A Voice of Reason on the Simpsons

After the tragedy of Sept. 11, Hollywood have gone nuts trying to overprotect us; and one way that they've done so is by removing TV episodes from syndication deals. An example (the only example that I can think of, anyway) was the reports that network executives were taking two Simpson episodes off the air: The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson and New Kids on the Blecch.

Well, my FOX affiliate just aired both of them this week. I'm glad that cooler heads prevailed.

Well, I wouldn't mind if they never aired that episode again.

I may hate N`synch,but new kids on the blecch had my favorite scene ever in a simpsons episode: the general`s idea that hippied will ride a giant mantis to wreak havoc.

Was that the scene that actually resulted in the fuss?
