Cartoon Network has once again updated their online schedule (which you can access at http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv/schedule.html), and heeding to the mass demands for more vintage material, has decided to bump their new currently unnamed vintage block, which will air after Adult Swim, from January 6th to December 2nd.
It's most likely an attempt to spruce things up, due to Williams Street being tied up making new episodes of their "Lab" shows, which they are still catching up to.
Either way, Cartoon Network is giving you a reason to skip sleep.
For those that haven't read the original news post, I'm sure at least that most of you know that The Popeye Show currently airs after Bebop.
What you may not know is that CN is rehashing the late night schedule to provide even more nostalgia for weary-eyed souls that just can't seem to get to sleep.
At 1:30, Cartoon Network will air Yogi Bear segments, a show that has not been on the network for a loooong time, outside of Cartoon Theatre.
At 2 am, Huckleberry Hound will return, a show that has also previously only been shown through Cartoon Theatre movies.
At 2:30 am, place your bets, because Wacky Races is coming. Previously only on Boomerang, Wacky Races is about a hodgepodge of Hanna Barbera stars battling it out in a Cannonball-Run-esque race across America.
At 3 am, Quick Draw McGraw returns, having enjoyed a long break from the network, outside of an interstital by Mo Willems.
At 3:30 am, Top Cat comes back, a Cartoon Theatre mainstay until just recently, to sweep you off your feet with his rugged charm.
At 4 am, The Ruff and Ready Show, previously only on Boomerang, debuts in this little block.
At 4:30, the one, the only, Atom Ant crawls into the block, and by this time, you must be really, reallly, reaaaaally, tired.
If you're not still asleep by then, the block is capped off by The Flintstones and Scooby Doo.
This is great news for Hanna-Barbera enthusiasts and anyone who still has yet to get Boomerang in their area, so be sure and support this new block by at least watching some of the shows before heading off to bed.
