Levins accounts the drop in sales of Gotham Adventures to the fact that "the book has been around for a long time" and that he thinks it is no longer a "hot commodity", hmmm.
Just No Comment.

Yeah, it's definetely either that or the crap stories and sub-par art.
One of the two.

I'm still hoping the stories will take an upswing. The story idea for issue #48 (which I'll be reporting in the newspage soon) sounds extremely promising. Plus the artist(s) on this issue will make it worth the cover price alone! (I know the stories ain't worth it...)

Hmmm....now Levins says that DC isn't interested in double-sizing Gotham Adventures' landmark issue #25, because it isn't selling well.
The Batman Adventures #25 was double sized, The Batman and Robin Adventures #25 was double sized...
I wonder what's so different about Batman: Gotham Adventures????
   Definately NO COMMENT!

Well it's not so hard to figure out, it's different here because it's not selling well!
As far as I am concerned, I think Peterson is the one who should take the blame. I really liked Levins's art in the latest issue... the one with Harley Quinn. He really did a great job with her.

It's issue #50 by the way, that won't be double sized. DC also didn't double size Batman: Gotham Adventures #25, Superman Adventures #25, or Superman Adventures #50. I guess you could blame all of those on Levins as well.
The book just isn't profitable and DC isn't going to waste money on extra costs to make the book doubel size. Simple as that. No one is responsible for it. And first off, the animated titles were never bit sellers to begin with, and the sales have ALWAYS been in the top 120 or so.

I think you're wrong, someone is responsible for it. You say the book isn't profitable but you also need to take into account the reason why it's not: people are let down by the book... and more and more so, "simple as that" :)
So how come ppl are feeling let down? Lack of creativity, bad editing choices, the way too long run of the latest creative team... there are many reasons for it actually.

I think I sorta worded myself wrong. The editors of the book make the decisions of who writes the book, draws the book, etc...so I guess the blame can be partially blame don the editorial team. They picked the creative team so it's easy to blame them. Sometimes, I get sick of hearing the same rhetoric that it's all Tim Levin's fault the book is failing. He's doing the best he can and people are just sligning mud at him. While the art isn't 100% perfect, it is still good. I like it. It's mainly the writing I don't like.
I do think some new blood should be kicked in. I can't wait for issue #48 when we see Rick Burchett and a 3rd animated artist (not saying who) do what sound slike a great flashback tale.

wow wow wait a minute, "a 3rd animated artist "? Since Bruce Timm is most likely not part of this, could it be...? :)

I am also mostly unhappy with Peterson's lackluster stories. Levin's art isn't great, but not as uneven as Rousseau's. I am glad Levins took over after Craig's two issues, I'm just disappointed that he's stayed so long. No, I'm disappointed that I don't enjoy his art as much anymore. I doubt he can do anything about that. How he draws is how he draws. But his art in combo with Peterson's stories really gets me down. I'm praying issues #48 and #50 totally blow me out of the water, I do want this book to be good! I love Gotham Adventures!
Oh, yesterday I spent an hour writing a letter to the DC website suggesting a rotating art team for B: GA. I wanted to save the draft so I clicked "save draft", only when I checked my folders, all that was saved was their address and the title of my letter! ALL MY TEXT WASN'T SAVED!!! I didn't have the chance to send it!!!
Man, was I irate!!

Losing a leter has happened to me quite a bit! The leter I sent to Superman Adventures #27, that won me the prize of the month, was a second draft. That is probably the only good thing that arose from that!
Issue #48 has some potential as it deals with Dick Grayson's first days at Wayne Moanor as a kid. But while I can see Peterson ruining it...there's also great potential...
