Adult Swim has been running out of fresh material by the end of 2001, but do not fret. There is more coming in 2002, including the arrival of "Baby Blues", an animated sitcom based on the successful comic strip by Rick Kirkman and Jerry Scott.

Starting January 6th, "Baby Blues" will air on Adult Swim at [10:30] PM, replacing one of the slots of the popular series, "Home Movies."

"Baby Blues" is the story of two well-intentioned but weary young parents, Darryl and Wanda, who deal with the dual pressures of their new little bundle of joy, Zoe, and the dysfunctional family living next door.

"Baby Blues" has had 26 episodes through two seasons; however, the second season-- though fully paid for and produced by WB-- was cancelled and not to be shown again... until Williams Street got a hold of it, that is. "Baby Blues" has an excellent cast, including Julia Sweeney, Deidrich Bader, E.G. Daily, Phil LaMarr, and Kath Soucie, with special guests like Drew Carey, Bob Costas, George Takei, and Steven Weber.

Baby Blues Joins Adult Swim Ensemble

Animated Series Joins Cartoon Network's Highly-Rated Block Aimed at
Adults 18-34

Like a cool ointment to a burning case of diaper rash, Baby Blues
brings its soothing humor to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim on Sunday,
January 6 at 10:30 p.m. (ET, PT). Baby Blues is an animated half-hour
comedy series based on the award-winning, nationally syndicated comic
strip that tells the story of a young couple, Daryl and Wanda
McPherson, who find themselves comically handling the challenges of
parenthood. Adult Swim is Cartoon Network's block of animated programming
aimed at adults ages 18-34.

In Baby Blues, Darryl and Wanda handle the daily challenges of
raising their two kids, loud and cranky Zoe and easy-going infant Hamish,
with wit, intelligence and perspective. But sometimes things get
outrageously out of hand. Adding to the mix are the rambunctious family
next door, a ditzy teenage babysitter and a co-worker who has all the
answers about handling "domestic situations."

Adult Swim airs Sunday and Thursday nights from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. (ET,
PT). Since its launch in September 2001, Adult Swim has built a
loyal audience for its blend of irreverent comedy and cutting-edge
action-adventure programming. In a short time, Adult Swim has become a
magnet for young adults who love animation, with ratings up 20 percent
in households and 75 percent among adults 18-34. Delivery, too, has
improved by 21 percent in households (939,000) and 83 percent with
adults 18-34 (352,000). Adult Swim's rotating line-up includes quirky
comedies Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Home Movies, The Brak Show,
Harvey Birdman, Attorney-at-Law, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Sealab 2021,
as well as the animé series Cowboy Bebop.
