Just my opinion, Kevin Conroy is the greatest voice for Batman I have ever heard in my entire life.
Any opposition?

I think that you're preaching to the converted, mmpr7.
Welcome to the board, by the way.

I met Kevin Conroy at a signing once ( so have many others I'm sure). However, I was struck by how genuine and nice he was. He even recorded an impromtu personal message as Batman for my friend's 7 year-old son on a tape recorder...and was very willing and excited about doing it for him. What a class act.
Kevin Conroy definitely has my vote for best Batman voice of all time. Hands down!! ...and a great guy to boot!

Forget Keaton. Forget Kilmer. To hell with George Clooney. and as for Adam West, go to bed old man.
Kevin Conroy is *THE* Batman actor. As far as I'm concerned the character has never been portrayed properly in other media until TAS and this man came along.
Voice acting is a highly underrated art in general, but I think in mant respects its the true test of an actor. They cant depend on body language or rest casually on star power and their pretty faces to pull it off. They have to **act**. What a concept!

No oppostition here. Kevin Conroy is the best Batman ever.
If Kevin Conroy isn't considered in the upper echelon of voice actors today, along with people like Frank Welker and Maurice LaMarche, than somebody needs to recognize. I think we as Batfans would revolt if someone tried to put on an animated Batseries with another VA as Batman . . . just like BATMAN AND ROBIN, it just wouldnt work.

I agree with everyone :)
I never saw what Kevin even looked like until the behind the scenes documentary for Batman Beyond Return of the Joker. It was good to see the man behind the voice.
As for BTAS, that is the best portrayal of Batman that will ever be achieved, IMO. I know WB is going to be making Batman: Year One, but unless they make it animated from Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, et al. it won't be as good :)
I was also happy to see that he is doing the voice for Justice League, and that Andrea Romano is still the the voice director... They can't go wrong with that combo, eh?
Thanks everyone.

No opposition here. Conroy's got the best way of carrying that character. If I'm reading any Batman comic, that's the voice I here. Pretty effective, huh?...

I know I'm just repeating here, but ain't no one gonna hold a candle to Kevin Conroy's Batman/Bruce Wayne at any age. That's what I love about the shows. His voice is just so deep, it resonates with power. If there were ever going to be a Batman in real life, he'd have a voice like that.
And he makes swoon :)

They should cast Kevin to do Batman in the live action films too - or at least have him dress up as Batman at a WB theme park for a special event or something. :D

Mr Conroy rocks (though I've never met him), but I don't think it's cool to diss Keaton. He was the best live-action Batman, no contest.

Yeah, no put downs to Keaton. Best live action Batman, Conroy best animated Batman...

Kevin Conroy is my hero man! I couldn't imagine anyone else doing Batman's voice ever, and if for some unimaginable reason they did, I would revolt against the whole industry!

I agree with all of you guys. :) I met Kevin Conroy twice (once he signed a WB plate of Bats fighting two-face, and the second time he signed a bust statue of Batman from TNAS). He was really sweet and friendly with everyone - and willingly took pictures with the fans, too. His voice is hands down my favorite male voice of all time - and he IS the ultimate Batman. I cannot even imagine anyone else trying to be Bats - they'd pale in comparison. And I agree with Calico - that voice makes me swoon! :D

Had to finally register to throw in my 2 cents on this one...
I also met Kevin at a WB Studio Store signing (oh man do I miss those stores!).
Anyway, I have to agree that he was great to talk to ,and even called me a 'quite a Joker' when we started kidding around about trying to get info on the still forthcoming ROTJ movie. He then signed a polariod picture which I keep as a centerpiece on the shelves behind my bar.
Adam West? maybe if you grew up in the 60s, but i think everyone agrees that Kevin is the man today!
