I know I'm thinking WAAYY ahead, but if there IS a Season 5, most likely it will be revolved around Starfire. This being said, that would automatically make Blackfire the main villain of the season.
My question is: Do you all think Blackfire can meet up to Slade's, Brother Blood's, and Trigon's standards? I mean, Blackfire doesn't look like she would be very threatening, and seeing as how she doesn't really have much beef with the Titans (seeing as how she doesn't bother them) but only Starfire, it would be like every eppy with her appearing in would be about Black getting Star alone or something like that.
If you ask me, I don't think Blackfire would be the best main villain unless they surprise THE HELL out of us and put in an entirely different villain from the comics or supe her up or something.
What are your speculations?

Well, "Betrothed" does make this premise a little difficult, but maybe it wouldn't have to be one villain per se that Star has to fight, but a situation. Like if Tamaran really is invaded in season five, she might be torn about staying on earth and wanting to go back and fight for her people. And maybe the Tamaranians have become a little resentful of the two princesses. One is just a criminal, and the other, Starfire, has utterly turned her back on her home world. (And not just choosing to stay on earth at the end of Betrothed. Sisters hints that the reason Star left in the first place was because of a Gordanian invasion.)

You know, a little story line that makes the choice between her people and her friends more desperate and urgent. (If the writers go in that direction, I bet they'll start to wish they hadn't done Betrothed.)

The creators have no desire to do an entire season about Starfire, as far as I know. There are still more stories to tell about Robin and the team in general, as well as the creative team's own ideas for story arcs and villains, I'm sure.

I wouldn't call her primary villain material... but I'd like to see the return of Kitten, if only just for one episode. She fared pretty well with Starfire unarmed - what could she do with, oh, Blackfire's help? Or maybe Kitten was just shouting revenge threats because she was angry. Well, if they bring Blackfire back again, I want Kitten back, too.
