Thanks to my good friend The Magic Box. (http://www.the-magicbox.com)

- Here are some new images of Atari's Dragon Ball Z Sagas: Evolution (http://www.the-magicbox.com/0411/game041118e.shtml), an action adventure game with RPG elements. The story spans from the Saiyan Saga to Cell Game Saga, you can play as multiple DBZ characters, such as Goku and Vegeta.

- Nintendo of Japan announced they are working on a TV Tuner both Nintendo DS and GameBoy Advance SP, called the DSTV Tuner, it will be compatible with both GBA-SP and Nintendo DS, and it operates on 3 alkaline batteries, which can run for 6 hours. The DSTV Tuner is scheduled for a spring 2005 release, for 9240 yen.

- Nintendo has posted a poll in its homepage, asking users if they would be interested to purchase an adaptor which allows you to play all existing N64 cartridges on GameCube, and how much would you pay for it.

Discuss, or add on if you wish.

I think we should have a "This Month in Videogames" thread, where people can post little news stories like these. The little items by themselves don't usually warrant their own thread, but collecting a number of stories in a thread like this could be very interesting.

- Nintendo has posted a poll in its homepage, asking users if they would be interested to purchase an adaptor which allows you to play all existing N64 cartridges on GameCube, and how much would you pay for it.I heard about this, and hope it goes through. I never had an N64, and there were a few great games I never got to try. I'd be interested in buying this, but I don't know if most people would. Most Nintendo fans probably already have an N64.

Here's another story for the pile:

-A sequel to the Chronicles of Riddick game Escape from Butcher Bay is in the works. (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/11/18/news_6113513.html) There was a lot to like about the first game, so I hope they continue to develop some of the better elements. Never saw the movie, but I sitll liked the game a lot.

Edit: Also, the sequel to Battlefield 1942, Battlefield: Modern Combat, will appear on the next Xbox console (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/11/18/news_6113538.html).

If we don't get movie sequels, I hope we get the finish out the story in the video games.

I wouldn't mind going back in time a little bit and playing Conker's Bad Fur Day.

Plus them gillions of games you can get at Gamestop for 5 bucks.

I wouldn't mind going back in time a little bit and playing Conker's Bad Fur Day.Then get Live and Reloaded when it comes out in March. It has an improved version.

That involves spending a crapload more (XBox + Live + Decent DSL connection for an online mode I wouldn't use + Conker) than a Game64 adapter.

Anyone else think that DBZ game looks entirely too similar to Bid for Power? It could be fun though. I wonder if it's multiplayer...

N64 adapter for GCN? Now we're talking! I wish they'd make something for GCN that would allow me to play SNES and NES games too.

Though it would be nice to be able to play the original games or at least have true-to-the-original ports.. (Crystalis, I'm looking at you. )

- Here are some new images of Atari's Dragon Ball Z Sagas: Evolution, an action adventure game with RPG elements. The story spans from the Saiyan Saga to Cell Game Saga, you can play as multiple DBZ characters, such as Goku and Vegeta. As far as I am concerned Dragonball Z ended when the last episode aired. I have moved on.- Nintendo of Japan announced they are working on a TV Tuner both Nintendo DS and GameBoy Advance SP, called the DSTV Tuner, it will be compatible with both GBA-SP and Nintendo DS, and it operates on 3 alkaline batteries, which can run for 6 hours. The DSTV Tuner is scheduled for a spring 2005 release, for 9240 yen.It is just another tv tuner for a handheld. Gamegear had one and I believe Turbo Express had one. Is this Nintendo's first? I doubt we will be seeing it since in most parts of the country you won't be able to get a signal on the thing. That is why we use cable and satellite to get local channels. Remember when handheld tv's were a big friggin' deal? Do they even sell them anymore?Nintendo has posted a poll in its homepage, asking users if they would be interested to purchase an adaptor which allows you to play all existing N64 cartridges on GameCube, and how much would you pay for it.Is this an attempt to expand their meager library? A little too late doncha think? My mind has already moved on to the next generation.

It was a first person Quake 3 mod that got cancelled due to legal threats because he characters being modeled were from DBZ.

In a bit of news that will likely please many people, a sequel to the insanely fun Katamari Damacy has been confirmed. (http://ps2.ign.com/articles/568/568997p1.html) Though it's only been announced for Japan so far, a US release is very likely.

The recently released game Ghost Recon 2 has been banned in South Korea. (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/11/24/news_6114004.html) The game takes place in the near future, and has (American?) special forces fighting various conflicts in North Korea. The game was going to be localized for the Korean market, but the ban put a halt to that. The article linked also had an interesting quote from a North Korean reporter who saw the game at E3.

Lastly, Infogrames has sold the rights (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/11/24/news_6113971.html) to the popular and influential Civilization game series. Who did they sell it to? Well, we don't know yet. What will this unidentified company do to the series in the future? Time will tell.
