New Boards: Month 1

Thirty days ago, we got these new boards up and going here. And I was just wondering what everybody on this board think of them so far. I plan to post this post on other boards so just reply to oneof these three threads, please. It'll also help me take rol-call. So any comments, good or bad, about the somewhat new boards are welcome!

I for one, love em'. The only thing I miss is..well, i knew I missed somthing..but I must not miss it much cuz I can't remember now..lol

:D Wonderful!!! (God, that sounds so English!!) These boards look great and are so much easier to read/use. The extra text editing and smileys are a treat, too!! Many congrats!:D

Of course I LOVE them! And you know, I don't even miss the branching of the replies any more. Now, it is so much easier to see a new reply when it gets posted. I'd miss a few days on the old boards, post a reply to an older thread, and nobody ever seemed to read the reply because their focus was at the top of the board. The focus is still towards the top, but when I make a reply, that goes to the top, thus increasing my chances for a reply!

The new boards are great! Simply amazing, and ten times better than the old boards! I have no complaints whatsoever!

I will click on view new posts option when I miss it for a while (which isn't too often, I pretty much have this board on my usual on line routine now!) and that makes it easier to see what posts you missed since last time you've been on. I don't know if it would have helped you much, though, Inque, as weren't you gone for about a week?

The fact that there is so much activity here (and not just on the Neverending Thread) I think shows how popular the new boards are.

If these boards ever shut down, say Dick gets his dream journalist job in the future and leaves and the rest of the mods kinda go their separate ways, and this board was no more...I don't know if I would be so quick to find another message board to post on. I am not saying this just to appease ears, but these boards are the best. I've been to others that are so blah and others that are so avoidable all together. Some boards I go to have maybe a new post every week if they are lucky, hardly anybody knows about them or cares enough to keep them going. And if these go, I wouldn't be up to the task of searching for a new board anytime too quickly!
