Hey,

I've been looking through a lot of the Marvel shows recently, sepcifically the team ups and came across a few oddities. Since Marvel began, it's been fond of team ups, often diverting the not so popular heroes into teams, and creating specific teams for others. It's trying to do it now with The New Avengers, with little success apprantly. The main reason they do this is because a lot of them are friends.

The classic example is Spider-Man and The Human Torch, despite the fact they annoy the hell out of each other, they are thrown together time and time again, usually with humerous results. This in turn got me thinking about their animated team ups.

So far, I've gathered the only time they've appeared together in animation is in Secret Wars. That's it. Similar situation with Captain America and Iron Man, despite the fact they've both had thier own shows, and are dominant members of The Avengers, the only time they've teamed up is in Secret Wars.

Are there any others team ups that Marvel Animation is lacking?

A team-up series would have been great, but Saban was the only thing that could pull it off. Anyways DD and Punisher is the only one to come to my mind immediatly.

An Iron Fist guest star would seem appropriate for the (post)MTV Spider-Man series.

This in turn got me thinking about their animated team ups. I think the reason why alot of these team-ups don't happen is because of the television/movie rights behind these characters and how they're spread out among various companies. Still I do wish the Human Torch made a return appearance in the 1990's Spider-Man cartoon. A team-up between these two characters is always a great time. I can't wait for the Spider-Man/Human Torch team-up comic that Dan Slott and Ty Templeton have coming. I wish we could've seen this in animated form though.

Down the line I would definitely like to see some Marvel characters drop in on Spidey.

I've always wondered why The Human Torch and Iceman have never had a real team-up, neither comic or animation wise. You'd think of all the MU characters, these two would make for a great comedic duo, even better than Torch and Spidey.

I'm surprised we've never seen this type of a team-up either. I can't immediately think of any comic where these two were featured together. If only we had a Marvel Team-Up cartoon...we could see something like this.
