl halftime show. (Oh snap! Super Burn!)
I kid, I kid. So, we're nearing the end of the Luffy/Kuro fight, and it gets pretty good. Kuro busts out his final attack and goes crazy on everything, and I hope the anime catches it well. We get more of Jango and Zolo (Had to do a double backspace yet again  ) gets some more screen time. Yay.

Yeah, the anime does Kuro's ougi pretty well.
Too bad they'll likely cut....everything.
Including the dispute between Jango and the rich girl.

My comments after seeing the episode:
1. Crap, they edited out Django getting beaten up by the Midget Pirates (yes, I know it's the Veggie Pirates, but I'm refering to them as Midget Pirates here as a reference to a funny One Piece AMV that spoofs Behind the Music). Yet another reason why 4Kids MUST release an uncut version of this series.
2. Okay, I'm taking it that pepper attack = an attack at a certain part of the male anatomy.
3. Oh come on, 4Kids. Even the youngsters who watch this show are smart enough to realize that the rich girl isn't trying to use Django's blades against him, but is actually threatening to commit suicide.

Go-chin One word...Time! like 2mins where cut out of it to fit the time! I watched the japanese ep this morning and they did.
BUt they did a good cover up of her trying to kill herself!
All in all a well done ep even though there's no blood, by the way One Piece was the only new ep on This saturday I wonder why?

What do you mean dispute? Are you talking about the part where Kaya is threatening to gut herself with the chakram? Because was left in but 4Kids went and added some real cheesy dialog about the chakram turning on her or something. (to be honest, I don't even know what the hell I'm talking about since I've never seen the original version but I think I know an edit when I see it by now.)
EDIT: Nevermind. Question's been answered.
Captain Kuro cutting his crew members to pieces with that Cat out of the Bag attack was kickass. I can only imagine that there was plenty of blood in the original.

IIRC there was not blood, only reaction shots to the speed-attack. not that it matteres anyway, cuz they all just get up like nothing happeneed later anyway O_o

I saw some blood, that already puts it up there with Shaman King in terms of keeping content in. :D

As if that makes up for anything...

.....what!?
.....what!?
Probably was referring to the MAGIC CHAKRAM (in the original, Kaya said she'd kill herself if Jango hurt the Usopp Pirates, in the dub, she makes it all mystical like "The power of the chakram will turn on you!")

This was one of my first dubbed episodes of One Piece. Here are my thoughts:
-Good God, Usopp has a godawful voice. Luckily, he didn't have too many lines in this episode, but I really can't see the show going on with that terrible, terrible voice.
-Why were the kids' weapons repainted the way they were? I don't think there's anything too threatening about a frying pan, a bat, or a shovel? Then again, it's not like 4Kids' paint edits (http://www.bulbagarden.net/~dogasu/comparisons/houen/ep027.html) ever make any sense.
-Kaya's "threat" with Django's weapon = worst dub cover up EVER. Really, they must really think we're idiots if they think we didn't figure it out.

Uhhhhhhh Practice makes perfect? That's the only reason I have. 4Kids just made them look awful and probably wasted hours for nothing. 4Kids must have no time management skills.
They probably didn't want little kids to grab cooking tools from their kitchens and go attack people, or something. I dunno.
2. Okay, I'm taking it that pepper attack = an attack at a certain part of the male anatomy.
o.o; Um, I haven't seen the original, but I think Onion ran in and threw pepper at Jango, which is why he was wearing a mask thing and why Jango was sneezing afterwards. Sometime in there Carrot whacked the guy...between the...legs. >_> Yeah.

People complain about the blood and violence being taken out, so I suppose that is something :D

Sorry guys, but I shall no longer be doing the edits for the show. I never thought watching the 4Kids version would be so painful to me.

I'm more concerned about the presentation of the show personally...
Nin-Nin: I agree. Part of me wants to give up on One Piece Uncensored. Another part of me is kicking that other part's ass and shaking the TiVo in a feeble attempt to make it work.

Don't blame you one bit. As time went on the list would have just gotten longer and longer anyway.

They can google up a site where they can watch the Japanese version.
Good god that was such a bad pun.
"Yeah! Finish him off with your other claws, Captain Kuro!"
"Hey, we're not supposed to call him that."
"Yeah, the villagers call him Kla something."
"Santa Kla?"
"...YEAH, SANTA KLA! PERFECT! FINISH HIM!"
Oh dear god ><

1. Did they just repeat the prologue twice?!
2. Right on the family jewels! Can't believe that's on SatAM. :D
3. Haha! Jengo's chakra weapon "going against" Kaya! Suuuure! ;)
4. This Kuro fight is taking too long DBZ-ish. He's relatively weak for Luffy.

Actually, you wouldn't believe how often the Japanese use that pun in their Xmas eps! :p

If only the pun was in Japanese, it would be so much cooler, huh? Oh wait, there are puns in the original.

IIRC, the second movie was full of them. And when Luffy was trying to guess Buggy's name.

Why are you getting on my case? The pun sucks either way. 4Kids added it in when it wasn't there. If it was in the Japanese version, it sucks. If it's in both versions, it sucks.
To put it simple: I hate puns.
And the movies are crap anyway.

I've never really noticed that many puns. There are jokes revolving around Luffy using the wrong word occasionally, but not that many puns.
