I, personally, think it would be awesome to have a GA spinoff, maybe if not for Cartoon Network, for TBS. Green Arrow's comic is incredible, and if they were able to pull it off, maybe on Adult Swim or TBS's adult cartoon block, that would be awesome! What do you guys think?

I'd personally prefer to see Green Lantern: The Animated Series. You could have Kyle Rayner (voiced by Will Friedle:D ) and set it up so it shows his adventures in space. You could have Katma Tui make appearances, Kilowog should have a role, John Stewart could even make a cameo. I think a GL series would be awesome. A Green Arrow spinoff does not appeal to me. Besides, a GA spinoff would have fans clamoring for appearnaces by Batman. There would be absolutely no reason for Batman to appear on a GL series set in space.
Oh, and you could have an episode where Kyle returns to Earth and teams up with his buddy. . . THE FLASH, seeing as how Flash is not currently doing much of anything on JLU.

This is about Green Arrow not the Green Lantern. Besides where would your story fit? Kyle Raner is up somewhere on Oa, and he looks like a Commander or General the way he acted in The Return. No solo = no fun.
The GA however has potential. He is like batman, but he is has no money and is a lot more friendly, though both has the lone wolf streaks. Depends on writing. I mean with The Batman, they were able to mess us one of the world's greatest franchises.

GREEN ARROW: TAS? No, thanks.
Although I admit to being surprised at how much I enjoyed the animated GA (a character I disliked in comics) I would have no interest in seeing him solo. I would, however, have liked to see him get more attention in JLU, and if they hadn't gone with such an unfocused premise, and had just intro'd a few new characters, maybe that could have happened.
Now WONDER WOMAN: TAS I would sell my soul for.

Personally, I'd like to see a Hard Hitting Heroes series. Oliver Queen has already lost his fortune, Speedy has already left to become Arsenal (so new fans won't automatically see parallels with Batman), Black Canary is his on-again/off-again girlfriend who makes frequent cameos, and he's forged a friendship with Kyle Rayner. And if it takes place in the same continuity as JLU, then I say they throw in a few appearances by The Question! They could be globe-trotting heroes, finding a new crime in a new part of the world everyday.

I realize this is about Green Arrow and not Green Lantern. I believe I simply stated that I would prefer a Green Lantern series. And like I stated, the GL series could take place off in space, exploring Rayner's adventures on Oa and in other sections of the universe. And it would work as a solo series, with appearances by Katma, Kilowog, and the Guardians. It would not have to tie into the Timm DCAU continuity, in fact, I'd prefer it go the route of Teen Titans as far as continuity. Start a new, separate one.

I chose "I Like Chili" because of Oliver Queen's chili recipie. Damn, that's exquisite!

I think GA is a loser, he should just carry around a gun, be a lot more effective.

I think GA is a loser, he should just carry around a gun, be a lot more effective. You'd probably like Arsenal, then. He carries both guns and arrows.
Arrows and a bow are a little safer, though. When you're dealing with a gun, it might accidentally go off. Stray bullets could hit the wrong target. Plus bullets are freaking expensive.
When you're dealing with a bow and arrows, you tend to put more effort into your aiming than with a gun. If you don't want your bow to accidentally go off, then you can just put the arrow back in the quiver. It doesn't need a safety. You won't be firing them in rapid succession, so you don't have to worry about losing track of your arrows and hitting the wrong person. And if you run out of ammo, it's a lot easier to use your bow as a weapon, than to pistol-whip someone in hand-to-hand.
Plus Green Arrow has those dandy little trick arrows of his, which can take someone out without necessarily sending them to the hospital. And who could forget the classic (and possibly cliche) rope-tied-to-an-arrow trick?

If they got Kevin Smith (Green Arrow: Quiver) in on it, it could rock. I recommend that book to every GA fan 13 and over! :)

I'm game for any spinoff of the Bruce Timm & Co. DCAU (B:TAS/TNBA, S:TAS, JL/JLU, BB), as long as it stays within established continuity. :D

Dunno. He's cool & all, but I'm not sure he could carry a show on his own.
Incidentally, this gave me an idea for a new thread. 'Scuse me.

I think GA is a loser, he should just carry around a gun, be a lot more effective. I had always had a problem with GA (or any superhero archer, for that matter) simply on the basis that being an archer doesn't seem very practical. An archer is fine for pre-planned or distance fighting, but in an upclose melee they would have their face smashed in before notching their second arrow. I always though GA's most believable comic moment was in THE NAIL when Amazo pounded his head into the dirt.
JLU did a surprisingly good job of making me 'buy' GA's effectiveness, with his fluidity and speed of using his weapons. Sure, it's not really believable, but neither is a guy swinging from rooftops without dislocating his shoulders. But it was done well enough that I was able to gladly suspend disbelief.
I'd watch. Green Arrow is an interesting character who, if handled properly (e.g., not mirroring Batman) could carry his own show.

But then he'd lose his gimmick and be just another wannabe action hero running around with a gun.

I don't think he's that great. If he did get his own show I don't think it would last very long.

No. He wouldn't have enough stamina for an entire series.
Not to mention only people who read the comics would care, how much appeal does he have to kids?

I would kill to see Hard Traveling heroes updated in a BTAS animation style set in the past. BTAS could even be referenced... but a show? up until recently he hasn't ever been able to hold his own title long and he doesn't really have the rouges to make the show interesting. I'd watch because I like GA, but IF we could only have one new Timmverse DCAU I would want Green Lantern...

I don't know if the qualities that made Hard Travelling Heroes great would translate that well to an animated show with a kids audience. It would be great if it could be done right, but it's probably a better mini-series than a full 52 episodes run.
