Guy Gardener on JL instead of John Stewart?

Somehow I think Guy Gardener would have been better animated than John Stewart. Besides being military-like, there aren't many dimensions to his character. GG has rage, anger, wit, idiocy, a hidden softness AND military like attitude & more, all rolled up in one. And believe me, GG and Flash would play off of each other just as well as JS and Flash, maybe more so. I know the racial diversity was an issue, but we have three aliens and an Amazon. That goes beyond race, that's species. Whaddy'a think?

I don't mind John Stewart. I like his character. But for some reason if they decided to change Green Lanterns I would only want to see Kyle Rayner take his place. Even then i probably would still want John Stewart.
