Okay this is the official talkback. It is for discussing what happens on the show, not talking about the stupid football fiasco and how American values are going to hell. If you don't watch the show kindly post your moral condemnation of the rest of us in the OTHER Desperate Housewives thread.
Okay, let's begin:
I was SOOOO glad Mrs. Huber was killed. I HATED her with a passion. She was blackmailing and pissing off so many people it's no wonder one of them finally murdered her. I'm just surprised the show offed her so soon because she could have DEFINATELY stirred up enough trouble to make for five interesting seasons.
I felt SOOO bad for Lynette. That vision of Mary Alice offering her the gun was disturbing.
Bree's son is obviously a sociopath. She REALLY should turn him in.
Gabrielle just doesn't care about anyone but herself. At least she ackowledged to the priest that she was being a selfish child.
Susan and Mike finally hooked up! Yay!
A good episode. ****.

today Christina Estrabrook, was of course on GMa but also 'the view' and said she is still filming episodes o.O
anyways, great episode, and as you said the Lynette thing was disturbing. I'm sure they got some people (like myself) on the thoery that it was gonna be her.
i mean it was basicly said to be Mrs.Huber all along but still, that was a very possible theory...
and as glad as i am to see Susan hook up with Mike, why did she give in so easy at the end? What about the money and the gun?

I got scared during Lynnette's dream sequence, I thought it was for real!
BTW, someone said that Lynnette dropping an S bomb at the soccer field while talking to Bree and Susan, did anyone else catch that?
Another great episode!
BTW, it scored 27.2 million viewers! Another record! :)

Mrs. Huber had to have been written just to die. If you aren’t hot enough, you are either going to be shipped off to the nut house, beaten to death or hit by a car. It’s simple television logic.

Susan got together with Mike, because he said she could ask him any questions she wanted. Presumably, he's ready to tell the truth, and we'll see how far that truth goes.

ANother interesting episode. 'A'
I thought they might throw a twist in and have Mike kill Susan because she found the money and gun.
Thank goodness they didn't.
The old busybody got nailed. A very unlikeable character.
Lynette dreams were surreal. Hope she gets back on the right.
so Mrs. Huber dies.. guess that's something to look forward to. I just saw the first episode this morning, and this looks like a pretty good show. It's pretty funny just how desperate the women get to. LIke the first episode was that one woman mowing the lawn while her husband was drinking at the party.. that was just hilarious. I can see how so many people are watching this show, it's good.

Great dynamic between Susan and Gabrielle. If I was Susan I'd be pissed too.
Somehow I don't think the Zach and Dana story is as simple as that.
I REALLY want Lynette to get that nanny.
Bree throwing urine on Rex was funny and symbolic proving it is better to be pissed off than pissed on.

It would seem that the theme of last Sundays show was "BUSTED".
Carlos was busted for business dealing.
Gabby was busted for having an affair.
Zach busted out the nut house.
Andrew was busted for Pot.
Lynette busted out the Nanny from her employer.
And Susan almost busted out of her dress. :D

Man, Rex is a butthole. At the start of the series I felt sorry for him but now I want Bree to take him to the cleaners.
I was confused as to why Lynette wanted her nanny to fail. Must be a mother thing I don't understand.
Gabrielle stole this episode. Her moving her furniture to Bree's garage was VERY funny. Her kiss with Carlos had me laughing out loud when he told her to burn the papers in the safe. But she burns his passport instead!
Susan was right to send Zach back. Her relationship with her daughter is complicated. I had no idea the reason she leaned on her daughter so much was because of the divorce. Susan may have been right but there wasn't really an easy answer.
I WAS a little worried about Rex cheating on Bree for the simple reason I don't want this to turn into an ordinary soap with everybody cheating on each other, making liking any characters impossible. When that happens the show will have jumped the shark and I'll stop watching.

He was suppose to be the one who was secretly gay and it really seemed they were leading up to that until this new episode....

One thing I am really enjoying about this series is the Mary Alice voiceovers at the end. They just tie the entire episode together is such a great way. Everything is resolved and yet leaves it all in question. You get no dialogue, no thoughts from the characters—just the thoughts of Mary Alice observing the world. It's so well put together it leaves me with a "man this show is awesome" feeling.

The Body of Mrs Huber has finally been found.
Some good bits in the last episode were:
1) Susan and Eddie in the boat. HAHAHA!!! YUCK!!!
2) Bree getting excited over the present from George.
3) Lynette getting her kids into day care and then getting busted for it.
Only ho-hum part was the Carlos and Gabby thing. Kind of boring.

Last weeks episode wasn't very good, of course I missed two recent episodes so that might have something to do with it. Lynette's plot with yoga class was pretty dull, Bree's plot seemed kind of pointless. The only plots that were interesting where Gabrielle and Susan's. I kind of felt bad for Eddie.

Ryan O'Neil guest appreance was so-so.
Paul tells Zach the secret about Dana. But we the viewers, for the most part, get left in the dark.
No follow up for the Jawerly planted in Mike's garage by Paul.
Too many plots going on. Need to resolve a couple before adding more.
I give this episode a 'C'.

Bree and Rex getting kinky.
Lynette throwing eggs.
Susan falling down. But she does that every episode. ;)

Wow, I had always assumed Carlos was dangerous but I guess he's a wife-beater now too. Yikes.
I was SO surprised that Dana was actually Zach's real name. That threw me for a loop. The new Mrs. Huber may not be as annoying and despicable as her sister, but she is WAAAAAY creepier.
Bon Newhart OWNED this episode. That is all.
And Gab's preggers? And with John's kid? Man, if Carlos ever gets a DNA test on the kid (and why wouldn't he?) he is going to spaz. I think him messing with her birth control was a mistake he is going to live to regret.
I have a question: when ladies take birth control pills can't they TELL they are on them? My meds have side effects so I'd know pretty well if I stopped taking them. Don't ladies periods stop on the pill?
Well, it was an intruiging episode and I hate Carlos more than ever. I NEVER thought I'd feel sorry for Gabrielle. ****.

Actually, usually taking birth control regulates women's periods. If they usually have irregular periods they would notice the difference, but if their periods tend to be regular anyway they wouldn't notice a difference. Actually, dye to a woman's menstrual cycle there's always three sugar pills in a package of birth control. These pills are taken on days when a woman can't get pregnant, but it helps them to remember to take the pills even when they don't have to take them. I probably explained that pretty badly. But, the point I was trying to make is that since there's always a few sugar pills in each month's birth control pills, replacing regular birth control pills with sugar pills would not be noticed. Some women might experience undesirable side effects with birth control pills, but in those cases usually they'd choose a different method of birth control that would not give them side effects. So, the short answer is no, most women wouldn't notice a difference, though some might.

Well, tonight's episode was a bit of a disappointment. I REALLY wish they had gone in more with the story of Mike finding out Paul was the murderer but they didn't. I REALLY want to know why Mary Alice killed herself.
And any sympathy I had for Bree evaporated when she told her son he was going to Hell. Well, I actually believe he IS, not for his homosexuality but because he is a total bastard. I have to admit I laughed when Bree announced during the dinner with the Reverand that Rex was into S&M.
I love Kathryn Joosten. Lynette needs to be nicer to her and I was glad they were taking steps for that.
Gab is a horrible person too. The SECOND she accepted John's credit card she confirmed that. When his parents find out (and since it's this show they will) they are going to go ape-poopy.
Susan's mother is officially the most annoying character on the show now that Mrs. Huber is dead.
Meh. ***1/2.

I bet I was like, the only person on these boards who watched this instead of Family Guy...now I have to wait till June to see the repeat of Family Guy...but, hey, if I missed this who knows how long it would be until they aired a repeat. Besides, for all I know Fox airs tonights episode of Family Guy again in a few weeks simply because they have nothing better to put on their schedule. After all, after American Idol ends they got nothing.
In case anybody DID watch Desperate Housewives, can someone tell me what the detective said at the end? He was saying "Maybe I can..." and then my affiliate went to a blank screen.

This was a pretty good episode. The mystery is deepening (although we've pretty much got it all figured out if you put ALL of the clues together) and Zach is VERY creepy as is his dad.

To build up an audience because Fox knows they'll fail in that department.
FG rocked, AD was average, DH was great.
I think I predicted why Mary Alice (Angela) killed herself.
When Felicia had that flashback we hear that Zach's mother (Deidre, the lady who was in the toybox chopped up) was a drug addict and that a little while afterwards her and the father went missing and a bit after that Angela & Dana (Zach) went missing too and it was then when Paul & Mary Alice moved to Wisteria Lane. So I think that either Paul or Mary Alice killed Deidre, chopped her up, put her in the toybox and kept it with them and Mary Alice killed herself from the grief of that and Mrs. Huber sent her that note because she figured out what happened and/or did more investigation into what happened with Dana. Just my theory. We WILL find out in the season finale though why she killed herself.

I love this show. ALL of the clues are fitting together nicely. The ONLY mystery the audience cannot solve at this point was the exact reason Mary Alice killed herself.
And how bout that new Mrs. Huber, huh? I found her sister unbearable but Harriet Samsome Harris plays her sister so creepily that I can't help rooting for her. I REALLY want Paul to get what's coming to him.
And hooray for Susan and Mike! FINALLY she learns the whole story.
Gab is treading some DANGEROUS waters here. Carlos seems THIS close to finding out and when he does heads are going to roll. Carlos scares me.
A great episode with some hilarious Bob Newhart action and the apparant leaving of Susan's annoying mother! Hooray! ****1/2.

I totally agree about Mrs Huber, she seems like one tough cookie. What about Bree? Can you explain to my why she's still with her good for nothing husband? Also is it me or does Edie's character keep changing? She goes from man eater to friend helping Susan to a morality meter? Her character just bugs me.

Some weeks you root for Bree (when Rex was cheating), some weeks you root for Rex (When Bree told Andrew he was going to hell). If they just would synch up their horrible behavior more, they could be VERY happy.
As for Edie I think the writers are trying to give her depth. Which as the neighborhood slut is something that she sorely needed. I've actually found ALL of her "transformations" believable and making sense within the context of the character.

I'm sure they will repeat the whole thing, don't really see why they wouldn't.They'd have to add airings if they're going to make it through. If you give summer four Sundays a month for three months you'll only get through about half the season. Adding September brings it to only 16 and you know the new season will start by October if it hasn't already.

Wow. You can TELL next week is the season finale. A LOT of stuff happened tomight.
First off Carlos isn't crazy, he's stupid. He didn't even seem particulaly upset when he was beating up that kid. It was just that he swore to beat up whoever Gab was cheating on and felt the need to follow through. He didn't exactly put too much thought into it.
I am SO worried Mike will kill Paul next week. Susan JUST found out he wasn't a killer and now he might be.
I love the new Mrs. Huber. She's EVERYTHING the old one should have been but wasn't. Creepy and NOT annoying.
Bree makes a LOT of bad decisions regarding Rex and George. What did I tell you about Bree and Rex being horrible people at different times? George is 150 times a bigger creep than both of them put together.
Lynette hasn't exactly had the season's most compelling storyline but it's getting good. Whats-his-face is pissed and WILL probably do the nasty with the chick from The Commish.
I wish I was Edie's sweater.
Great episode: *****.

What happened at the very beginning, I missed it. The part with the narrator I mean.
Why did George take a picture of Brie's underwear? I'm guessing someone's eventually going to find that picture and realize that he found the sex toys himself.
Wow, we actually see Danielle for once. However, Andrew's nowhere to be seen. What, can they only afford to play one actor at once?

Wow, what a great finale. I did NOT expect Rex to be the one who died. I feel so bad that he died thinking Bree tried to kill him. When Bree finds out she is going to feel awful. I really despise George.
I also think I hate Mary Alice. Aside from being a smug self-satisfied ***** SHE was the one who killed Deidre. I feel really bad for Paul now, who I always had thought was a creep. The look of pain in his eyes when Mike was deciding whether or not to kill him really sold me that this was a guy who had been to hell and back and really didn't deserve any of what happened. I think if I was in his place I might have killed Mrs. Huber too.
Carlos is an idiot. I hope they lock him away for a long time. True, Gab is kind of a character you tend to hate but it was ingenius of the writers to marry her to a character even more selfish than she is. I was glad John told him and I was glad he started going off so everybody could see what a monster he was.
As for Lynette, well, Tom went a little insane and for once that was a good thing. I think he let her off easy and I bet next season will prove that.
And the only cliffhanger of the night was what exactly would happen to Susan and Mike at the hands of Zach. I feel bad for him too. I wonder what is going to happen to him. Mrs. Tillman isn't just going to let Paul slide on the murder of her sister. I expect Paul will be taken to jail but I have no idea what will happen to Zach. Mrs. Tillman was fooling herself by thinking she would be the one to take care of him.
A great and satisfying end to the season and the mystery. Let's see if Lost can do the same. *****.

I genuinely felt bad for Bree in this episode. That moment when she cried at an empty table was probably the most emotional moment in this series so far. It was really strange to see such stoic character cry so hard like that. But, I was wondering where Danielle and Andrew were. It seemed odd that they weren't there.

So then if Susan DOES marry Mike and Zach is his kid then that means that Julie kissed her step brother...right? creepy.

No kidding, Susan does have a perchance to put herself in awkwark situations. I really don't think Zach is gonna shoot Mike. Even if he did, we all know Mike can take a bullet, heck he could take them out to dinner after Zach was done;)

Zach: You killed my father!
Mike: No, Zach, I AM your father!
All this needs is the sound of a respirator.:D

Now that the Mary Alice story is supposely done with, maybe next season they can get Rex to narrate from beyond the grave.

I'd rather keep Mary Alice as the narrator. She was closer to the other Housewives, and had more personal relationships with them. Rex would probably just narrate the entire show from Susan's shower. I know I would.

By the way, did anyone watch those deleted scenes that they advertised that they were going to show on Good Morning America?

Well, they always advertised it on Sunday saying "tomorrow on Good Morning America. So, I guess it was on Monday. I believe I've seen the ads twice. So, I would guess there was one on the 16th and one on the 23rd.
