"DBZ Budokai 3" - Talkback

I noticed there was no talkback thread for this, so I decided to make. Talk about the game, it's strengths, it's weakness, and it's secrets.

I haven't played it yet but I've heard it's the most faithful adaptation of DBZ yet. I'll probably pick it up next week.

Out of the three, I've only played the original Budokai at a friend's house.

Now I'm not exactly a diehard DBZ fan, but a moderate one. What I played out of the original was a little shocking...an actual, somewhat decent DBZ game. It was far from perfect, but at least a step in the right direction.

What I gather is that 2 was a step down from the first game, and that 3 is a HUGE step up from both games combined. It should be impressive, as the first game was pretty good as it is.

I'll pick it up once it heads to the 'Cube next year.

wow, i didnt even know this was out already!!!!!

i've played 1 and 2, and 2 was the crappiest piece of crap ever crapped for a dbz game. that game just plain sucked. DBZ:B 1 was alright, i wish they would remake some of the role playing DBZ games from snes, those were awsome.

Anyways i've learned my lesson, im going to rent this one before i go and buy it.

You would think atari would come up whit a better line up when having a the right to a series what a very large list of main characters. Out of the 10 movie villains they only use 2 of them? Why goku is the only one whit over 3 alter ego`s? Where is adult goten,majin vegeta cyborg freeza or matel cooler etc? Why is satan still in the line up?:sweat:

Majin Vegeta is in it. You equip "Babidi's Mind Control", fulfill the requirements and boom.

Cyborg Frieza and Metal Cooler are in it. You need to use "Frieza's Spaceship" and "Cooler's Spaceship" respectively.

Adult Goten? He was barely in Z at all! Of course, they did include (pre-GT) Uub, which isn't much better. o_o

I checked the game out from work and found it to be a decent fighting game and a great DBZ game. I thought the first two games sucked as far as fighting games go, but Budokai 3 is actually a pretty good game. I would recommend picking it up if your a DBZ fan.

The 2nd one goes up to the buu saga if I must say so myself. As for the third..does it go from begining to end or does it just start where budokai two left off?

But still they sould add more char. It a 3 TV series,13 movies,2 TV special and a OVA anime what butt load of char that can be used for a fighting. Who would not want to play as teen chichi,DB roshi in his prime or super 17?
