View Full Version : The Return of Escaflowne??

After reading the headlines on the homepage, I was ecstatic and somewhat hopeful upon learning that Escaflowne might return to Fox Kids. I realize its only one of many options for Fox Kids, but its more news then I've heard in the past year. Does anyone else think its likley that Fox Kids will bring back Escaflowne during the course of rearranging their programming?

I don't think I want them to, after I saw how badly they mutilated "Vision of Escaflowne". I think it should go to a better network, like CN.

Did anybody see the Escaflowne movie ?
it wasn't as good as the series, but the artwork was far better.

if escaflowne ever goes to cn, will it be the horrible fox kids version?? hopefully that hacked up pile of !@#$!@ will never see the light of day again.

We got the whole (Fox-edited) series on YTV.

I liked it. Then again, I've never seen the original.

If the series ever makes it to CN they should get the original Ocean dub and all the episodes (with some minor editing) and all the original music. Not the horribly butchered version that aired on Fox kids. Of course Fox has a deathgrip on the broadcast rights for about another three years. :(

On the DVDs, is it the Fox version or a respectable version?

i'm not sure, but i would guess its the original sub version w/ an unedited english version. im pretty sure thats whats on the dvd. it would say on it "fox kids" version, or edited version if they were using the crap version, sort of like how the tenchi tapes are labeled "cartoon network version".

It would be interesting to see it again, but I have the original version, and the Fox Kids version made me want to cry :( They edited a lot out, and they didn't even show the first episode (at least, I don't think they did). It would be better suited for CN. Perhaps it would be less edited there.
