Supergirl Beyond

Since I have a little extra creative juice between issues of DKA, I've decided to spend it on yet another Batman Beyond era character design.
This time it's everyone's favourate Superman tagalong, Kara Zor'El (looking very Cher for a 56 year old)

Well that was the intention, to make her look older and fully grown.
I might have overdone it on the height a little but it doesn't bother me that much.
...however your judgement may be thrown off by the fact that in the BOP photo, her feet aren't actually touching the ground. ;)

Well I didn't put too much thought into who she was. She could just as well be an original character we've never seen before or possibly a Batman Beyond adaptation of the new Cassandra Cain Batgirl.

However, out of the two you suggested I think Melanie would be the most likely choice, given that she already has some of the skills, some character threads that could become motivations for taking up the mask and that Dana is just a high school kid with a personal connection to Terry. She's about as likely to wear the cowl as Lois Lane is to wear the cape.

Ok, here's another take on Kara in a different costume, this time a bit younger, closer to the JLU timeframe.

I wanted her to look more badass, a little more mature than the other designs.
You can use your imagination in regards to the origins/backstory. It could either be a depiction of the "Justice Lord" universe's incarnation of Kara or a DCAU interpretation of the electric powers story from the Superman comics (I don't read comics so I'm not well versed in the ins and outs of that) or just a mid-point in Kara's career, say around the "Rebirth" Prologue segment.
