All three T&J cartoons featured the redubbed Mammy.

Yeah, it's too bad I missed the Bugs and Daffy showings. However, the Blockbuster Video in my area still has a copy of "Bugs and Daffy, the Wartime Cartoons", so I at least have seen the three cartoons that aired.

I had a sneaky suspicion that rare Tom and Jerry cartoons would air Friday night, as it seems CN has really been nice to us lately. I'm so hoping some more rare Tom and Jerry cartoons air tonight.

Though I guess we should be grateful we see Mammy shorts at all, the redubbed voice simply meshes poorly with the music track. and sounds pretty phony. For the record I'm white, my mom's people are from Alabama, and there are plenty of white women down that way whose accents/grammar are just as bad as any colored woman's.

Note Tom alerts Mammy in "Midnight Snack" to what's going on in the kitchen by sniffing and disgustedly throwing a piece of cheese away, where it hits some glassware and breaks it. That struck me as odd because cats adore cheese--anything diary is jake with them.

I also thought it was odd to see Spike chasing Jerry in "Dog Trouble", as he's usually Jerry's biggest and most loyal protector. Dogs generally don't chase mice, either, though they aren't adverse to eating their dead bodies if they find one.

You had me scared there...but luckily I have those already, 2 from CN and one on one of those MGM "moviestars" tapes with daffy Duck.
