Howdy,

Dark Horse Comics' February 2005 solicitations (http://www.brokenfrontier.com/headlines/details.php?id=39).

Sorry for the late post, but the usual suspects didn't post a page, and it took 'till the Fourth Rail did their run through Previews (http://www.thefourthrail.com/features/1204/downthelinedecember.shtml) to even think to look for 'em.

Quickie highlights:

- Kurt Busiek writes an issue of "BMWFilms.com's The Hire." Love the writer, don't care for the comic. The month is looking lean enough from DC and Marvel that I may pick this up anyway.

- Conan Vol. 1 TPB. This is the Busiek/Nord paperback, although there's a new Marvel-era Conan TPB being solicited, too. Quick turnaround from the hardcover, although with Dark Horse's TPB timing, I suspect all of them are going to be late.

- The Cravan HC looks mighty interesting, but also mighty expensive at $15 for 72 pages.

- Dragon Prince #1 by Ron Marz. Marz and the team behind Samurai Heaven & Earth lost a ton of credibility when they drew a samurai with his swords on the wrong hip in the CBLDF "Even More Fund Comics" preview pages. I think I'd also rather go to any number of manga books if I want to read Chinese costume drama.

- Katsuya Terada's The Monkey King might be worth a look.

Not much from Dark Horse that's really appealing to me, so small list for myself:

[$2.99] Conan #13
[$2.99] Star Wars: Empire #30
[$15.95] Conan Vol. 1 TPB (April)

Gonna have to pick up that second edition of THAT YELLOW BASTARD, 'cause I can't find the first edition ANYWHERE.

Just CONAN for me, but the sheer quality of every issue makes up for it.
