I'm sure this question was already brought up to your attention, but I was just curious as to what series you like better Justice League or Teen Titans?
I really liked both. But I like Justice League better, because to me the series is more generated for older people, then kids. The superheroes are older too. Also, I enjoy the lively animation and nice story lines.
Plese let me know which show is your favorite? Whether it's Justice League, Teen Titans or something else. :)
If you vote for other, please tell me the name of the show as well as why it's best, favorite in your opinion.

Justice League for it's rich 12 year continiuty.
That poll won't stay at 100% for long though.

Yeah, Teen Titans is my favorite. Maybe I shouldn't say why, it tends to just turn quite sour. But, I think Teen Titans has better characters. Just me though.
I would have to say that I like apples more than oranges I don't know why people call this an "Apples and Oranges" comparison. It's a handy way to avoid publicly saying one is better than the other, but it doesn't hold up. They are both group Superhero shows with ensemble casts. Seems pretty comparable to me. Now, JLU or TT comapared to BTAS or The Batman, that's more apples-oranges, because of the different formats. Ensemble heroes vs. Individualistic heroes.

Watched a lot of Teen Titans and all of JL so far. I like JL more. TT just didn't do it for me, just not that interested in it. But, then again, it's two completely different things.

Teen Titans. Not as pretentious; more "fun." I adore Beast Boy.
Every time I try to watch Justice League I find myself pleading to my T.V. for Batman to take the next space-flight back to Gotham. Honestly. O.o

I think they're very different. And I do think one is better, which is JL. But I don't think a show like TT is aimed at someone like me. Or at least, I can't relate to it at all, though I might have been able to when I was 12.
But that's just my opinion on that. And I've watched quite a bit of it, and rewatched some episodes recently. Still not doing anything for me as a viewer.
Let's just say this. TT elicites groans and head scratching from me in it's worst moments, and mild amusement in it's best. Jl's best moments have literally choked me up. Example would be FTMWHE, which just is one of the best half an hour cartoons I have ever seen, and that includes anime and episodes of BTAS and STAS, as well as other stuff.

I like both but Justice League better. TT is more for younger people.
JL, simply because it has better plots and (at least, IMO) better characters. TT is a little too silly for me, and the writers don't seem to put too much effort into the story. It just seems dumbed down. That said, I do like both series.

I know. I was at least hoping that it wouldn't be brought up again until after the end of TT Season 4 and JLU season 4, (or 2, if you must,) so at least therewould be new material to argue about. Personally I'm not going to argue about this time. If you like JLU better, fine. If you think it's a personal character flaw of mine that I like TT better, fine too. You won't hear another peep out of me on the subject, (unless, ofcourse the thread takes a unique and interesting turn that begs my attention.)

Interesting points, though I do think that they are more alike than Justice League and "The Batman" per se. I do like JL, in fact season 2 of JL was absolutely tremendous, with only two episodes really below average (Eclipsed and Wild Cards) and even they had their moments. Though week in and week out, I enjoy Teen Titans for what it brings to the table (or tv screen as it were). And I know that I am not the audience being aimed at by TT (I'm 30) but I still enjoy the show nonetheless. Because of the art style, characters, and wide range of stories, I prefer Teen Titans, with Justice League very close behind.
JL an JLU are MY shows. I have no doubt about it. However, I quite like a lot Teen Titans. For me TT is very fun to watch, it really makes me laugh a lot. TT´s action secuences are good and the animation is very nice too. I even got the DVD volumen 1. :D However, i also have all the JL DVDs released so far! :sweat:

I think TT is better at what it does than JL is at what it's supposed to do. Mere intent does not a great show make. Delivery on that intent, however, helps make the difference.

I could never get into Teen Titans. The style is good for what it is, and if you like that type of show, then I think it's great--it's just not for me.
Justice League is, IMHO, much better. As much as I liked JL Season 2 over JLU, I'm still enjoying the show, and as someone else noted, the rich continuity in terms of how it ties into plotlines as well as character development is just unparalleled in an animated show today.
So, my vote goes for JL(U).

That's like asking if you like steak or ice cream. Both are good in their own ways, have nothing to do with each other (other than the fact that they're both foods), and they aren't competing to replace each other. (You can have your steak for supper, and your ice cream for dessert.)
To use another anology, this is like having a poll of "Coca-Cola vs. Heinz Ketchup." :p

Both. It depends on what I'm in the mood for.
I'd have to say, though, that Teen Titans is superior to Justice League, in terms of animation, action and storytelling versatility.

It depends. Honestly BTAS was better than both of them, but I went with Justice League due to the first 2 seasons begin better storywise. Here's my actual opinion though of the DCAU series I've seen:
BTAS > JL > TT > STAS > BGK > JLU > SS
For those who don't know the abbreviations:
BTAS= Batman The Animated Series
JL= Justice League
TT= Teen Titans
STAS= Superman The Animated Series
BGK= Batman Gotham Knights
JLU= Justice League Unlimited
SS= Static Shock

To me, TT is better. Its characters are more interesting, they go through actual PROBLEMS in their lives besides *hmm which bad guy should I beat up first?* and much more flexible. (Can you imagine JL char.'s and LARRY? no.) It's funnier and doesn't get so serious that its tiring and boring like Justice League does. And they're the TEEN titans. And everybody knows that Teens > Old People in tights. :D:p (I haven't watched an entire episode on purpose since JL/JLU first came out.)
TT>JL>Anything basically> JLU. No offense to the people that like those shows.
.I don't know why people call this an "Apples and Oranges" comparison. It's a handy way to avoid publicly saying one is better than the other, but it doesn't hold up. They are both group Superhero shows with ensemble casts..
"tangerines and oranges" might be more apropo....seriously...yes, they're "both group superhero shows with ensemble casts", but the similarities pretty much end there....."seinfeld" and "friends" are also both "new york-based situation comedies with ensemble casts", but they're night and day, tone-wise (there i go again with another half-arsed pop-culture simile, see what you made me do?)
JLU and TT have totally different frameworks, mindsets, mission statements, what have you...JLU goes for a more "realistic", almost live-action level of verisimillitude, TT is a much more stylized, loosey-goosier, anime-inspired comedy/action hybrid....(and yes, TT is patently aimed at the younger edge of the 6-11 year old spectrum, JLU at the older)....would TT be better if it were more "realistic"? some people here still seem to think so, but i sure don't....would JLU even WORK AT ALL with the fourth-wall-breaking chibi stuff, etc? it's POSSIBLE, i suppose, but i can't imagine it....
anyhow, it's totally cool to prefer one show over the other, for whatever reason, but i think the "two different animals" argument IS kinda valid....
and since when do people "avoid publicly saying one is better than the other"? have you READ these threads? ;)

Actually, that was probably just me pondering aloud what I should really start doing. Even thought that one time I compared them was only meant to be faux-meanspirited, not actually mean spirited, well, people still got miffed.
But I'm sure you don't mind hearing praise for TT either. If JLU is your baby, then since your name was on the TT credits, (at least the first two seasons,) That sort of makes it your nephew or something. I don't know. That or it's like that one episode of Freakazoid: Wakko Warner, Brain, and Freakazoid were all wondering who was "Stevens" favorite, and when they get to Speilberg's office, he says, "Who are you people?" I'll stop babbling now.

Damn, I never saw that episode. How I miss those wonderful Warner Brothers cartoons....
:crying:
Anyway, my favorite show is TT. Sure, JLU has epic storylines and rich continuity, but so many of the characters these days are flat. I mean, really, what's the point of having 50 some odd members of the Justice League if the only reason they show up is to be eye candy or fire support? If this were really going to work, make me care about someone beyond the original seven (or I guess six). Green Arrow, Supergirl, and Booster Gold have all gotten good character time, but for the most part it's just random appearances by random heroes I neither know about nor care about.
Teen Titans, by contrast, makes me care about all of the heroes. I know Robin, Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven, and Cyborg so well it's nearly intimate, and if there's something I've missed I'm sure I'll learn it soon enough. More than that, Teen Titans isn't about a bunch of superheroes so much as it's about the relationships people form with their friends and enemies, and these binding ties have always been examined and re-examined thorougly in every TT episode, often to excellent effect.
Oh, and Slade pwns every villain in the JLU, ever. Except for the Joker and Luthor. And yes, this includes the government conspiracy.
Hell, Slade IS the government conspiracy. We'll end the debate right here with that.

I actually KNOW which one is better, OFFICIALLY, with out a doubt, I know which is better. It was told to me by a higher power, and what I am about to say is pure FACT.
JUSTICE LEAGUE IS BETTER THAN TEEN TITANS.
There you have it. You asked, and now, you have your answer.
and, if i may add, that TT is quite honestly, imo, complete swarbage, except for the occasional cool design, action sequence, or some other superficial element. It's complete fodder for the market place. It's slick, its pretty, it does what it has to do, and that's it. Imo, its boring, soulless, and completely rides the coat-tails of JL AND Bruce Timm design theory, AND every other dcau show to date. It's an imitation. The dialogue is actually corny, imo, worse than JLUs'. It's a poor show, imo, and Im not saying that because its not serious or whatever, i'm saying that because i think it's a bad show and uses this whole "ohh, i'm a silly show with potty jokes and stupid dialogue, angle" as a way to mask the fact that its a bad show.
It simply takes anime cliches, yes, TOTAL CLICHES. Geez, any true anime fan would and should be TOTALLY BORED by the anime swips used in this show, and also swips design theories used by others, and re-packages it into the perfect money making show. TEEN!!! TEEN!!! POTTY JOKE!! CUTSIE!! ANIME!!! OHHH, LOOK, WE KNOW ABOUT ANIME!! YESS, ANIME EXISTS AND WE KNOW IT AND ARE EVEN USING SOME OF THE MOST TRITE EXAMPLES OF IT!!
Give me a break. Its pure fluff. JL and JLU is miles ahead of this show. No comparison.
peace.
PS--please please please, if there are any TT creators browsing these boards, dont take offense by what i just said. I'm sure there are some who like the show a lot, i'm just not one of them, and often exagerate to make my points clear. A lot of what i said, while based on my true feelings of the show, were actually exagerated.
PPS--One thing i will say, to TT's credit, is that the animation is quite consistant, from what i've seen, and honestly, often is better than JL/JLU's. Thats speaking strictly technically. Not design, just how smooth the animation is and how well the characters keep shape, on model, etc. Anyone know why that is? Does it have a higher budget? Surely the JLU crew must know the animation house that does TT, or one that is just as good. What's the deal? Like, with JLU you have an ep like FTMWHE, which had stunning animation, and then you have an ep like "Ultimatum". TT seems to have consistantly high quality animation, by CN standards, where as JLU is such a mixed bag. Why? Could you imagine if all the JLU eps were animated like FTMWHE? hmmm....any insights?

Teen Titans!
The Reasons Why I Chose "Teen Titans":
1. I love the captivating personalities of the characters. Each member of the Teen Titans possesses an endearing charm and his or her own adorable idiosyncrasies. They are just loveable characters. Beast Boy is the only one that occasionally annoys the hell out of me.
2. Robin totally rocks. His appearance, demeanor and style of fighting are reminiscent of Bruce Lee. Both of them are gracile and diminutive, but they are intrepid fighters. Robin also reminds me of myself. We are both meticulous, obsessive, impliable, and hypercompetitive. I understand his mentality.
3. The designs and animation for the series are absolutely spectacular. Everything flows gracefully and conspicuous flaws are a rarity. Also, I love the fight scenes. Cyborg's battle with Brother Blood in "Wavelength" looks like it was taken out of a Chinese martial arts movie. And Robin's fights are always really cool.
4. The opening theme is awesome. Larry's version is the best. I am sure that many people hate it. I think it's just hella funny.
The Reasons Why I Didn't Choose "Justice League":
1. When an episode doesn't involve Batman, I don't enjoy it as much. I never watch the reruns of episodes without Batman.
2. The Justice League doesn't have a single Chinese hero. I mean, come on! There are more than a billion Chinese people on the earth and there are no Chinese heroes in the Justice League? Where's affirmative action when you need it?
I'm just joking. I really enjoy "Justice League." I just like "Teen Titans" more.
Maybe I'm shallow for adoring the FLCL/Gorillaz-inspired style of animation. Maybe I prefer stylized violence over the more graphic stuff. Or maybe, just maybe, I enjoy character study episodes where I learn a little more about how and why the heroes act the way they do...and being able to more closely relate to them than I would to, say, The Question. :p (Although, he is one of my favorite JLU characters!) At least, that's how it is for me, and its' why I like Teen Titans just a little bit more than JLU.

Seriously, though, I was kind of in the same boat regarding TT to begin with, and it took a good episode to win me over. If you just watched the first few episodes and gave up, you might not have seen how good the show can really be.
Well, i honestly dont want to offend anyone who may be involved with TT. Lots of people who work on the DCAU shows seem to browse these boards, and i really do respect all of them, even the TT crew. I dont want their experiences on these boards to be negative and stuff, BUT i also dont want to sugar coat anything or not say what i feel. It can be tricky.
Anyway, i did INITIALLY watch only the first season, i saw about 1/2 of it, before i gave up on TT. BUT recently i have been watching new episodes here and there before JLU, and yeah, its better than i remember, BUT its still not anything to brag about imo. I've seen maybe 3 new episodes (or atleast new to me) in the past couple months. Not a lot, but enough to know i dont care for this show, and it is, imo, utter swarbage.
I DO want to see the future episode w/ nightwing though. still havent caught it, but havent made much effort, so. AND i saw half of Saturday's ep, and want to see the whole thing, NOT because i thought it was a quality show (it was way too childish, i didnt even know it was a tt ep at first, i thought i was watching animaniacs or something), BUT i love magic and magicians, so i really do want to catch the whole ep.
JLU is better people. accept it. it is WAY better, without any doubt. Its in a completely different league. peace.

I DO want to see the future episode w/ nightwing though.That's the one that turned me, along with the Terra episodes. Season 2 had quite a few good ones, but season 3 has been a stinker so far. The only episode I could be bothered to watch all the way through is probably "X".

You didn't like 'Haunted', Supremus?Yes, Haunted was quite good, actually. I forgot that one. I also thought Spellbound was OK, but it was a wasted opportunity not to let Raven keep all her new powers. Apart from those, it's been a pretty lean season, and Brother Blood doesn't impress me.

Yes, Haunted was quite good, actually. I forgot that one. I also thought Spellbound was OK, but it was a wasted opportunity not to let Raven keep all her new powers.That's the main problem I have with TT--the characters don't really evolve. "Spellbound" was a perfect opportunity for Raven's character to be furthered, but instead, she's right back where she was before. I think it would have been more successful as a 1st season episode, but I would hope that by the 3rd season, Raven would realize that she has friends in the Titans.
There was a similar problem with "Aftershock" in that Beast Boy got over Terra too quickly. He was back to normal in the next episode! I thought John Stewart's time away from Hawkgirl was handled better with the "Shayera!" comment in "Initiation," the beginning of "The Return" and of course, his slightly more militaristic attitude (he'd become kind of a softy in the 2nd season).
Needless to say, I think the TT team has done a great job with the Robin/Slade feud, because we see Robin's anger increasing over time, rather than regressing or disappearing completely the way many character developments in TT do.

Yes, I agree, Slade was the best thing to happen to Teen Titans. Granted, I still love the show to death... but it's seemed... lessened, somehow, since his departure. I know we needed a break from him after the excellent Robin and Terra arcs, but now it's been long enough that I'm missing his subterfuge, his cunning, his brilliant strategies, and of course, his rich, chilling voice.
Brother Blood can't cut it. Red X is incredible and brilliant, but he's far too personal a villain to substitute. Blackfire doesn't come close. Trigon, for all his wicked might, will not be able to measure up.
Slade is the ultimate Teen Titans villain, and he'd better show up again in Season 4. Or at the very least, he'd better be their final fight.
Many villains have tried, over the years, to defeat the Titans. But Slade is the only villain who could ever break the Titans. And if they're too weak or off-guard, then he will. :evil:
Meh, speaking as an outsider who only watches TT when it happens to be on.... Im not that interested in Slade anymore, Mad Mod is the best villian so far because his episodes are fun. But I might actually develop an ongoing interest in the show if they did a really cool Red X storyline. There is potential there, bigtime.
JL/U, there's no contest. I've seen a few episodes of Titans with my nephews (they LOVE it), and it drove me nuts. It's too young for me.

I watch both religiously but there is no question that the show I can’t live with out is, JLU/JU.
It’s just a richer show that has tons of depth to it, which I find engrossing.
