See this? Well, I have not heard from this person (just e-mailed him? a few minutes ago) in the 8 days since this auction closed. Up to now(and in the 2 auctions that ended after this one), I've gotten replies and payments out in half that time...

I'd say give the seller a week and then e-mail him agian. I once e-mailed someone at an Amazon auction about a Lady Chattterley's Lover movie (not looking to buy, as it was way out of my budget, and most folks probably wouldn't pay $250 for one videotape) and got my response in minutes. On the same note, as a writer I often have to mail publishers about the status of manuscripts I've sent them, and often they accomodate me within a few weeks, days, or even hours...yet I have one or two deadbeats who have been on my overdue list for much longer (one particular rag has been on my red list since Aug 21 of last year!). So in short, exercise patience....

Do you know this guy is corresponding and sending out stuff to other people who've been recently purchasing things?
In my varied online experiences, sometimes you just gotta be patient with private parties. You have no idea what this guy is going thru. It could be he's on vacation for Thanksgiving and forgot, or he could be going thru some hard times, or his computer crashed, or you just never know. I'd wait until you actually hear from him before leaving negative feedback. If it gets to be two weeks or so, report him first to Ebay and see what they suggest. Leaving negative feedback (not that you said you were going to but I am just saying) is the LAST thing you want to do. I only left negative feed back once for an ebay user, and that was the worst experience ever. But to get into that story would be rambling and pointless.
I hope you get the auction settled soon, tho.

In my auctions, I state very clearly that the person has to get payment to me in 7-10 days. I rarely hold anyone to that, but it gives me an out with the deadbeats. If I dn't hear from someone in 7 days, I request a non-paying bidder alert with ebay. If I don't hear anything after that, I wait the required 10 days, then request my final value fee credit and leave negative feedback. I've left probably 20-30 negatives on ebay so far - there are a lot of deadbeats out there.

The longest I waited was about a month. I should have left negative feedback but decided against it. I did get the item ultimately.
Try emailing him again. He may be on holiday (had that happen once) or he may have absent mindedly erased your e-mail. I'd wait a week and if no response, then take it up with eBay and see if they can get any action. Good luck.

I'd email them a couple more times, and if you dont get a response in another week or so, negative feedback time.
