No one seems to have posted this but since Tom and Jerry did not air in both it's 2:00pm and 11:30pm time slots Friday (to be fair, it never airs Friday nights), Cartoon Network decided to show three redubbed Mammy cartoons
Dog Trouble (1942)
Triplet Trouble (1952)
The Midnight Snack (1941)
Nice that they aired Triplet Trouble, since I needed a cleaner version of it. If they air Nit Witty Kitty tonight, I'll kiss the sky.

Yeah, I posted it earlier this morning. I usually post the 3am Bugs & Daffy and the 3:30am Tom & Jerry in the same post (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?threadid=13009) to save time and space. Hopefully you also caught the rare WB shorts on Bugs & Daffy last night.

I'm thrilled they aired it!! But what happened to Mammy's last line? They muted it out?

Yes, Mammy's final line was muted:
"It say here, a sharp blow on 'da head, is a sho' cure fo' amnesia! And 'dat's just what he's gonna git!"

I wonder why this line was gone? The cartoon still makes sense without it, but there was no reason to edit it.
I really dont mind the redubbed versions, although I think her voice in Push Button Kitty is the worst. She doesnt have to slowly say everything in perfect english. Many white cartoon characters have a difficult time speaking english, like Fred Flinstone. "No feedin', no fussin', no fur", becomes "No feediNG, no fussiNG, no fur." Is that really that important to make her as literate as possible? Trying to make Mammy's voice PC ends up taking way to much time and her dialouge usually isnt in sync with the action.

Couldn't they have just re-dubbed that line with the "tamer" Mammy voice, like they did with the rest of the cartoon?

Maybe they just forgot to. I'm just thankful that CN is showing these cartoons. I'm guessing Part Time Pal or Old Rockin' Chair Tom will air next week.
Why doesnt CN show the Cinemascope remakes?

They probably decided it's better to run the original than run an awful pan and scan print.

Well, they show MILLIONAIRE DROOPY occasionally, which is a Cinemascope remake of WAGS TO RICHES.
