There are rumors going around that a Metroid movie is coming out.....even if it is who would be in the cast?

Believe nothing you hear. The last official news on a Metroid movie was that some production company had acquired the rights. Which means next to nothing. The moral of the story? Don't look for Samus on the big screen anytime soon.

Last thing I heard about it was that it was shelved indefinitely.
A show of hands of everyone who believes this will never see the light of day.

Yeah, it's one of the huge stack of projects John Woo has been attached to over the years.

All the more reason why it won't happen then.
Remember Superman vs. Lobo?

Cool! :) Hey, if Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and even Super Mario Bros. can get its own movie, then surely Metroid can too.
I'd also love to see a movie trilogy of The Legend of Zelda!

Sure. A trailer for a movie that hasn't been staffed, written, cast, filmed, and essentially doesn't exist in any way.
Incidentally, gullible is also written on your ceiling.

I'd like to see a Legend of Zelda movie, but I don't think I'd want to see it be like Lord of the Rings. LoZ never really seemed that serious and dramatic to me. Rather than an epic war story, I always thought LoZ had a little bit more of a fairy-tale adventure type of quality to it. Or maybe it just felt that way because I always associate Legend of Zelda with playing NES as a kid. Anyway, I'm not really in the mood for epics anymore. It would be nice to see a fantasy movie that wasn't quite as huge and dramatic as LotR and not quite as kid-oriented as some of the Harry Potter movies. Something in the nice middle area.
As for Metroid, well, I don't really care too much. Of all the old classic NES games, Metroid was the one that I cared for least.

Agreed. I think a Zelda movie should skew more toward the Willow than the LotR.
