As for me, threeway tie between Zero from Megaman X, Peter from Earthworm Jim, or these incredibly odd characters from an old Genesis game made by Acclaim/PF Magic called "Ballz". Although they were made entirely of colored spheres with no facial features, the ability to make sound effects and taunt like they do is enticing. And do victory dances to catchy music without joining the football team. :p
