In terms of manga, I've already got this months issue of Shonen Jump, and I will be getting Prince of Tennis Vol. 5 and Case Closed Vol. 3 for certain. I'm also thinking of getting the entire Whistle series.

I've always wanted to get one of those manga digests (the ones that collect some issues in a small book), but I wasn't sure which one to get. So many genres, so many choices, how could I decide? Then, at a Suncoast in my local mall, totally on a whim, I picked up Mermaid Saga. I was aware of what the concept of this manga was, but I picked it up anyway. There were some really powerful images. I was pleasantly surprised.

Still, I could stand to search for a better manga with mythological beings like mermaids, angels, genies, faries, etc. Any suggestions?

How the hell do you get all the money for that, leftover christmas money? Would it make you feel any better if I told you I also just ordered Big O season 1 and 2, Outlaw Star box set, and Jubei-Chan Special Edition DVD Set from Right Stuff?(I decided to get into that Bandi sale on the last day). I also bought Batman the Animated Series season two box set at Best Buy last Sunday.

While I do buy large quantity of manga every time I visit my local comic book store. I have been buying more than usual because I've been working overtime the past two months. I just have a lot of extra money right now. It's probably going to change because it's about time I start getting annual expenses. (Car registration, smog certificate, taxes, etc.)

Heck my collection rivals Galvatron's for sheer size, although most of it is boxxed until the closet is all cleaned out and the shelves assembled. Though i did recently aquire all the released components for the Transformers Energon Combiners(Superion,Bruticus, Constructicon).

Usualy I take advantage of sales and other stuff that involves getting more for less...

I can't really think of too many like that. There is a manga called Angel/Dust that has been running in Newtype USA for a year or so, but I don't think it has been collected into a graphic novel yet. You may also want to try a volume or two of Inu-Yasha. It's by the same author as Mermaid Saga, and has quite a japanese style fantasy setting.
