This will be unbearable cool. All four animated shows...on at once...

If this is Kellner's doing, may I say, "THANK YOU, KELLNER."

At least, until he goes and does something stupid again. :)

WOW!!! That's great news! It's definitely the perfect time to air those shows (especially BTAS and TNBA). Now all I have to do is convince my parents to let me watch TV that late! :D

See ya!

Good job on it, BTW! I am honored to see you apart of our Toon Zone News team. You can bet we're the first site to have that up! I'm glad to see the series back. Man...Batman, Superman, Batman Beyond, AND Justice League all on at the same time, now....*drools*....

Thanks. I was lucky enough to be blessed with such a large flurry.

Most days are just really slow, but everyone seemed to all happen at once.

Plus the official offline January schedule was released this week, so that was a help too.

I also can't wait for the Batman vs. Superman contest. It'll be similar to the Powerpuff Popularity Contest, where episodes of the two shows are aired each night, with a phone number to dial in, or website, and then on Saturday, the 26th, the winner gets a 4 hour marathon... dunno if that marathon may be shortened or not. Even official schedules are tentative to change.

Yay!!! :D :D I wish the time was better, but that's OK, I can record 'em. I wonder, are they going to show them in order? CN usually does.

Yeah, great job Matt. I'm definitely excited to see "Batman," "Superman" "Batman Beyond" and "Justice League" all airing on Cartoon Network. Now, if Cartoon Network promoted "Batman" "Batman Beyond" and "Superman" when "Justice League" airs, that would kick arse!

Yes, you can guarantee that Cartoon Network will show them in their correct episode order.

While they are airing them in order, they apparently aren't starting off with the first season.

The first episode to air is #501: "On Leather Wings".

I dunno if that's from FOX or WB. But I think it might be from WB.

Perhaps they will air the FOX episodes too, after the WB episodes?

James Harvey

Actually, On Leather Wings is the first episode aired on FOX. I'm guessing they will air them in numerical order like before. They will also (hopefully) air all 109 episodes through. I don't think they've done that yet.

Here's the schedule for Batman/Superman. It doesn't air on Thursday or Friday due to Adult Swim and CCF. It does seem to go in regular order, except they're apparently airing The Main Man pt 1 and 2 back to back instead of airing it in the original order, in which there are two episodes that separate the parts. They do the same with Two Face, in which the parts were apparently separated by 6 episodes:

January 7th:
BATMAN #501 - On Leather Wings
SUPERMAN #1 - Last Son of Krypton

January 8th:
BATMAN #502 - Christmas With the Joker
SUPERMAN #2 - Last Son of Krypton(pt. 2)

January 9th:
BATMAN #503 - Nothing to Fear
SUPERMAN #3 - Last Son of Krypton(pt. 3)

January 14th:
BATMAN #504 - The Last Laugh
SUPERMAN #4 - Fun and Games

January 15th:
BATMAN #505 - Pretty Poison
SUPERMAN #5 - A Little Piece of Home

January 16th:
BATMAN #506 - The Under-Dwellers
SUPERMAN #6 - The Way of All Flesh

January 21st:
BATMAN #507 - P.O.V.
SUPERMAN #7 - Feeding Time

January 22nd:
BATMAN #508 - The Forgotten
SUPERMAN #8 - The Main Man(pt. 1)

January 23rd:
BATMAN #509 - Be a Clown
SUPERMAN #11 - The Main Man(pt. 2)

January 28th:
BATMAN #510 - Two Face(pt. 1)
SUPERMAN #9 - Stolen Memories

January 29th:
BATMAN #517 - Two Face(pt. 2)
SUPERMAN #10 - My Girl

January 30th:
BATMAN #511 - It's Never Too Late
SUPERMAN #12 - Tools of the Trade

Why'd it have to be 11pm-12am?? ::whaps head against wall:: Now I won't be able to record it and save it :(

I love it, I love it! 11pm-12am is the perfect timeslot (for me, anyways). The only problem is that I'll have to miss the Daily Show. Eh, it's on again at 1am.

Awsome now I can finally record them all I don't care if there in order I just want all the episodes And we get STAS :D

The time would be heck, but I got Direct TV, and on the West Coast it beams it 3 hours ahead. Plus, I got this handy new invention: The VCR. I've seen every episode of BTAS except for a few. And I haven't seen "Two-Face" since it first premiered. Yay!

Apparently, they are airing ALL of the episodes. This includes Batman: TAS, The New Adventures of Batman and Robin, The New Batman/Superman Adventures, and Superman.

It will take a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time to air all of these episodes, so you can be assured that Batman and Superman are here to stay. :)

:D :D :D They start four days after my birthday! What a wonderful gift!! :D :D :D

Guess I'd better stock up on tapes.

This is terrific. Since I don't trust Warners to release STAS on DVD any time soon, I can finally get those on tape.

And catch ones that keep eluding me. People tell me I'm not missing anything with "Unity," but would you believe "Legacy" has also eluded me thus far?

I believe it. It took me a while before I saw it.

I'd rathar UNITY was neevr made...but you GOTTA see Legacy. Probably the best Superman story arc outside of the series three part opener. Amazing animation and a gripping ending!

The Mad Hatter
11-22-2001, 12:24 PM
It took me a while to catch Legacy too, for some reason. But even with the wait, it's still worth it! The end has an epic battle with Supes and Darkseid that has a stunner of a climax.

LOL same thing happened to me with Legacy. I caught the first part when it premiered, but totally missed the second part. Then when it replayed, I missed it again! It wasn't 'til the third time that I caught it, and even then just barely. My tape literally cut out the second it ended.

I think it's a great time to be a TAS fan! You have all 4 shows on the network now. Mondays are gonna be a blast becuase of the schedule - it just all looks good!

news is WB is gonna release the DVDs in crap theme versions, would someone please kill their execs?! so I think this news of batman and superman TAS reairing is very exciting! I will finally be able to record all the episodes and maybe one day port them to DVD, I plan to do this with all 4 animted series, prob is DVDR players arent going to be affordable for a good while for me :P
I hope they reair some of batman beyond episodes though, Im missing a few previously aired ones due to its timeslot...

Woah..... thats 8 PM for me. Good for me, bad for you. Hmm...

Still bad news though... I have better things to watch on TV at that time; yet I wouldnt mind seeing that show again....

Darn.

Moi aussi! Oh la la, c'est trop tard! I usually retire for the night at 11:00, with tonight being an exception since it's almost 2:30 am and for some weird reason I'm speaking French. Oh well, this time schedule just sucks. I was very excited that Batman was going to be on again until I found out that I won't even be awake to watch it. :(

Ah . . . one of the few instances where being a copy editor at a newspaper pays off. My shift typically ends around midnight, so I'm all wound up until 2 a.m. or so. Could any of you guys who can't stay up that late tape the shows, maybe?

This is a godsend, because I've been driving myself crazy trying to find "The Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne" thru amazon.com, and now I'll get it (relatively) for free :)

Oh crap, I just realized that 11pm-12am is the same timeslot that Gargoyles is on on ToonDisney!

:(

Oh well, I have most of them taped.

optimuslives
11-24-2001, 09:08 PM
FYI...Toon Disney repeats that same Gargoyles eps at 3 am to 4 am..this is when I have my TIVO grab them..

I am so psyched about the announcement that Thundercats is going to re aired..I have obtained many sets over the years and they always sucked..now I can make sure that they are taped in sp mode and on new tapes..

also cannot wait for Superman as I do not have any of these in my collection..WAY TO GO CN!!!!!

Now you just need to air M.A.S.K. ,the original Sunbow GI JOE eps and HE MAN and I will never..ever..change the channel..except for Wrestling, Samllville, Buffy, and Enterprise!!!!!!!!

I know, but it's not very often that I have the luxury of staying up until 4am.

I didn't think unity was that bad. A stupid villain i know but it was kinda a fun campy episode.

James Harvey

You will reall ylike Superman, optimuslives. The animation is very, very nice and the opening three part arc will hook you! They made gutsy decisions with the first arc but it pays off!

Superman was good but not great. It had it's share of really good episodes, like Legacy, and it's stinkers like The Main Man and Superman's Pal. But I think the timeslot for the show just fits perfectly. Dunno why...it just does...

*sigh* looks like I'll be going to bed early, setting my alarm, recording, then going back to bed. :(

What they should do is run a 2-hour block. Batman, Superman, Beyond, and then Justice League. And start it at a better time, like 8pm. THEN I'd have a reason to be happy.

Are you kiddin me! The Main Man was one of the best two parters OR episodes of the series. Not to mention because of the fact Lobo is hilarious in his cruelty. And of course, his character and Superman's boyscout character play off each other perfectly. :) Anyway, overall, Superman is a best bet for any animation fan who isn't into it.

And I don't mean to scare you guys any, but I missed Legacy the first time it was on TOO!! lol. I set my stupid alarm for the wrong time the first time it aired. And there was a baseball game on at the secont time. So I had to wait not the first reairing but the second.
