Remember when Flash asks if there's a Hawkboy? She didn't say answer which leads me to think that Hawkman is either her husband and maybe he will be shown in a future episode. Opinions?

Another thing about hawk girl is that she was supposedly teleported to earth with no way home ( i beleive that is supposed to be her backstory). So how come she hasn't went back to Thanagar? Not only does the Justice League have a ship capable of space travel but it has a member ( John Stewert ) that can take her home. I'd be interested to know her current reason for staying.

That is so true. I hope they explain why she hasn't tried to return home.

Maybe she has been on earth for a long time and has grown to like it? >shrug<

Could be that Thanagar (at least for this series) is out side of the Leagues current means of transportation. Who knows? The galaxy is a big place and the Javelin 7 only gets so many miles to the gallon. :p

Hush your mouths... Don't go wrecking Hawkgirl's spotlight eps before they even get around to making them!
(Although I would love to know what kind of batteries she uses in that mace, and which Radio Shack she got it from... :D )

Maybe she's on the run from Hawkman...

I doubt it. Green Lanterns are pretty widespread, and if Superman can fly to the remains of Krypton I'm pretty sure that they could get to Thanagar.

The possibilities that I can think of:

1) She has been banished from Thanagar.

2) She doesn't want to return for some reason. Maybe fear or just preferring Earth. I find it kind of hard to think of something that she would be afraid of though.

We will just have to wait for Hawkgirl's episode, which hopefully won't be too far off. But once GL's story finishes, we have to go through at least Aquaman's story before we hear about the other members.

There are a number of reasons.

She said something along the lines of: "My homeworld Thanagar is a war-like world. There one must strike first or die." Probably fear. But she's also a detective. She could be tracking a villian (come on... say it! Byth!) and can't come home till she's apprehended him.

--she's a widow. Though I'd hate to see her becoming a chasing-down-the-crapheel-who-killed-my-lover Lifetime B-movie chiche. I'm rather starting to like her. Like I said, chicks with edge...yowza.

maybe she just likes earth more.

where else in the world can you get good old pizza and chinese food these days! :D

I wouldn't mind if she's a widow. I hate to say it, but I'm not too keen on Hawkman showing up anytime soon.

Believe me I'm in no rush to see any other heroes. I just wanna see more villains. I can't wait to see Mongul and Solomon Grundy.

I was under the impression that "Last Son of Krypton" put Krypton in a star system fairly close to our own. Besides why would Jor-El send his son halfway across the galaxy to Earth if there were closer planets with environments that that could support Kal-El just fine. It's not as if he did it because Earth is mostly harmless. ;)

And while true that the GL corps are widespread it's still quite possible that no member has been to Thanagar yet. Or it could be that no one want's to go there as the planet's seen as small insignificant speck in the universe (or they just discourage tourism ;)). I mean how much interest was our planet to the rest of the galaxy before alien scientists started hurtling their children here on one way trips and intergalactic despots decided to make this planet their next conquest? :D

The real questions, however, are where in the galaxy is Thanagar located? And if Hawkgirl can get back, why doesn't she?

I was under the impression that (according to Timm or one of the other producers) Hawkgirl was sent to Earth against her will and had no way to return.

The simple fact of the matter is....The ppl in charge wanted more than just Wonder Woman to represent the female half of the population, therefore - HawkGirl. I wouldn't mind seeing Batgirl or Oracle though....

Oracle's a character I've always wanted to see in animation, and I think would be invaluable to any Justice League, but it'd be really hard to do it in animation, thanks to our friends the censors. Her beginnings are just way too violent for cartoons. However, Timm and Co. are a creative bunch.

Really? I was under the impression that it wasn't--if you watch the pilot you see baby Kal-El's ship traveling through a wormhole to get to Earth. That says "distance" to me.
