Nice Adult Swim Site, However...

...what if we had one extra Toon site; one reserved for shows marked "other?" As it stands we have a message board for classic Looney Tunes, one for Batman/Superman (and apparently Smallville, :mad: ), one for the Justice League, one for Cartoon Cartoons, one for Tiny Toons, and one for Adult Swim; but...where can we discuss Invader ZIM? Or Ren and Stimpy? Or Gargoyles? Aeon Flux? Beavis and Butthead? The Tick? The Critic? Futurama? Or even, [gasp], the Simpsons?

I humbly propose that one more toon board be added: one that would deal strictly with Cartoons that...well...just don't fit in with any of the other message boards. As much as I like this AniGen board, it's more of a meeting place to talk about stuff that isn't related to cartoons at all.

Just a suggestion for our little community.

Well, as far as boards listed under "The Toons" section goes, each one is connected to one of the sites we host. So for example, if we ever added an Invader Zim site, and they wanted a board, they'd get one.

That leaves all other cartoon discussion to take place here in the AniGen board, cause it was designed as a catch-all for talk about other cartoons and non-cartoon topics. There had been talk about splitting this board into a General Animation board and an Other Topics board, but most people were against that. You can also talk about other cartoons in the Warner Bros. Club board.

This is the place man. ANIMATION & GENERAL TOPICS is the name of the board and that's the purpose it serves. For all the discussions that don't fit anywhere's else, this is where to post. As far as I know, there are no plans to split this into two boards...and I'd know since I run these WF Boards There is the WBCBB Board which is a great place to discuss animation as well! There is a CNX Toonami board coming soon, though. But to talk about all of those...this is it.

Warner Bros Club is a great place to discuss Warner Brothers animation in general.

Yup. That's the way it's always been. I'm suprised some people have yet to pick up on that. We figured it complicated things less, becaue it has such a broad community. Maybe the name sometimes throws people off. But in any case, the WF has had this board for quite a while. I think it serves it's purpose well. :)

The long name is featured in the board description so there should be no problems for figuring out the purpose of this board. This board basically covers that that isn't already covered, and (as Nightwing said) serve's it's purpose well.

I don't think the average poster reads the small type descriptions of each board. AniGen doesn't automatically ring in as the general animation board when they glance at the board names.

The board name stays at is. If the general browser wants more info, then they should read the small board description. Alot of questions can be answered by simply reading that short description. If they miss it, then it's their problem.

I wasn't suggesting it should change. Heck, the Animation and General Topics part is in bold letters as it is right there. I was just saying, it's understandable if a question like this pops up because most people don't pay attention to stuff like that. But you're right, it's not your fault they didn't notice the small print.

I really would like to see a page in which you post non-wb or non-cn fan fics. You see, recently I posted a fan fic called "Behind the Music - Fingerbang". It was a South Park fan fic. So it got deleted. :o I really wanted you guys to see it.... Please guys, make a board devoted to non-WB fan fics! I don't want my stuff to be made fun of at fanfiction.net!

Non-WB stories *are* allowed on the Story Board... but keep in mind, *ALL* stories submitted are subject to the approval of the moderators. If a story is doesn't fit the pre-existing Story Board guidelines (They can be found at the Fan Fic page, actually...), the Mods *do* reserve the right to remove the stories.

Romey & I both looked over your story and felt that it was not of the appropriate nature for our boards. To us, it got off on the wrong foot and we both agreed that it could go into directions we don't want it going in.

When posting stories, you always have to remember that this is a family site... is the story you are posting something you'd want your little sister to read? how bout your parents?

This is off topic. Colin, I was wondering. The post I made, "Clash of the Cartoon Stars". How is it? Is it good? I need some suggestions for the next one "Invader ZIM VS. Butt-Ugly Martians" to make it good. I also need more fight suggestions. Should I have another ref? I need someone to have another person other then "The Man" Mr. T. In one of the coming fan fics commentators Bugs Bunny & Mickey Mouse go at one another. Of course Bugs wins, so who should take Mickey's place? Well see ya! Good night everybody! :D HAVE A NICE DAY!
