Hey. 70-30 Productions is looking for someone on this board who:
1) Hates Sealab
2) Lives in Atlanta
3) Would like to do a commentary track for an episode on the upcoming Sealab Season III DVD release, wherein you can feel free to totally trash the show.
We're calling it "Commentary of Hatred."
Thanks!

Curses. I'm nowhere near Atlanta. It'd be great to trash a show that's about as much fun as going to a dentist with halitosis who cracks lame jokes while drilling your teeth without anesthetic. (^_*)

It's wonderful how Adam asks for people who live in Atlanta and a bunch of people post about how they don't live in Atlanta. I'm sure it's very useful.

I live in Atlanta, and I hate only the new episodes of Sealab. Does that count?

To atleast stay on topic... this is actually a really cool oppurtunity for any Sealab haters in Atlanta.

[half-serious, half-joking]
I'd be willing to fly out (paying my own airfare of course,) if I got a look at how the show was made at 70-30, and I got to interview the 70-30 crew for ToonZone.net. I just need to know when I'd need to be out there and whether Knux could drive me out to 70-30 and give me a place to stay.
But trash an episode of Sealab? Shoot, I'd commentary the whole of season 2 if it meant I got my other requests.

The world shuts down on Sunday. Naturally, the city goes quiet... as everyone nurses their Saturday night hangovers.
Unless the Falcons are playing.

Getting back on topic myself, the truth is, it's too expensive to fly and it's probably even more expensive to drive out to the ATL. I'd love to do it, because it'd be fun to do a biting, sarcastic commentary over the show, and because I'd like to interview the 70-30 team and get a better view of the process. But hey, at 300 bucks just for airfare, I'm just not that hot on it really. Somewhere in the ATL, there has gotta be one angry, preferably articulate Sealab hater, and I can only hope he's willing to step up. Or Knux could just front like he hates the show. That works too.

My sister's husband drove from Seattle to the other side of the states. It can be done. Takes a while though. And some serious cash for gas money.

hmm. You know I could easily just do the commentary from home. All I need to know is which sealab episode you want a commentary for, I'll record it off TV, I'll cue it up and do irate commentary while watching it (yay for home studio setups and spare vcrs and tvs) and then burn a disc with the commentary and send it to you guys. heck, that way, you could have numerous irate commentaries from people all over the place. I'll gladly do it for free and sign any and all waivers. Sounds like fun to me atleast. Something to do during winter break too.

You know what's the most ironic and amusing thing of this whole thread is? The point was to find someone who disliked Sealab, when we've basically written a plot to one of it's episodes.

Great, now that's stuck with me also. Cause Bisuke's the name of a character in Hunter x Hunter and she's important. And THIS girl is a breakfast mutant. Nice job guys!
Moral of the story: animes have really dumb character names.

Man, seems like just last week I was ranting about the Sealab hate on this board, I guess it wasn't totally in my imagination.
So is this inspired by the new Matrix box set that has the commentary track by the Matrix-haters? Because I almost bought that set just for that track, so I think this is an awesome Idea.
Also, I don't live in Atlanta.
Yeah, this could easily be a Sealab episode...Maybe we should do the commentary by commite too, just make it a thread... it could be like the subtitles at the beginning of the Quest for the Holy Grail or something...

Gah! I hate it when people call it that. If you lived here, you wouldn't either. The only thing "hot" about Atlanta is the sweaty summer heat.
Hey, 70-30 -- I wouldn't say I "hate" Sealab (I'm no "hata" on much of anything), but I don't really care for it at all since the late-great Harry Goz passed. I'd be thrilled to have the chance to record some trash commentary. And I do live in Atlanta -- well, in Lawrenceville, actually, but I can be at CN HQ within 30 mins... um, allowing for traffic, of course.

Also, my fiance babysits for the Falcons players during home games. I am so not making this up -- she hasn't missed a Falcons' home game in 5 years. I might be able to score you guys tickets... although I can't make a promise on that (the sitters are on a waiting list for tix -- they get them only if Falcons' wives decide not to come), but it's still a possibility.
And a co-worker of mine's wife is the box office coordinator for Spivey Hall -- *that* I know I can score tickets for.
