the story is about a post-appocalyptic worlds where worlds have collided with lots of weird creatures running about Earth, they both feature a dictatorial earth goverment with mutated footsoldiers as there task force, and both centere aorund alrge decaying ictys with a huge citadel soaring in the sky which both look VERY smilar. And both end with a lone rebel inspiring the people to revolt and lead an assault on the citadel which ends up iwth it nealry toppling down.

Did the developers even SEE Urotsukidoji?

If not, it's a big coincidence!

If HL2 rip off Urotsukidoji... What about the tentacles... and the women...

...I don't need to get into it anymore.

I'd say that Half Life 2 ripped off Urokotsokodoji as much as Disney's Atlantis ripped off Nadia (hint: they didn't (http://utd500.utdallas.edu/%7Ehairston/atlantis.html)).

Seriously, that description is so vague and generic that I can see this as nothing more than coincidence. Unless there's a specific example in which you 110% can't deny that it's a rip off, then I'll believe it.

I still maintain that if Half-Life was also a hentai game, it'd be a lot more enjoyable...

They took out the Hydra (blue ethereal tentacle monster) from the game because Valve couldn't get it working just right and/or the part of the game it was in was removed or altered because it was boring.

And remember often when you think one group is ripping of another group the truth is that both groups are ripping off a common source.

Full Throttle? I played the demo of that and I've been wanting to play the full version ever since! :(

Last I checked, the game was included with LUCASARTS ARCHIVES VOL. 3 but that's out of print! :crying:

Because we all know a Sci-Fi story about a post-apoctolyptic world is so incredibly original.

Yeah, virtually all of Half-Life 2's story elements can be found strewn across literally thousands of other sci-fi stories, so saying it's story was ripped off from any one (rather obscure) place is pretty silly.

Lord Dalek, sometimes you make me want to aim some firepower in your direction and make you dance a Grim Fandango.

That was such a great game. I wish I had the soundtrack.
